It’s a no from me, dawg.
I read the ingredients on the label, and this has castor oil and shea butter, which I thought was… interesting, to say the least, for a glitter primer. But on the primer it claims the oils will help the glitter stick. So I went in with positivity, especially consider I adore so many Essence products.
But this doesn’t do much, at all.
It goes on transparent with a pink duochrome, which is odd but once it’s blended out it looks almost completely clear and I don’t think it affects eyeshadows.
The problem is that it’s really not tacky or sticky at all, the way a glitter primer should be. It’s quite smooth and feels slightly emollient and moisturizing. Which is not only not ideal to grab onto glitter, but also for someone with oily eyelids such as myself. It did and OK job of grabbing the glitter (but not great, by any means) but it didn’t last very long at all. It’s a bit useless for its intended purpose.
