My pores and oiliness are most significant on my nose, so this is where I specifically decided to test Andalou’s ‘Pore Minimizer’ out. It came in a trial pack so this was the 1oz size bottle I got. Having used up 70% of the bottle I’ve pretty much come to the conclusion that this isn’t working for me. Yes it’s astringent (witch hazel), it’s also plenty natural (lots of botanicals) and it isn’t stripping as there’s a ton of hydrating ingredients in here too such as Aloe Vera, Glycerine and Panthenol. It’s the ‘perfect storm’ and yet somehow it doesn’t all come together and deliver either. I’ve used for over 2 weeks and not seen an iota of difference to pore size or oiliness on the small area I’ve been using it AM and PM. I’m going to continue using the 30% or so still left in the bottle and will update if anything changes but not holding my breath…
P.s the reason why I’ve given it any lippies at all is because I love the ingredients and as a regular toner (I’ve tried it out once for this purpose) it actually removes a lot of gunk, including my sunscreen from my skin, without leaving it tight or dry. It’s the kind of toner I would happily use on a regular basis, knowing my skin is being cared for and not damaged – if only it had a secondary function such as brightening, rather than just simply toning. I don’t really care for the peppermint smell (more Camphor to my nose) but at least it’s essential oil derived and not synthetic which is a big plus.

I absolutely love the smell(sweet mint) and the packaging. Makes me feel refreshed for awhile but after that irritates&breaks out my skin. Haven’t noticed any pore minimising effects.

I really like this toner. The packaging makes it easy to use, it has a nice fresh scent, and it feels nice and tingly, but not too minty tingly, on my skin. It feels very refreshing. I got a small bottle in a sample pack and have been using it for about a week. I don’t know that it’s actually doing much for my skin in terms of texture/ pores though, so that’s why I gave it only 4 lipsticks even though it is very nice! I recommend it.

Love this for breakouts and bumpy skin. I was having the worst issue with my skin looking bumpy and I was getting these deep pimples that were small but were making my skin look horrible. This cleared up everything very quickly including some small blackheads I thought were there a lost cause and it removed a lot of the redness from my skin as well. This tingles quite a bit on application (does not burn) but it goes away quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. This is a touch drying but not too bad for a clarifying product. I use this after washing my face and using micellar water at night but before my serum and moisturizer. I don’t like the size of the opening on the bottle I find way too much product comes out and it’s difficult to control. Will definitely repurchase.

This is such a wonderful toner.
I use the Kombucha Gel cleanser and follow with this toner and then Beta Recovery Cream at night. During the day I use some Rosehip seed oil and eye cream from Cocoon Apothecary.
I was searching for an acid toner WITHOUT alcohol, that would help with discoloration/hyper pigmentation for skin cell turnover.
Non-drying and gentle (as it is winter, I am super thankful for this).
Some really nice ingredients in here.
IT WAS PRICEY – $14.95 for under 200ml.
I will put this is a spray bottle to get more bang for my buck – cotton pad absorbs too much and I like “light” coverage of my whole face.
This toner has replaced my Thayers Witch Hazel (as Thayers has alcohol).
The peppermint scent is light and fades quickly – a good thing because this is my least fav aspect of the toner.
Hope to use forever.
Keeper.
UPDATE – May 04 2015
I did not finish the bottle.
Am using a homemade toner of cold pressed organic hibiscus tea with 10 drops of organic tea tree oil and 10 drops of organic lavender oil. I put it in a spray bottle. Lovely, cheap, safe and effective.

I just bought this from a local Whole Foods Market. I really like how it felt when I tested it on my skin, very cooling and calming. Fingers crossed it helps my acne!

This is the first product I have tried from Andalou that made me a convert! I was looking for a good toner from a local organic shop and was interested in the name 😛
I browse the ingredients and the first I read was ALOE VERA JUICE 😀 that is the first time I saw alovera was the first ingredients and not water. It was interesting brand positioning for them. Simply the ingredients list is breathtaking 😀
You would imagine this would cost $100 per 100ml minimum but this is only $12 for 178 ml.
The toner is very gentle on the skin, has the minty smell, does not sting. Though this has alcohol on the bottom list as a preservative. This do not sting at all. I use this even if with Retin-A, no sting. I use this after a chemical peel, no sting.
Simply great toner to bring nourishing ingredients to the skin. Now for the anti-acne effect, I do not know 😀 I still have acne even when using this toner for 5 months. However, the anti-iflamatory ingredients is top notch, so I don’t experience inflamatorry acne. My acne is more cause of imbalance hormones.
I use this quite liberally since this is so cheap. I saturate the cotton pad and wipe across my face. I also use this as my after-shave 🙂 Multi-purpose 🙂 as it effective calming redness.

This is a light, refreshing toner with an aloe vera and witch hazel base. Contains a blend of antioxidantsand tea extracts, the vitamins B5, C & E, plus skin soothing epilobium extact and willow bark and salicylic acid to help control blemishes. I really like this after my nightly cleanser to refresh and remove any residue from my skin. It is very light and not sticky. I cannot say that this is an effective acne control agent, but it does seem to soothe and condition my combination skin and I did not have an increase in acne while using this.

After using up my Dr. Hauschka Clarifying toner, I decided to venture off and try this. The shampoo and conditioner from this brand was such a big hit for me, I figured it couldn’t hurt to test this out.
To be honest, I wasn’t too happy with the packaging at first since I was used to the spray bottle types after using Dr. Hauschka. It wasn’t until I used this toner that I realized how much gunk was still left on my face after using it with a cotton round. Really makes me think back how effective the toner was when I just sprayed it on before. All that gunk was still left on my face..
This toner leaves a nice clean feeling on my face but it isn’t tight or drying for my combination skin. I love how this effectively removes the last traces of any makeup or cleanser off my face. It really preps my skin for moisturizer afterwards. There’s a hefty amount of product for only $15. I love that it’s natural and doesn’t contain a lot of harsh ingredients.
