I have used Gliss keratin series for a long time now and my hair has never got worse than how it is when I use Kerastase or more expensive masks from Schwarzkopf. I also see benefit from this mask – not in terms of hydration that much, more like that restructuring effect, which is of course temporary. It also softens my overprocessed hair without making it mushy. It has silicones but is not loaded with them the way some newer Gliss masks are and doesn’t leave a sticky film on hair. It also doesn’t cause build-up easily – but my hair is quite brittle and thick. The intense cocoa-rubber-perfumey smell of this line may be too much for some. It doesn’t stay on my hair much but I get a whiff from time to time. Altogether a good mask, but if you want some shine on top of it, the yellow tub (oil nutritive) is definitely better. Altogether, it is better for my overprocessed hair than many others, especially at this price range.

I’ve used this over the years off and on and then forgot about it until now when it seems to be now sold in all USA drug stores, so I bought a jar. I love it and can’t believe I almost forgot about it. It provides slip without build up and makes my damaged hair with dry lengths and oily roots really nice. I also haven’t noticed much if ANY loss of color despite it having hydrolyzed keratin in the -ing’s, which is a major bonus! It makes my blond shiny and nice. Great value for less than $10 USD. Will be a staple for foreseeable future.
