I’ve probably mentioned in past that I’m not really into bronzing, either to fake a tan or to contour (contouring anything more than my under-chin area looks like dirt smudges on my face). However, I was drawn to this LE compact upon seeing it in store because it’s subtle and lacking in the orange tones that look very unnatural on me. There are 2 colour options in this compact and I have the lighter one – Sunset Glow. It consists of a large pan of a nice and cool-ish bronzer, a yellow/gold “highlighter” and a peachy “blush”. I understand you can use each of these 3 areas separately (and I’ve used the “blush” on its own when I don’t want to look like I’m wearing makeup but also don’t want to look sickly pale) but I’ve been using all 3 swirled together with a big, fluffy, soft powder brush to dust all around my face just to add a bit of a healthy glow now that summer is here. It is perfect for this because the bronzer is so subtle and cool-toned, so it looks natural. The compact is nice – a bit larger than a DVD and fairly slim and fitted with a large mirror in the lid. I got this about a month ago and have been using it pretty regularly. Because I purchased it on a Thursday at Shoppers Drug Mart, I was able to get it for 20% off the regular price of $42 Canadian. All in all, a very nice product that is “repurchase-worthy” though by the time I finish it, it will no longer be available.
