I live in Asia that the hype about paul and joe (esp this product and the loose powder) has been going on for a few years at least. Personally this product didn’t seem to do much to me as a primer and was not the easy to apply evenly. The scent is okay and bottle is beautiful.

Beautiful packaging. This primer gives your skin a glow, but is not meant for oily skin. It definitely brightens up your skin and has a yellow undertone that helps to counteract redness. The shimmer is not noticeable on your skin, but I don’t use it for everyday use because it tends to make foundation look a bit heavier than normal.

This primer contains very, very fine shimmer that is more visible when applied on the palm (a flat surface) but is almost invisible on the face. When applied on the face, it gives my complexion a very subtle glow which I love. It does what a primer should do– fill up pores so that foundation can be applied on smoothly.
A con (and reason why I’m not giving it 5 lippies) is that it dries quite quickly and is thus a bit difficult to apply on the skin.

This product goes on thick and was hard to smooth on my face. It was like I had to work fast with it. Gave a thick “cake” like coverage. This was only less than one pump too. My foundation did not go on well with it either. I use Kevyn Aucoin. I looked like leather face in the end and the more I tried to blend and work it, the worse it got. To make matters worse I broke out in tiny white bumps all over my face and then some turned cystic. I used it twice.
Wont ever use again.

This review is for the Moisturising Primer SPF12 which comes in a glass bottle, pink cap and no pump. I see that the below reviews mention there is a pump but I’ve purchased this twice in 2011 and 2012 and didn’t have a pump. Unfortunately the brand has been pulled out of SG so I can’t check out if there is a pump version.
Was hesitant to purchase this at first as I have oily t-zone and tend to avoid anything that says Moisturising. However, the BA convinced me and I have repurchased since. Great product! Took one lippie off as the large opening makes it easy to pour out too much although the texture isn’t very liquid so it pours slowly.
This primer easy to spread and blend and I use this in No.2 Miel. Most importantly for me, it blurs some imperfections, such as my covering up the redness and broken capillaries that I have especially around my nose and my enlarged pores also around the same area. It has a little bit of coverage which I really like, as I sometimes just wear this and pat on some loose powder over.
However, I do find that despite this wearing this beneath a powder foundation, I do still wipe off some of the foundation when I put a tissue to my face by mid-day. This is a problem I have despite trying many primers so I guess it could just be my oily t-zone.
Would repurchase if I see it and if it remains affordable.

This primer was voted in the top 3 in a Japanese cosmetic review site 3 years in a row, so I had to check it out. I’m a fairer-skinned Asian, so I went with 01 dragee. The color is a very light beige, and when I applied it to my face, it brightened (whitened) my face by 1 shade. This alone did not cover my imperfection at all. However, when I used this product with Boscia BB Cream, my skin never looked smoother and pores were less visible. And it looked natural.
I’m glad I got this primer because now I can finish the BB cream I had stopped using because the shade was too dark for my skin color. This primer balanced out the darkness and somehow prevented darkening of the BB Cream over the course of the day. If you’re fair-mid skin tone, you might consider pairing this primer with a foundation that is 1 shade darker than your skin color if you want to look more natural and not too pale.

I used this product ages ago and stopped because i couldn’t afford to keep buying it as i went thr it pretty quickly.i bought it in 2 drage and think this colour is better for summer as its more a peacy tone, for the winter i think 1 or 3 would be better but its nothing special..i may repurchase it in the summer

It comes in a lovely glass bottle which I can pump out the primer. The primer is a light beige color with very slight shimmer. It has a light pleasant scent. When apply on face, it gives a glowy effect. Unfortunately this primer does not work for me. I have combination skin with big pores, this primer emphasizes my pores and my dry skin. My face looks very ugly with this primer.

The Moisturizing Foundation Primer in 02 is my Holy Grail primer. I’ve been using this for about 4-5 years and have taken mini breaks but always come back to it.
This bottle of loveliness hydrates, evens out my pigmantation, luminizes and keeps my foundation in place on my finicky, over sensitive ,break-out prone skin. I ask you, what more can you ask for in a product?
I’ve seen the newly formulated version of this primer in a tube so I have two back ups that should last me for a few years because it never seems to run out.
I know I’m gushing but products like this is like a beauty unicorn and must be loved and appreciated.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE NEW MOISTURIZING FOUNDATION PRIMER
Product package is gorgeous
fragrance is lovely- kinda like orange flower but very subtle.
I bought Miel 02 spf 15 pa+ which is orange based. Since I have yellow based skin I thought this a near match at firstbut still wearable since you’ll be wearing under fndt.
I liked the product a little at first but its growing on me, blending was difficult and not as moisturizing as ud think but still very smooth. excentuates dry patches such as around nose/mouth.
I think it does make your fdtn last a little longer such as my mac mineralize liquid f and thats meant to last like 4 hrs and as I like the dewy look I bought the P&J moisturizing primer which as a bonus has tiny luminizers. sometimes I wear that alone as it does also cover a little of redness and generally gives a little coverage but obviously not like a fndt. truth be told I only bought it becuase I fell in love with the botlle lol. ooh best applied with fingers but very hard to blend so unlikely use of brush
UPDATE: this works better now, since I got the P&JOE fndtn some =how the difficult blendings disappeared! MAybe b/c I changed my moisturizer to BOOts Botanics night cream
