I was looking for a Perricone MD dupe since I’m starting to lose elasticity in my skin, and this came up when I searched some of the main ingredients. Since it’s about $130 cheaper than Perricone, it was worth a try. I had no expectations one way or the other. When I first put it on, I couldn’t believe it: My skin plumped and firmed up right before my eyes! I don’t say that lightly — I know it sounds crazy — but it’s true. There are a lot of good ingredients in skincare now, and I’ve tried things that show some improvement the next morning, but this is the first time I saw a dramatic difference immediately. I could not stop checking the mirror! The firming effect seems to dissipate after 8 hours, so I pat a tiny bit more on right on top of my makeup to get another boost. I’ve been using it morning and night for a week now, and my lines are noticeably softer and my skin is more moist.
It has a really nice texture that is a little different. It’s a thick cream, but it absorbs quickly. It doesn’t feel tacky or greasy. If I need more moisture, I add a couple drops of an oil on top, but I’ve realized that I’m used to the feel of heavy moisturizers and I usually don’t really need more than this. My skin feels comfortable and looks good. As far as scent, I get a hit of lavender, followed by the scent of products that don’t have artificial fragrances, which disappears by the time I finish applying it. When people complain about rancid scents, they are probably getting old or fake merchandise. I’m really excited about this moisturizer and the Derma E line! What’s not to love about a product that is effective and reasonably priced?

Bought this on closeout at my local grocery store-they stocked this brand in their organics section. I was out of the moisturizer I usually use at the time, and I thought I’d give this a try, or maybe keep it to use in a pinch. And….in a pinch is definitely the only time I would use it again. It didn’t break me out or anything, and it absorbs fairly quickly, but it really didn’t DO anything-I saw no firming effects, and my skin was no better or worse looking than usual. The main reason I most likely will not use this cream again is the fragrance-actually, more of an odor! It smells awful-the closest thing I can think of to describe the smell is spoiled mushrooms, if that makes any sense. Not my cup of tea. Not too expensive, though I can’t recall exactly how much it was ordinarily, and fewer harmful ingredients than a lot of moisturizers have, if you are concerned about that, but there are a lot of better options out there, IMO. I would not repurchase.

I got a sample of this in a Birchbox subscription one month. I was excited about it because it really firmed my skin better than most other products I have tried. The problem with sample sizes is you never get enough product to really test it to see how it will do for your skin and needs. Thinking this stuff was the bomb, I ordered the glass jar of this cream and after a week, realized it was causing pimples and is very heavy for someone who needs only a light moisturizer. So, $27 down the tubes.
Pros:
Firms face well, even eye area
Makes face feel smooth and supple
Cons:
Not hypoallergenic
Container isn’t sanitary and doesn’t come with a spatula
Heavy for someone who needs a lighter moisturizer

This wasn’t particularly moisturizing the two times I used it on my face. After that I stopped using it, because I hated the smell so much. The rest of the cream went on my feet, with indifferent results.

I’ve been using the serum version of this DMAE/ALA combination for approx 10months now. Results are pretty decent- my skin does seem quite a bit firmer. Obviously it can’t compare with invasive surgery/botox etc, but I’ve noticed perhaps 5-10% increase in my skin firmness. No change in pore size. No change in blemishes.
I was using too many different skin products so I decided to get this in the moisturiser version. Results seem, so far, basically the same as the serum.
This cream is quite moisturising, but for drier skins it might not be enough. I’m on accutane at the moment so my skin is super dry and I often need an oil serum in addition. Absorbs very easily and no unpleasant smell.
It does come in a jar, so hygiene of the product is not great. So far, the product seems to stay fresh.
I recommend this for normal or slightly dry skins.
UPDATE: minus 1 star as I find this really isn’t very moisturising. After I use it, I get that tight/dry feeling. Have to use another product on top to get moisturised.

I tend to have luck with the Dermae brand. I’m currently using their anti-wrinkle cleanser and love it. I wanted to add in some type of anti-aging cream to my routine as I don’t really have one. I still have very oily skin that is very clog prone and mild-moderate adult acne prone. I don’t have wrinkles but the under eye area has always been extremely dark, thin and crepey. But, genetics in my family is more about sagging than wrinkles. I’ll be 40 soon so I really want to start using something. I’ve been using this since Saturday and I love it.
First of all, this is a terrific base for foundation. It’s probably the best moisturizer I’ve used for foundation prep. I find that when I use this first before foundations, my makeup looks less cakey and more natural.
It also makes my skin feel incredibly smooth! It almost feels as though my skin is a cushion. I tend to have issues with clogged pores and overall bumpy texture and this…I can’t believe how nice this makes my skin feel.
I feel this is also great for oily skinned people. This moisturizer just sinks right into my skin in seconds with no greasy residue. It gives my skin a matte finish as well. This is a very thick moisturizer so a little goes a very long way.
Best of all, this moisturizer doesn’t break me out or cause clogged pores. In fact, I feel this moisturizer is actually clearing up my skin.
As for the firming benefits, I do feel a very slight firming sensation when I use this but I can’t say if this is actually lifting my skin because it’s too soon to tell.

This Derma E Firming DMAE Moisturizer surprised the h*ll out of me. I received it in a beauty box and wondered how good it might really be. It’s good, really that good. It plumps up my skin enough to hide those pesky crow’s feet and this fine line above my lip which nothing else has been able to touch. I use it in conjunction with a serum and toner and not alone, twice a day. My skin is generally dry, a little combination in the summertime heat.
Does it firm my skin? After a month of usage, I’d have to say perhaps a bit. That’s a really hard answer. My skin really isn’t sagging, but I am older and this stuff does plump so it makes me happy. I do notice that I may have to re-apply during the day (my skin is very dry in some areas) so I did take one lippie off for that reason.
It does come in a wide-mouth container, not the most sanitary, but I always scoop what I want out with a tiny spatula first so I don’t contaminate the entire jar. That’s easy to do. Would I purchase again? Most definitely. This one will stay in my arsenal.

I have been using this product on and off for 6 months. The packaging is a twist-off cap bottle, a little bit annoying having to twist the cap back on again everyday but make sure you do. If you don’t, the cream easily coagulates into a darker-brown, crusty goop which is not pleasant to deal with.
This cream absorbs very quickly and leaves no residue or grease behind. I use it mainly as a night cream. I apply a very generous amount to my eye area and by morning it is fully absorbed with no residue whatsoever. It leaves your skin feeling very hydrated and it is non-irritant, which is SUPER great for my acne-prone, oily, sensitive skin.
It is a great product, but it’s nothing special.

For some reason, this Derma E DMAE Firming Moisturizer (of which I only use at NIGHT ONLY), is fabulous. People keep telling me how gorgeous my skin is (I am 50). There have been several times that I was not able to purchase the moisturizer and I am telling you now, my skin was drab, dull and just plain crappy in texture. When I started the moisturizer once again, my skin firms up and I feel and LOOK so much better. For me, it’s a wonder moisturizer (night time only, in my opinion). I did recommend this product to a friend. She loved it – but for her, she did not care for the scent. Myself, the scent is fine. Nothing obnoxious at all.
During the daytime, under foundation, (in winter), I use the Derma E Vitamin E 12,0000 IU Crème. Yes, it is rich, but no scent, you do not need a lot. It just sinks into the skin and my foundation goes on so smoothly.
All this to say, is that I love the DERMA E products.

I am a avid Perricone user so I thought lets try this as I may alternate with my Perricone product the Advanced Firming Activator, my HG. Maybe use some on my neck and chest and save some money. My skin got crepy and lined really quick trying to use this as a substitute, so it is a definite NO!!!!
