First off, I got this at a discount store for $8, which is good ’cause I have to mix two shades (Porcelain and Shell). I bought before seeing reviews and it took me awhile to try it, due to the “love it or hate it” reviews. Glad that I noted that those in the “love” camp say to use a flat top buffing brush for application, which I did (the Tarte one with the hook/scoop).
I get good coverage that looks natural in DAYLIGHT, which is the acid test for me. I mix the shades in my palm, apply dots to an area, buff in with the brush. I do smooth out with a damp sponge. After applying cream blush and powder blush, I’ve been mixing a gel moisturizer with a liquid highlighter and pat it on with fingertips. Gives a nice glowy finish that goes well with this foundation. Oh, also note I have very sensitive skin and haven’t had a problem with it.

Pros:
+it provides moderate sun protection (SPF 20,PA+++)
+it doesn’t have perfume, silicones and is oil-free(it seems it doesn’t contain Alcohol too)
+it has some skincare benefits
+it feels hydrating and comfortable
+has a beautiful velvety dewy finish
+has buildable coverage from almost sheer to more than medium
+has a lightweight, runny texture which is easy to blend
+it’s almost skin-like and looks natural
+doesn’t look cakey,patchy or dry if I wash,exfoliate,moisturize and use a primer
+it almost sets itself and doesn’t have much transfer
+it wears well in time,looks a bit shiney on my t-zone but doesn’t crease,seprate,flake,look patchy,cakey or heavy
+it’s not too expensive(I bought it for 12 CAD on a sale!!)
Cons
– it can look awful and patchy if you don’t prep and prime and don’t shake it well
– it’s difficult to squeeze it’s tube and pour it out
-it doesn’t seem to have enough fair shades(maybe I’m wrong as I’m judging by online swatches, and there’s not many online swatches of all shades)
-it says on it’s box:formulated for all skin types and skin tones but I’m not sure people with oily skin would like it
– not a con for me but be aware that it contains coconut alkanes(one of top ingredients),Silica(one of top ingredients) in case you’re alergic to coconut or silica
Highly recommended to people with normal to dry and/or mature skin which would like sheer to medium coverage and dewy finish
Bareminerals products aren’t sold in my country so I asked a friend living in Canada to buy it for me.I wanted to try it because it was recommended to me by more than one people and I’m really determined to find my HG foundation.my friend bought it from a sale for 12 Canada dollars so it was a very great deal but I was shocked when I received it and saw the shade: Bare Satin 06 as I’m usually first or second shade of foundations,I asked my friend about the shade and she told me very few shades very discounted and this one was the lightest
Be aware that the color of the bottle doesn’t indicate color of the liquid inside.I wished my foundation had the same color of it’s bottle.the bottle is much lighter with a yellowish undertone.shade 06/Satin is a very wrong match for me,both in tone and undertone.I’d call it medium with truely cool undertone while I have truely fair skin with slightly golden-olive undertone.I wished at least I had shade 05 which seems to be still dark but with yellow undertone.
