I hated this mascara, the Diorshow Iconic OVERCURL WATERPROOF is heaps better than this mascara. The formula of this mascara is really wet and does not hold a curl at all. If you try building it up it will clump together. It also took forever to dry because it was so wet. You curled your lashed really well and applied the first coat and it already has flopped down. Even after 5 minutes when the mascara has dried your lashes will still feel really sticky n rubbery like it’s been coated. I looked at the package ingredients and lord behold it is not waterproof. Water is the first ingredient. With true waterproof mascaras normally wax is the first ingredient to appear on the list. I was so disappointed and was misled. With the Overcurl waterproof formula, Isodecane (wax) is the first ingredient so i know straight away that it will hold a curl and is waterproof. The only good thing about this mascara is the brush- the plastic bristles gets into every lash.
Like the previous reviewer i bought Diorshow Iconic waterproof mascara because apparently Miss Meghan Markle wore it on her wedding day. It’s a little confusing but there’s 2 types of Iconic mascara- the original Iconic mascara with the rubbery bristles which is this one and the Overcurl version which is the spoon curve shaped brush. I ended up buying both in waterproof to see which was better and i have to say the Overcurl version is heaps better than this one. And i’m more inclined to say that miss Markle probably used the Overcurl version on her wedding day. She has been quoted in previous interview that she likes this mascara but maybe I’m thinking they confused this mascara with the other Iconic Overcurl mascara. The Overcurl version has a stronger, drier formula and dries really fast and holds the curl too. Stick with Diorshow Iconic OVERCURL WATERPROOF mascara.

I got this after the royal wedding (ms markle) and was used by her MUA Daniel Martin. I spent so much money on this but was so disappointed. Then I realize i needed the lash primer that goes with it. So i used my Maybelline Gigi Hadid Fiber Mascara and only then i began to see results. Even then it doesn’t lengthen but only separates the lashes. I’m not impressed but some how this worked for markle! The sleek slim stainless steel looking long tube with Dior embossed signature is the only nice thing. The brush didn’t work without primer. There are better mascaras/dupes out there. Buy Dior Iconic mascara with the corresponding primer if you must(which means more cash spent!).Or else forget it, guys! I still like UD perversion, Too Faced Better Than Sex, Marc Jacob Velvet Noir and the range from Maybelline & Sephora. I`m not buying Dior Iconic any more. I’ll stick to my true tried and tested bunch .. Thanks!
Cons
Not waterproof
mascara runs!

This was my mascara for fancy events.
On me, it was pretty dramatic. Very black, not much for volume (which is fine), and good definition once I learned how to use the wand. I always erred on the cautious side with this mascara, using only a very thin coat to cover my lashes, and if it got clumpy, I would comb through with a lash comb. It made my lashes very long and noticeable. It did bleed a little onto my lower eyelid after long wear, even with primer. Thankfully the bleed wasn’t that visible. It’s hard to fully remove, even with proper makeup remover.
The packaging is beautiful, one of my favorites. It *looks* like it would be as expensive as it is.
Unfortunately, it was too dramatic for everyday wear, so it was relegated to special occasions where I might be wearing more makeup. I don’t have that many of those, so ultimately, it was not worth it for the price. If I suddenly had more reason to buy a special occasion mascara, I’m not positive if I would buy this again or keep looking.

No no no no no no NO!
I thought this mascara had everything I was looking for. Great brand, quality product, silicon brush rather than bristles and it is supposed to be waterproof.
For that price (25 British Pounds) I thought I could blindly believe it did what it said on the tin. Nuh-huh. It smudges like there is no tomorrow. Plus it is absolutely no good for my poker straight eyelashes. They are long and thick, but completely flat, so I have to curl them before putting on mascara, which has to be waterproof.
A truly waterproof mascara SHOULD HOLD THE CURL. This thing made my freshly curled lashes go down in seconds, it is so bloody wet and gooey. NOT recommended for straight lashes if you want to hold a curl.
I had to return it. Very disappointed.

Hmmm I thought I reviewed Iconic Extreme before. Anyhoo…
Almost all Dior mascaras are my absolute HG products. Every time I want to change it up and buy another mascara, but I always just go back to Dior. They just make my lashes look fabulous. They are expensive but not as expensive as…ahem…Guerlain..ahem
Iconic Extreme is a waterproof version of Iconic which I also love but it did smudge a little by the end of the day (nothing major really I would still use it even if they didn’t come up with waterproof one). I think whoever left bad reviews just doesn’t know how to use it properly. I agree that the wand takes a bit of practice. And when you use the product first few times it really doesn’t do much (I think just like with any other mascara). You just need the air to get in the tube which would take about 4-5 days/uses. The formula is more liquidy than other mascaras so you really need the air to get its job done first =)
I have “Asian” lashes but not too short or too thin, they’re normal but straight so I have to curl my lashes. I hate fake eyelashes, never wear them so I just need a great mascara. I generally don’t like plastic wands but I love Iconic wand because it’s thicker and easier to use than other mascaras. Also, I find the brush picks up just the right amount of product and really lets me separate my lashes and coats them evenly. It doesn’t clump. Also, using Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum really helps, helps lashes get super duper long, and nurishes at the same time. and really would help hold the curl for days until you decide to take mascara off (not hygienic obviously lol but I’m just saying…=).
Here is how I use Iconic Extreme which might be helpful to some…
I curl my lashes first with Shiseido curler. Then I apply first coat of Iconic Extreme, I just sort of brush my lashes through and coat them lightly and evenly. After the first coat you wouldn’t notice much of a difference. Then I let it dry a bit, about 30 seconds and apply the second coat. Again, I just brush my lashes through to separate them and coat from tip to bottom in upward direction and wiggle through. and taadaa, I get longer and fuller lashes. Overall, it takes me less than 5 minutes to get my perfect look. I will be posting pic as well.
The mascara stays put all day, doesn’t smudge at all, doesn’t flake, doesn’t weigh my lashes down, holds the curl all day! It’s waterproof but easily removed with Nivea waterproof eye makeup remover. I’m trying to stay away from oil-based makeup removers and I like this Nivea over Neutrogena one.
I absolutely adore Dior!

I hated this. Clumsy to use, and I received a nasty eye infection from it. Brand new bottle, so it wasn’t an expired product. The only good thing, was that it is truly waterproof. It didn’t budge at all. Not sure if that’s a good thing though in my case !

There was nothing that I liked about this product. The huge wand was difficult to use even on my big eyes and it was very messy. It was extremely clumpy, and it was a brand new tube! It did not add length or volume to my lashes. If you curl your lashes, don’t use it. My curled lashes were bone straight in a second after using this mascara. This mascara is insanely expensive… $28.50 is too much. I do not recommend this product at all.

Pros: Precision brush, semi water proof, washes off easily, nice colour
Cons: very expensive, doesn’t hold a curl very well, not extremely water proof.
Verdict: Would not buy again at $30, better off with drugstore mascaras!

This is my standard mascara. I have tried a lot and this is the one I keep buying. My biggest complaint about mascara is that it ends up smudged under my eyes. Not this one. It stays on my lashes. It thickens and lengthens a bit not crazy false lash looking but perfect for making me look better.

This mascara won’t smear or smudge even in 40 C tropical rain. It can be a pain to take of but oil based cleanser will handle it. If you like separated lashes without clumps and with reasonable amount of thickness and length this is definitely worth a try. It gives effect really similar to ysl everlong but has better staying power.
