Love the idea of stick products but this was just too thick and left my skin way too oily to be a decent primer. My skin felt very dirty the entire day when I used this. Would not repurchase. May work well for someone with drier skin.

I’m on the fence about this as a primer. I got the 100pt sample from Sephora because I had been using the Maybelline blur stick but wanted a cruelty-free option so thought I’d try the Milk one.
The Milk Blur Stick is definitely dry feeling. I only use it on my oily parts (t zone) and it does a decent job of mattifying my oils and preventing them from breaking through my foundation during the day. But I also feel like it doesn’t adhere foundation to my face very well, so I end up losing all the foundation on my nose if I touch it which is bothersome. I like this product a lot for no-makeup days especially in warmer weather since it helps with my oils.
I only have the sample size, but I imagine the full size packaging is nice. I like these little sticks from Milk, they’re cute and convenient. A bit pricey though. The minis are egregiously expensive in comparison with the full size products, so keep an eye out for that! If you’re wanting to try it out, I’d definitely try and get your hands on a sample rather than shelling out the funds for a mini. The mini is $3.15/gram and the full size is $1.54/gram.

I often use no foundation and only a blurring primer on my face. I was really excited to see this in a stick form, however, it just didn’t seem to mattify my skin very much and I had to work on rubbing it in evenly. I liked the cooling water stick from milk a lot more.

Honestly does nothing..foundation does not look more smooth, my pores do not appear any more filled in, my skin is not matte for a longer period of time and lastly, my makeup does not wear longer.

For the longest time I thought this did nothing for my skin. Regardless, I still wore it daily because I bought the full size and I wanted to use it up. After all packaging is super cute and it smells like candy.
Fast forward one day where I forgot to put this on and my entire makeup wore so terribly on me the whole day. My foundation which holds up to oil really well was being eaten away by my oils and creasing into every line I had. My whole face was cakey.
I didn’t realize this was actually making a difference to my makeup. When I wear it my foundation stays put all day and even my concealer doesn’t crease under my eyes. I feel like it doesn’t mattify a ton it just mostly makes my makeup stick onto my skin really well. I’m really happy with this as my primer. It’s a staple for me now.

I am thinking this is a perfect winter primer for me. For the record, I am 40 and have combination skin, but the oily parts get VERY oily. I usually use the MakeUp Forever Mattifying Primer, but this tends to suck up any bit of “glow” I might want to have and also can make the rest of my makeup look cakey by the end of the day. The best way to apply this is to rub it on to your finger, and press it into your trouble areas. This doesn’t mattify for long, but what it DOES do, is keep your pores smoothed over and clear so that my makeup wears beautifully during the day. I don’t wear foundation though, I just spot conceal. This allows my skin to glow but in a good way. At the end of the day, after 16 hours of wear, my skin looks healthy but not greasy. I got the small size of this to try, but I think I’m going to purchase the full size to keep in my arsenal. I also really like the swivel up stick, because it seems like it would be good to travel with (one less thing to leak!).

Update: Used up my deluxe sample and will absolutley be buying the full size. It just evens out my texture so beautifully under my current HG: It Cosmetics cc cream. Certainly does not mattify me for long- my cheeks can get really oily during the day, but it just blurs everything out so nicely!
I received a deluxe sized sample of this.
I think I like it, I’m not 100% sure yet. I applied this to my cheeks and forehead, two areas where I have texture because of old acne scarring, and rubbed it in. Felt very silky soft going on.
I wore my Armani Face Fabric over it and my makeup looked great. Went into direct sunlight and took a look as well. My cheeks looked very smooth. I was impressed.
I like this stick aspect to it. Very easy to swipe on and be done.

Quite awful in terms of everything you look for in a primer. Especially horrible for use on dry skin. I applied this on my forehead which tends to become oily throughout the day but it added texture I didn’t have; didn’t make my foundation apply any smoother; didn’t add any longevity… Overall it’s a 0.

This did not work on my mature skin. It might work for younger skins (which I think Milk as a brand targets). I was looking for a non silicone primer so I gave it a go…initially it looked good as I applied it. Foundation did not wear better with it underneath. It made my skin oily yet dried it out if that makes sense. Try the trial size or the e.l.f. dupe for $8.00 before you invest in the full size!

Well, so far I actually really like this. I’ve been working on making my skin nice enough to go without makeup, but with my overly shiny t zone and imperfections I always want just a little something. I usually use light weight, colorless powders, but they often look a little ghost-y on my light-med olive skin tone. This truly has no discernible color on me. It does what it says, but I don’t notice it until about 10 min after application. I don’t use it all the time, so I expect it to last a while.