The reason that I’m so frustrated and can’t stop nagging about the bad colormatch that except the shade I love this foundation. It’s one of the rare foundations with very runny liquid that workes for me.when I first received it,I applied it with my finger to my bare skin and it looked aweful.cakey, powdery, patchy mess but then I tried it this way: washed and then exfoliated my face(with QV Scrub),dried it with towel, sprayed Mac Prep&Prime water on my face and applied an almost lightweight moisturizer which usually works well with different foundations (St.Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Moisturizer).waited a few minutes then applied a silicone Blurring primer all over my face(Maybelline Baby Skin) waited a few minutes, put four drops of foundation directly with the nozzle of the tube on right side of my face, spread it with my WetnWild flat top foundation brush, tapped a damp beauty blender dupe on my face, used another four drops for the left side, used concealer (Bourjois 123 Concealer) around my eyes, powdered some Golden Rose translucent setting powder under my eyes and on my nose, and used the powder in BareMinerals You’re Brilliant Duo (Chic Radiance All over Face Color) under my cheek bone instead of bronzer, contour and blush,,used Thebalm Marylou Manizer as highlighter on my cheeks, used Nyx Dewy setting spray and followed with my eye makeup
Unlike my first experience, this time my foundation looked almost amazing. It’s not full coverage but it’s enough to even out and cover the redness and mild pigmentations I have,I’d say the coverage is buildable from almost sheer to more than medium.the other time I used less(three drops) and blended it with slightly damp beautyblender(had sprayed rosewater on my BB) and used Maybelline MasterPrime(the green one) as primer and it looked even better so I discovered that for best results:
1.I have to wash and exfoliate before
2.use moisturizer and a silicone primer
3.make sure to shake the bottle
4.don’t use just fingers for blending
It’s one of the rare foundations that has truely dewy finish on my dry skin.I can see why it’s called oily in some reviews,it’s runny texture feels as if a watery foundation is mixed with a light weight oil but it doesn’t make my skin look oily and doesn’t feel heavy on face.it feels truely hydrating and comfortable.the dewyness it provides is a velvety dewy not a wet or greasy dewy.when I use it on newly exfoliated, moisturized and primed skin it doesn’t cling to dry parts of my skin and gives me a very close to skin-like and natural finish.it also doesn’t crease and has very minimal transfer(zero if you set it).I haven’t had it on my face for more than five hours yet but it’s one if the rare foundations that looks almost exactly like first minute after 5 hours, there’s just a sheen on my nose which doesn’t look that bad (eventhough I had powdered and used a setting spray)
the only thing that prevents me from calling it my HG is it’s shade.I can get along with a bit dark foundation but this one’s darkness hands in hand with it’s cool undertone makes it give a wired color to my skin,as if I’m ill and tired..I’m going to repurchase and order another shade but I don’t know which shade would be the best for me,probably shade 01 or 03? It seems to have wide color range but not enough fair shades
By the way, about it’s packaging,I can see that a lot of people hate it.I don’t like it either but I don’t hate it and don’t find it messy.just keep in mind that shake it with side to side movements not up and down

It feels so nice going on but it looks patchy and uneven after it settles in even when I used primer. Coverage is pretty light and didn’t cover up redness very well.
I’m have normal skin so I’m not sure who this would be good for. Maybe if you have flawless skin but then what would be the point?
Color match was decent for me. I have neutral tone fair skin and 011 linen was good but I won’t use it again since I get less than an hours wear before it starts breaking up.
This made some green-ish creases appear in my bottom where all these girls have given it my best speckle pink shade.
I feel I’ve tried this lotion, just used for repairing. It doesn’t amaze me that people are fussing about this and not using it after cleansing/use.
I didn’t use any lotion until after I applied it as many green-ish contour creases at once.
Good sunscreen care for my skin and which I was interested in my liking. I have never been fussy on a skin of my own since joining Pantene Lacquer 3 years ago.
The formula is moisturizing and does not irritate my skin that much.
I did some testing with this spray and I expected it to be completely unfastening but I think it does nicely.
The base was incredibly nice, but i didn’t love my foundation and I didn’t like it if it hadn’t worked for the rest of the day because i’m far from doing so.
I spent some time applying this patch around my areas with Minitest Tumble Cover Sleeping Mask and looked pretty good as well.
I would get the redness all over my face but honestly its not a concern because when you look deeper than a regular Puma Patch it yells from your finger area as you rub it on the skin.
It has a loose texture on my eyes and I’m gonna change that. I think it looks going to be a bit more opaque then I expected when it worked its supposed to be flammable so I will just wear one later on.
This is very well made and my eyes are looking through the hole easily.
I want my fingers to stick out like pipes on my washing machine.
First thing I did was soak my nails in this bottle from my rose.
The eyelashes stayed super moisturized after I added some shampoo but still felt dry.
I tried unspent one bottle for the hard locks and then wore another and this one felt like it was drying out my nails.
I applied it a little at a time and it is very long lasting.
The pictures below look like they came from my stevia in my lip.
