This stuff, while not my H.G, as been my longest “higher-end” foundaiton repurchase. I’m probably on my 4th or 5th bottle, and I’ve been using it since before the packaging went all gold and sleek.
First of all this is a silicone based foundaiton, which can work amazingly or not so amazingly depending on your skin. As silicone and I get on swimmingly, I love this foundation. Silicone base also makes it water resistant (try pop it on your hand, see how the water beads) and makes my skin look so BLOODY smooth. I have scars, pores and texture and this really makes my skin look flawless.
I love how buildable this foundation is. I can pop on a small amount thinly to even skin-tone or I can really build it up to cake face. It lasts a whole day on me, but can shiny around the 8+ hour mark. I’m fine with this as despite the oil, the foundation is still on and not patchy. This means I can just dab/powder the top and it looks great again.
The shade range, kinda sucks. I’m Nars Deauville/Santa Fe depending on season. Basically I’m a light/med with neutral undertones that tans. The ‘neutral’ tones in this range are 0, or Hue 5 which is super dark. I’ve dabbled in Light 3, which is YELLOW. I’ve finally settled on the shade ‘Bare’ which is listed as cool…however I am not cool toned, and I add a warming deepener (mines from Mecca) to achieve the right colour.
This is easy to blend, buildable, natural looking (when you want, add powder then add more foundation on top for a flawless makeup look) and long-lasting. Keep in mind it’s silicone, so don’t try and use water based products around it – it won’t go well. The packaging sucks but until I find something as good, Stila has me by the balls. I don’t bother with the concealer.
For me with oily and dry skin with pores (lucky me) this is better than: Nars Sheer Glow, Nars All Day Weightless, Mac Studio Fix Fluid, Chanel Vitalumiere, Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer, Ellis Faas Foundation, Bourjois Healthy Mix, Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint…to name a few.

I really want to like this. The color was good. The coverage was decent. The concealer went on very nicely. It set beautifully and looked very natural. It was very comfortable going on and forgiving regardless of method of application. If I were to grade on “initial quality,” this is a winner. My comments apply to both products.
Unfortunately this does not stay all day on me. I only got a couple of good hours in the morning. By lunch, forget it. I used several combinations of primers, powders, and setting sprays. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be. My aging sensitive skin in not what I would call oily. I have some oil in tzone by midday but no big deal – I don’t usually worry about it. This foundation and concealer pulled mascara down under my eyes. I looked like a raccoon at the end of each day even though I don’t wear anything on my lower lid or lashes. My Nars Tinted Moisturizer lasts longer than this.
Of the two products, the concealer was the worse offender. It creases and I would not recommend for under eyes as it accentuated every tiny line.
I hate the packaging. I like the idea of the pump. It is very difficult to control the amount dispensed.
Someone with much drier skin or who lives in a less humid climate may have better luck.

Everyone is different depending of skin type. This is the HG for sensitive dry skin which I have. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this foundation if you have oily or oily combination acne prone skin. I’ve been looking for a new foundation for months now until I went to Sephora and the girl recommended it. I have old acne (cystic) ice pick scars and discoloration (yay for me) I need full coverage matte foundation. I tried everything ELDW, Fenty, Born this Way, EL maximum cover, smashbox Hydrating foundation, Nars all day foundation, they all made my skin flaky and crepy looking and totally would dry out my face in certain areas at the end of a work day. I messed up my skin barrier by exfoliating too much with glycolic acid, I wish I hadn’t done that ugh. I had oily skin ever since I was a teenager now my skin is so sensitive and dry it’s a nightmare and so annoying. I go get samples of foundation before I buy them so it’s always good to try out before. However I’m 38 and was expecting the dryness to start at some point? I set this with powder and my skin still doesn’t get dry at the end of the day. Also I have deep tan cool undertone and Almond is a good enough match, I wish they had a better color range for us women of color.

This review is just for the foundation, not the concealer. I found it at Marshall’s and it’s in slightly different packaging that doesn’t include the concealer. I’m pretty sure it’s now being sold at Sephora with the concealer again, so I hope the formula is the same but I’m not sure if it is.
Anyway, it was $7.99 and I couldn’t pass it up. I figured even if I didn’t like it I could pass it on to someone else. I’m glad I got it because it has quickly turned into one of my favorite foundations. It wears beautifully on me and doesn’t turn into an oily mess after a couple hours like so many other foundations do and it doesn’t transfer. Coverage is not full but it can be built up without looking caked.
The dispenser is a little different, you push down and product comes out of the top. I’m not sure it’s the most sanitary thing but I just wipe with alcohol after using. Sort of an inconvenience because I prefer pump bottles but not a big deal.

I found this at a discount store and thought I’d give it a shot. Today was the test. Used Dr. Brandt pores no more primer. Put it on 9 hours ago, and went through the entire day with 90 degree temps, a bit of gardening etc. And it looks really good still, although maybe a touch of powder is in order.
What I love is the finish; very natural, but does an amazing job on my tone and a pretty big chin blemish. It really makes my skin glow (not the sparkly twilight lumescent glow – more like a demi matte dewy – not flat like other all day foundations I’ve tried. No oxidation that i could see. I’m a huge fan and will be looking at this product when i run out.

Such a perfect foundation for my oily sensitive skin! I also use a Stila primer and that totally stops the foundation from getting oily. It builds well and last all day and doesn’t look like a mask.
The packaging is great, I like the fact its easy to push out and wipe off with my blender with no mess at all! And to be honest, you get what you pay for and Im happy to buy a good quality product with decent ingredients!
Love love love!

I really wanted to love this product. The packaging is so unique and love that it comes with the concealer. Unfortunately it did not work on my skin, I have combination skin and by the end of the day my face would look so blotchy and the product basically came right off. Also this product felt very heavy and value on my face.

I used this makeup and it dried around my mouth after a few hours. I normally use napoleon genius foundation and find it better for aging skin

I really enjoy this foundation. It blends well in to my skin which has hormonal acne and some rub off my nose and chin. It lasts really well, isn’t too thick and I liked the colour.
