There are 3 EDTs in this line. These short descriptions are what i get when i smell these on my skin.
VENISE – sweet, warm, creamy, gentle, soft floral, oriental, powdery, romantic dry down, sensual, none suffocating, humid summer night/sunset with a nice view, a little more feminine than the other 2, i think of colors like off white, red, beige, pink, and violet. This one was my husbands favorite out of the 3 on me. This one is lovely.
DEAUVILLE- grassy, green, clean, moss, daytime, morning air, relaxed, chill, picnic in the afternoon, dry down smells of linen. Unisex, i think of bright yellow, olive green, baby blue and white. My husband like this one for him.
BIARRITZ- ocean, crisp, refreshing, citrus, summer, soapy, aggressive opening notes but beautiful dry down, longevity is the worst of the 3. I think of lime green, tangerine orange, true blue, sea salt foam, and lemon yellow. this slightly reminds me of the dry down of 1957 from the Les Exclusifs line. this is the more masculine of the 3
They are all very clean and not intimidating at all. You wont get a headache with any of these. Its very suitable as a start up beginner fragrance. Its light and wonderful for summer, but nothing groundbreaking. The longevity isnt there, for all 3, it doesnt stay on the skin and have 0 projection. I would love to own all 3 if they were parfums. Or if they are more travel friendly id be okay to carry it around to re-spritz. The bottle is too big for that and thats why did not purchase. Though, i do enjoy the way they smell, i love Venise and much more than the other 2. If i had some extra money laying around i might just pick it up, but for the price, i feel like id be buying watered down cologne in a pretty bottle.
Edit- RIVIERA- The newest edition and has grabbed my attention on initial spritz. It is different from the rest but still In the same light watery fresh floral spectrum. It is definitely more sweet but still has Chanel DNA. it smells soft and daytime appropriate. Its lovely and reminds me of afternoon tea. Its gentle but still powderful. I would say this one is the soapiest one of the 3. Also more benzoin and slightly reminds me of tiger balm. Minty Floral fresh is the best i can describe it. I still prefer Paris – Venise.
Edit Jan 2020- just purchased Paris Venise in the smaller bottle they released!! 80$ for 50ml I believe and I am very happy because I’ve been going through all my samples and just bit the bullet for the smaller size. Its the most feminine one out of the bunch and the best imo. I will repurchase Paris Venise
