Omg, this started promising, but ended in a disappointment.
Pro: Application is like a dream, evens skin tone in a natural way, shade ‘light’ is perfect match for me.
Con: Staying power: few hours only, then it faded out and left me with dry/itchy patches on my face.
Overall: not worth the price, some tinted day creams perform better.

This review is for the BB detox spf25. This is a really good BB cream and I tested it for several months. Its on the matte side so its perfect for combo/oily skin. Doesn’t cake or crease and stays put most of the day. In the winter I recommend to moisturize well with a rich cream or lotion before applying to ensure a smooth application. Anyways, I use BB cream over moisturizer all year round as for me, its makeup and not skincare. The lightest color (00) is not that light so for a porcelain complexion, I think there is no options unfortunately. It conceals redness and pores on my fair skin and I don’t apply a lot to get a natural coverage. If I plan to stay outdoors I use sunscreen underneath because I don’t apply a uniform and generous coat so I think that I don’t get the spf25 protection. I think the price is right because a little goes a long way and the pump makes it very hygienic.

I didn’t have high hopes for this after reading reviews here and other places, but it’s actually great. The coverage for this bb cream is above average, I’d say medium coverage and is buildable. It’s a soft, thick consistency, like a proper foundation, so if you have very dry skin you have to moisturize before you put this one like you would before foundation otherwise it may flake in dry patches if you don’t have a good base on dry skin. The finish is skin matte I’d say, really nice. This has a foundation consistency but feels light on your skin and helps make it soft.
The BEST part is when I got this, I thought I’d try it out but I had a giant red spot on my chin from a breakout… this covered the giant spot completely in the first layer of me applying it, I mean completely covered it!!…my Dior foundation never even did that, I’d usually have to conceal after foundation to cover a spot, but with this I don’t even need concealer for my occasional spots. Love it.
This is going to be my daily “foundation” from now on. I suggest you give it a shot, get a sample maybe, its CAD $46 dollars after taxes, so almost as much as fenty and estee lauder, if you’re looking for a daily cream instead of heavy foundations.

this is for the new version of it. the BB DETOX SPF25.
what can i say.. best bb i ever tried.
enough but medium coverage, mat finish, longlasting,
i am fair- medium and i got the lightest shade 00 which is perfect for me, but this means, either shades are a little on the darker side, or they match more skin colors. for me this is perfect, anyway.
comes with a pump which is the best tube.
i love it.
it might not be suited for dry skin, maybe or need a good moisturiser under, because it is quite mat .very nice for my combo skin, though.

A note on the SPF: I measured out 1/2 tsp to see if it was possible to put that much on my face only and thus actually use it as a sunscreen. I gave up after piling on a bit less than half of that. At that point it looked pretty ok tho – a bit heavy but I mean, I went to work like that. But more realistically I think you’d use 1/16th to 1/8th of a teaspoon, so I figure it’s more of an SPF 2-5 in practice.

First off I’ve bought this online 50-65% off of what it’s sold for in stores in Sweden, and I’ll only keep repurchasing while I can find it heavily discounted.
00 fair seems truly neutral to me. Colors do run pretty dark, this is almost too dark on my pasty maybe NW10/13-ish skin now in winter/spring, though it’s sheer enough to get away with. (I use a cheap matching foundation on neck and chest.)
Pros:
– Easy to blend with fingers since it’s fairly sheer.
– Doesn’t flake me up/cling to dry patches much. Every tinted product on earth shows up flakes on me around the nose at least, but most are much worse than this.
– Finish when it’s dried is very nice, semi-matte. I’d say it neither covers nor highlights pores and lines.
– If I apply it more properly it has decent SPF 25 from titanium dioxide (4-5%).
– Scent is faint. Doesn’t feel irritating, no congested pores etc from it.
Cons:
– No playtime – dries very fast, so it feels kinda thick – but also sheer. Feels a bit wasteful. (On the other hand if you’re hoping to get a little bit of SPF out of it, it’s easier to use a lot without looking cakey, see above.)
– Obviously light coverage.
– Wouldn’t think of paying full store price.
– Not moisturizing, exactly. I’ve never found a face color product that really is, esp not one with good SPF, but maybe it exists. I’m just happy it doesn’t seem to dry me out.
– Really wish it had no scent at all.
– Definitely not inclusive shade range, to say the least.

As someone who previously gave up on BB Creams as a whole, I finally found my holy grail thanks to my sister..
I use the shade 03 Dark and this is a perfect (color) match for my NC 42-44 skin.. I have yellow/golden undertones and this is the only bb Cream I have tried that doesnt completely wash me out or has too much of a pinkish/brown undertone to it.. Also provides good coverage and the formula works great on my oily/combination skin.. Use primer underneath and touch up with some powder during the day.. Summerproof love it..

It gives you a good coverage, and I like the fragrance, but the lightest shade doesn’t match my skin color, I have fair skin with rosacea and the lightest shade looks as if I put a fake tan on my face ):
spiritedSyrup1
1)long lasting
2)covers like a foundation
3)blends nicely
4)Mineral based sunscreen
but the color shades are not that great I bought both medium and light and I have to confess the medium is too dark and red based, the number 1 or light is a good match for my NC25.30 color tone

I bought this because of the high spf but I found the shades in this bb cream to be very dark. I am quite fair skinned and am shade 103 Ivory in the rest of the Clarins range, but the shade light in this bb cream made me look like i had applied a tad too much fake tan! I’ve tried the shade 00 fair in this which only seems to be available online and it isn’t too bad a match on my skin. I also found the smell a bit too strong, really perfumy and not exactly pleasant, not the usual scent of Clarins products that I love. The consistency is medium thickness and blends fairly easily, and gives a decent coverage for a bb, and overall is not a bad product but I think there are a lot of better bb creams for the price of this. Not one of Clarins better products imo.

The coverage is nice and it made my skin look pretty but upon second day of using this I had a terrible reaction to it. I literally used it for one day and for 5 minutes the following day. My skin started itching a lot and I had a burning sensation right a couple of minutes after applying this the second day and those symptoms immediately subsided when I used my makeup remover to take it off.
Searching for an explanation, I read reviews of people that also had reactions to this problem and some of them said that Clarins used way too much perfume and preservatives in this formula.
