My favourite gentle spf/moisturizer in one. Fragrance free, hydrating and easy to use. I am in my 40s and have clear, dry skin. Highly recommended.

Cannot agree with awillo (user below) more! I too have sensitive, acne prone, red, combination skin. My forehead and chin use to get very oily throughout the day but I find that Avene Emulsion Light Texture has really really helped there. My cheeks get quite dry and red in winter and this is where the Eucerin truly helps. I actually alternate between the Eucerin and Avene depending on my cycle (some weeks my skin is oiler than other weeks etc). I love that the Eucerin is for sensitive , dry skin but is not oily at all. I am 33, of Asian ethnicity and live in a dry winter climate. My acne problems have decreased as I’ve gotten older but I still get the odd pimple here or there- from a deep cystic lump to the normal yellow/inflamed ones. So in conclusion, I will use the Avene for more oil prone areas on my skin and the Eucerin for the drier sections. Sometimes the eucerin can be a little (very little) bit too rich for my forehead but this again depends on my hormones for that day and lack of sleep also really tends to put my oil glands into overdrive. I am a fan of using two different face moisturizers because I cant find one that can truly be a cure for my entire face (hence combination skin!).
I recently came across Dr Gray and Dr Sam Bunting (both dermatologists). Their YouTube videos have completely changed how I see things!! Please follow them if you dont know about them already. They have very different personalities but are both excellent. Dr Gray goes into detail about ingredients but she’s fun and easy to watch, gets straight to the point with a very no – nonsense attitude. She also suggests something remarkable – to apply face moisturizer onto wet skin so as to lock in as much moisture as possible. What I tend to do now is spray Avene Thermal Spring Water on to my face first before applying my two moisturizers.
Dr Sam concentrates a lot on cosmetics which is great because we’re often not sure on what to wear (primer, foundation) when it comes to our type of skin.
One thing they definitely both agree on is how fragrance and perfume plays absolutely no role in skincare and we should stay away from brands that incorporate them into their products. I love that. Both Eucerin and Avene have many products that are fragrance free.

Love this moisturizer! It doesn’t clog me up like most creams do, while giving a lot of moisture to my dry skin. Would continue wearing it but Eucerin is pulling out from my country. I recommend it!

I like experimenting with moisturisers and decided to try this one during the spring when my skin is more on the normal side…but I got to say that I won’t be repurchasing it again. It is not a bad product by any means but it did not make me go ‘Wow, where have you been all this time?”. I can definitely say that my £7 Cetaphil performs just as good.
This Eucerin moisturiser definitely hydrated my skin and did not break me out, which I was afraid of because of the very heavy texture, which takes a while to sink in (although that’s not my problem). I just don’t like face products in jars for sanitary reasons and much more prefer other packaging. I also feel that this product is quite overpriced because it doesn’t have any magical or expensive ingredients. That’s why I would say invest your money elsewhere, because you can get the same quality for less.

I absolutely LOVE this moisturiser. Eucerin is such a great brand, although I tend to wait for it to be on offer before buying. Really recommend this. Only grumble is that I wish they’d bring back the tube packaging – it’s a bit unhygienic dipping your fingers constantly into the pot.

This saved my skin after ruining it by using far more expensive creams that supposedly should soothe irritated skin (see my review on Clinique moisture surge extra thirst relief and Avenee Skin Recovery Cream Rich). When I bought this much cheaper moisturizer, my skin was bright pink, with burning patches and itchy.
I did not notice a difference immediately, but after a week, my skin was less irritated, and turned into a less bright shade of pink. There was hope!
Now, four weeks later, my skin has totally recovered, gone back to a normal shade of skin tone, no itching, no burning – and well moisturized. I used to have combination skin with a very oily T-zone, but lately, my skin has become dry and Swedish Winter’s aren’t helping. But Eurcerin AQUAporin does! It sinks in quite quickly, works well with my foundation (Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation) – and is fragrance and alcohol free!
Only two downsides: The size of the tube – way too small! And second, I am not a big fan of the micellar effect and the thin film that it leaves on your skin, but since it is only noticable when I wash my face and does not interfere with my makeup, I’ll let it slide. For now.
I do recommend this cream if you have dry, sensitive skin. It’s a good bargain!

I have an oily T-zone and I’ve been suffering from some dry patches these days because of the colder weather where I live, so my regular moisturizer just didn’t cut it anymore. I tried the Avene optimale light hydrating cream and it just wasn’t hydrating at all! So I asked my pharmacist if I should buy the light or rich formula of the Eucerin Aquaporin and she said that the light version is very similar to that Avene moisturizer and it won’t be very moisturizing. So I picked up the rich version and I love it. Oily skin types definitely won’t like it because it will be too rich, because even for me it eventually gets oily (but just a little bit) after about 6-7 hours of wearing around my nose and forehead. So if you have dry combination and dehydrated skin, you’ll love this because it’s hydrating while it still manages to be very light and it sinks into the skin quickly which I love aswell, because it doesn’t feel heavy at all! And it has a great ingredients list.

Apologies – this is for the Light version without SPF. My skin seems to really like this cream but I find the somewhat matte finish too much as my skin looks a tad flat even after foundation. Others will love the matte finish though. The flat tube is great as it means you can carry it round with you easily. It definitely hydrates well and is absorbed easily, but I probably won’t repurchase. If I did, I would try it in the Rich. UPDATE: this is perfect for using under my Skin79 BB cream and powder, which otherwise has a tendency to look a little shiny after a few hours. I’ve decided not to bother trying the Rich version after taking on board reviewers’ comments.

I’ve never written a review for anything ever – but I felt I had to in this case. I have very sensitive, acne prone, red, combination skin. My t-zone gets very oily indeed throughout the day, but my cheeks tend to be very dehydrated, flaky with crepey lines under my eyes (I’m 33). This is the only cream i’ve ever found (and I’ve tried hundreds!) which has 1. not broken me out, 2. not made me like an oil slick by lunchtime, 3. perfectly moisturised and smoothed out all the crepey lines, 4. made my skin so comfortable, 5. make up goes on perfectly! It’s the rich version – not the SPF as SPFs always upset my skin. Highly recommend if you have similar skin. It’s fairly expensive, but far better than much more expensive creams i’ve tried in the past. A little goes a really long way too. I use it in the morning and at night. Best cream ever! Wanted to review it because I’ve trawled the internet so many times when i’ve been depressed about my skin looking for something to help and so I know there must be others like me out there too!

My first package was perfect. I have really acne-prone skin, sometimes too dry and sometimes too oily, and it’s difficult to find perfect moisturizer. I have never had a day without breakout in my face, every week, I always get some new pimples.
This moisturizer worked well on my face, and some days, my face was clear, no more breakout. One day, my tube was almost empty. I was so busy and I postponed to buy new tube. Aaaaaaand, at the third day, I woke up with lots of whiteheads on my cheeks, a lot!!!. And many of those turn to cysts . :((
It’s really terrible, I don’t know should I purchase again or no. :-/
