I have super dry & patchy skin therefore this product is perfect for someone like me. At first I was put off by the shiny pearlescent hue it left on my face but as soon as I started bouncing my beauty blender in combination with Loreal 24h fresh foundation, girrrrl my makeup has never been as flawless. Everything was on fleek that day. I guess they must’ve done a repackaging since this item was first uploaded to MUA cuz my package was in a tube. I wish my target sold the larger size cuz I’m in love with this primer. I plan to buy a couple tubes online. If ur dry, trust, this primer is the shit!

There are a lot of bad reviews of this but I notice most are by people with oily skin. If you have dry skin you might like this as it is fairly moisturizing. In fact I would describe it as a shimmery moisturizer rather than a primer. It doesn’t help my makeup last longer. I guess it provides some slight smoothing of lines but that’s about it. I don’t hate it but I wouldn’t repurchase. It’s just not that special.

This stuff is greasy!!! I made the mistake of wearing it under a matte foundation and I swear I don’t think I’ve blotted my face so much in my life. Lotion like texture and shimmery but it makes my face look and feel super oily the entire time. I couldn’t wait to wash my makeup off. So glad I only had a sample tube. Tossed in the trash.

Really sad. Should have sticked to my guts. Anyway, just to give everyone a brief background, all illuminating primers and make up base oxidizes badly on my skin especially Laura Mercier’s Radiance primer which makes me look two shades darker. However, the only primer that worked is Becca’s Backlight Priming Filter. But I never use illuminating bases as primers primarily, I always always mix them in my foundation. I love to keep everything dewy. I should have bought the full size of the Becca one instead of this.
Hope to get better results in the coming weeks. I tried using this as a primer-primer not as a mix to my foundation, kinda noticed that I have a healthy glow really. But will I repurchase? For the price, no. I’m like hundred pesos away and I can have a full size backlight filter. Here’s to hoping this item changes my mind. I love Pixi, but really underwhelmed with this product considering it’s super pricey.

Very greasy and oily texture. Moisturizing so it may be good for super dry skin. Does not serve its’ purpose as a “primer” though. Leaves skin feeling slick. Doesn’t have that dryer, silicone texture that Smashbox or most other primers have. This would be a good highlighter though. A slick, oil shine and lots of shimmer throughout.

This primer is the best if you have normal to dry skin types. My skin is on the drier side but not 100% there’s just no sheen to my face at all and I like a more dewy glow. I have used many different primers but they all dry to a more matte finish and make my problem with dullness worse. I read about Pixi’s Flawless Beauty Primer on the budget beauty blog and decided to buy the small sample size at Target (it was just under $10 I think). It has a beautiful pink bronze color to it and it warms up my cooler skintone without being orange or anything like that. There’s some shimmer in it which is why I wouldn’t wear this alone even though the packaging says you can. Under foundation, this breathes new life into my skin and makes it look dewy and radiant! This is my HG foundation primer and I can’t believe it has such a low rating on here. After reading some of the reviews though, I can see that alot of the people who didn’t like it have oily skin and that’s no surprise. IF you have drier skin, you will love what this does for you!!!

I understand this product isn’t for everyone, especially for people with oily skin. As I have normal to dry, this primer actually appeals to me. It gives me a healthy glow which doesn’t make me look greasy. It works just as well on its own or under my daily tinted moisturiser. Would repurchase any time it finishes.

The absolute worst primer I have ever had the misfortune of using. I can not stand this primer! First of all, it’s very thick and hard to spread out across your face. It is reminiscent of sunblock, but thicker in texture – it even SMELLS like sunblock! It is tinted in color – about a light and shimmery tan. It did not blend in well at all. This primer has a bunch of shimmer – and boy, is it noticeable! I could see this as being a good highlighter for a person with an olive or darker skin complexion, but as a paler person in the winter months, this tinted my skin too much. I applied my foundation and this did not mix well with my foundation. It was clear that my face was full shade or two darker than my neck. The worst part? This primer made me look GREASY and OILY all day long. I wasn’t actually oily, but due to the intense shimmer of the product, I had a very noticeable sheen to my face. Overall, this product is absolutely terrible and I would NOT repurchase or even recommend to a friend. Ever.

This primer is fantastic – it makes my foundation stay on longer and looking more naturally flawless. It really makes your skin glow!

This doesn’t work as a primer, however it’s a good highlighter! I add it to the tops of my cheeks and the center of my chin. It doesn’t really help for anything else.
