This oil is one of the best facial oils out there.
It is substantial, yet leaves a very flattering velvety finish on the face.
It is hydrating and nourishing with lasting effect.
It is way overpriced and the fragrance should be even less, although it is not overpowering nor unpleasant.
This oil blend is mainly composed of triglycerides (Caprylic/Capric – originating from coconut, Rapeseed, Sunflower, Avocado, Olive, Argan, Camellia Oleifera, black seed oil), hydrocarbones (Hydrogenated Polyisobuten and Polybutene) and a 100% vegetable derived liquid diester of an alpha hydroxy acid (Diisostearyl Malate). It contains some water soluble actives (Rhamnose, Trehalose, Tamarindus Indica Seed Polysaccharide, Myrothamnus Flabellifolia Leaf Extract) that are blended in to a final homogeneous and transparent oil by the help of some emulsifier (PEG-40 Sorbitan Peroleate). The oil has three strong anti-inflammatory actives (Bisabolol, Camellia Oleifera, black seed oil) along with olive and sunflower oil. This will help counteract age-related inflammation (or any other dermal inflammation for that matter).
One should be aware that the oils in this blend are refined hence the lack of colour of the final product. (The more refined natural oils are, the less of the nourishment along with vitamins and micro elements are left. The colour of the oil will also be more transparent, while unrefined natural oils tend to have more yellowish – sometime reddish – colour.)
This is probably the nicest facial oils I have tried that are commercially available.
I like the finish and the lasting nourishing feel (without being heavy!) it leaves on the skin. However, the cost of this fairly easy blend is just not worth it when one can easily obtain most of the components and make some experimental blends on their own. Blending oils do not require any equipment nor preservatives; raw-materials are easily obtained too. (The water soluble actives in this blend have no additional benefit and could be omitted without having any effect either on the results or on the consistency of the oil blend.)
