This powder has a very strong smell. I used it to powder underneath my eyes to set concealer, and it irritated my (sensitive) eyes. Haven’t used it again 🙁

Hi!
I bought it online knowing that it’s not translucent, but it fits my skintone.
The packaging is cute, timeless, but plastic.Gold cap, black pot. It’s not much product, but,by the time you finish it,you are either tired of it or you want to buy it again.I would buy it again.
On the lid it writes “since 1953”.Well,it smells like 1953.
It stays on the facer, sets the makeup.I was affraid that it would look chalky, but no.
i haven’t used the sponge.I find it useless.Better apply it with a brush.

As someone with fair skin, it’s quite difficult to buy powder and foundation that matches my skin tone without making me look orange, so I usually go for a translucent powder. I ordered this thinking that it would indeed be translucent, however the colour is much darker than expected. Luckily, I wouldn’t go as far as saying it makes me look orange, so I can probably get away with wearing it during the summer months. Other than the colour, it’s not bad, it’s generally long lasting and blends well, however it does have quite a chalky finish, which is often the case with matte powders. What’s probably the most concerning thing is it’s strong perfume smell, which I really don’t think is necessary for a foundation and makes me wonder what kind of chemicals are going into it.
Overall it wasn’t at all what I was expecting, and while I will continue to use the one I currently have, I won’t be buying it again.

It gives you that floury finish that was on the go in the 50’s. It smells and the scent stays for a long time. I was looking for a drugstore alternative but it didn’t work out at all. I’ve got very sensitive combination skin and just a few minutes after I applied this powder I had to remove it, for it gave me an awful burning-itchy sensation. My nose remained irritated for several days. Would’t recommend it.

This is far from translucent… The colour is just awful

Urgh!!! Why, oh why did I buy this?! I was running out of my Mally poreless face defender and needed something quickly. I read the reviews on here and thought I’d give it a go. IT’S AWFUL!!!! Firstly, it stinks. It doesn’t just smell, it STINKS of old people’s homes. Secondly, it is so drying (and I have really quite oily skin) that it accentuates every tiny line and wrinkle on your face!!!! Also, the translucent isn’t translucent, it’s an orangey colour. Throwing it away won’t work, I need to burn it and cleanse my make-up drawer of it’s very existence!!!

Love it!!!

I found this product to be very orange! I have very pale skin and I chose the palest colour and it was orange!

The shade says translucent but don’t be confused, it’s not a translucent powder! Its a very matt beige sort of color. I always finish my foundation routine by applying it over my t-zone or all over my face when I want a more matt look. It lasts for quite a while; if used on a good foundation it can last up to 8 hours! It’s a must have for me!

This powder is not bad, lasts pretty long and fixes makeup but it’s too noticeable on the skin and it’s not good for daylight and everyday makeup but does the job for evening.
