Love this…I have a very short pixie type haircut. This adds much needed texture and volume to my fine hair and controls oilies. I can go a day or two without shampooing.

I grabbed this for my Mom to see if it helped keep some of her oils at bay, her hair is very short and thick so I hoped it might work. It does seem to absorb oil but I think the spray is too full to work with in shorter hair. Too much residue even though she has lighter hair.
I then tried it on my much dark hair, I even tried to lift so I just hit my roots where it would be hidden. It definitely adds volume but it leaves way too much residue to make it worth it. If I try again I’ll definitely get the Brunette type.

I bought this a while ago but had to return it. The scent was unbearable. It wasn’t stinky whatsover, but it smelled too clean and crisp, which gave me imediate headaches. It smelled like fabric softener. I’m very fussy about scents and I get headaches for no reason at all, so this is not uncommon. If you’re also like me, skip this.
After returning this, I got the Original scent. The text below is the exact review I wrote for the Original scent:
I feel terrible saying I didn’t like this. :/
About my hair: it’s dark-ish blonde, VERY VERY greasy (I have to wash it every single day or I look really disgusting), fine and long.
I have been using baby powder on my hair for a while, now. If you’ve never tried it: it’s very powdery, so it does leave a residue that you can feel and see, but it soaks up the oils FOR REAL. Because I’m blonde, I don’t mind the residue very much, it just kind of disappears once I rub my scalp.
Recently I had to travel and decided to buy my first bottle of dry shampoo ever, because taking baby powder on a trip it’s obviously not practical. I had heard amazing things about Batiste and everyone seems to love it so much, so I decided to get it. I first bought the Fresh scent, but couldn’t stand it. It gave me imediate headaches, so I returned it and got the Original scent.
I have used this product multiple times now, so here’s what I think of it:
1) I do like the scent of it, it’s quite citrusy and clean without being overwhelming. It gave no headaches.
2) It doesn’t leave too much of a residue and I believe this will work for any hair colour as long as you blend it into your scalp. Never forget to do that, or else you’ll have a white blob in the middle of your head.
3) It doesn’t feel powdery, which is something that really bothers me about baby powder. Whenever my boyfriend touches my hair, he imediately knows I have it on (he doesn’t understand the struggles).
4) Didn’t make my hair tangly or stiff, but rather flowy and soft
5) Now, what I DON’T like about it’s that it didn’t do the only thing I was expecting it to do: clean my hair. It seriously does nothing. The effects are so subtil they’re barely noticeable. At first, I thought I wasn’t using enough, so I spritzed a few times in each section of hair (which is honestly a waste), but my hair still looked dirty. Maybe a little less, but dirty. Unlike baby powder, that would keep me clean for a few days, this made my hair slightly less gross for a few hours, and then it would look horrible again. The only way I could use it without being pissed was at the end of the day, when my hair isn’t greasy yet but it’s already starting to look limp, so a little oompf is appreciated.
I’ve tried the XXL Volume only once before, and I remember I really liked it. It gave volume, despite making my hair a little tangly but it definitely cleaned my hair in just a few spritzes.
Overall, I don’t understand the point of this and I don’t know why it didn’t work for me. Because this is affordable, I would recommend trying it out if you’re curious. I believe it could work for hairs that don’t get extremely greasy but could use a little pick me up. If your hair is similar to mine, though, I don’t see how it could be any good.

Hands down the best dry shampoo I have ever used. leaves absolutely zero residue in hair and makes hair feel perfectly clean. I will continue to purchase.

This is the best dry shampoo that I have ever used. In fact, I love it so much that I have already gone through four cans. It doesn’t leave a dirty, weighed down residue like Tresemme or Oscar Blandi. It leaves my hair light and fluffy with good texture and volume. I have dark hair and find that the slight white residue brushes right out with a brush or by tousling the root area with my fingers. I use this on 2nd and 3rd day hair and to boost volume in the root area when I curl my hair. The fresh and clean scent is wonderful, clean, and unoffensive. It smells like really clean shampoo or laundry and is great at masking smokey scents. I like to buy this at Ulta because they frequently have Batiste BOGO 1/2 off and I can use a 3.50 coupon. I’ve tried many dry shampoos but this is the only one that actually makes my hair look clean.

I love Batiste dry shampoos now I know how to use them properly. This one has the best scent and it is ideal for just refreshing my style in the middle of my non-wash day. It never leaves my hair white once I’ve brushed it a few times. It’s not heavy duty – not like the XXL one (which I also rate highly) but that’s why I like it.

I have dark hair and this is probably leaves the strongest white powder situation in my hair of any dry shampoo I’ve ever used. It literally looks like I sprayed white hairspray into my hair like we used to do in theater to make us look old from the audience. The white does fade on its own with time…I notice that about 20 minutes later, my hair does look much less greasy and doesn’t look white, but there’s still a cast of gray over my hair that I have to work really hard to brush out. The scent is very strong, but smells good, clean and fresh as promised.
I’m sticking with my Psssst and giving this bottle to a blonde friend.

Love the scent of this and the volume it gave to my roots! My hair is limp and lifeless on the day that I don’t wash it and this is a life-saver as it completely revitalizes it. Very cooling on my scalp. Will definitely repurchase this!

Love, love, love. If you like Batiste dry shampoos, then def try this scent. It does leave a white residue that needs to be brushed out, but works and smells great.

My favorite Batiste dry shampoo. I think that they’re a bit over-hyped… I’ve yet to have a super horrible experience w/ dry shampoo, so I think that this is an ok product. I’ve used Salon Grafix, Tresemme, Oscar Blandi (which clogged up immediately), and PSSSST!. The quality is really all the same.
The package design on this is more unique compared to the rest, but otherwise, I would go for the $2 cheaper PSSSST! version, which features a retro/vintage 1950’s bottle. Love them both.
Fragrance-wise, this is better than Blush, which is a “floral” scent, and I enjoy floral perfumes, but I wouldn’t repurchase Blush.
