   This brand of haircolor is sold at Dollar Tree. I have used all the shades over the years (Auburn, Light Brown, Medium Brown, Dark Brown), except for “Black”, and they all turned out great! I currently use the shade “10 Lightest Blonde” to touch up my dark ash blonde/light ash brown roots. This stuff actually lifts faster/better than the Garnier Nutrisse blonde shade that I was using previously, which is 5 times the cost! I would say this is a neutral to cool blonde, because it develops with a violet tone, although my hair always pulls golden no matter what brand/shade of dye I use (which I am fine with). I only leave this on 25 min, because I don’t like my hair too light, but I notice it starts lifting right away. I could go lighter and less golden, if I left it on the full 45 min. Most drugstore dyes are 4 fl. oz. when mixed, and this is only 2.8 fl. ounces, but the amount is actually perfect for root touch-ups, and I have very thick/naturally curly hair. Besides, 2 boxes gives you 5.6 fl. oz, and will still only set you back $2! The smell is very mild as well…whereas some dyes have so much ammonia, they leave your eyes watering, and leave you gasping for fresh air! I have found all the shades (even Auburn) rinse out really easily too, which is a blessing, because again, I have super thick hair and sometimes rinsing the color out till the water runs clear takes forever. No conditioner with this, but for $1, I don’t mind at all. Super surprised at how well this works! Being a mama of 3, and very frugal, this will definitely be my go to from now on! UPDATE: I decided to go back to something closer to my natural hair color (light brown/dark blonde), so I grabbed two boxes of “Medium Brown”, applied to the top 3-4 inches of my hair first, then ran it down towards the ends, and I ended up with the most natural looking light brown hair with blonde highlights! So close to what my hair would do naturally! Can’t believe how natural this cheap color looks! These browns don’t grab super dark like other drugstore dyes, which is why I opted for a medium brown, especially since I was coloring over a light blonde (colors tend to turn out lighter). Turned out Perfect!

   I bought shade 10 Lightest Blonde to cover my roots. I have bleached hair and dirty dishwater blonde roots do not look good.
   I noticed the box did not contain a separate conditioner as most all other at-home dyes do, which is ok because I have one in my shower already.
   I have a sensitive scalp and hair color gives me a burning sensation while I am letting it process. This did not do that! I left the dye on for about 35 minutes and went to rinse.
   It turns out I did not need a follow-up conditioner. I could run my fingers through my wet hair with no problem. Even combing after was not an issue!
   Another thing I did not get was an after-color headache. I am writing this after I styled my new hair and could not be happier!

   Guys….I got this at the Dollar Tree!! That’s right, I colored my hair for a buck!

   The packaging and directions are basic. You get the tube of color, the developer and some very flimsy gloves. Its your typical thing, put the contents of the tube into the bottle of developer, shake well and apply. If you have long hair, you will need more than one box.

   The smell is pretty ammonia heavy in the beginning. The directions advised to leave it on for 30 to 45 minutes. My hair can come up pretty quickly, so I rinsed it out at the 25 minute mark. The color is nice and shiny. There was no burning of my scalp while I was waiting.

   If your hair is really dark, I don’t think this color would turn you platinum, but it was good for my grays and mousy roots.

   And it was only $1 !!
