I use Tretinoin so I’m a bit more paranoid about the sun these days…and I was hoping for a benefit in smoothing the eye area. It has a slight white cast if you apply the amount you need to to get the SPF factor, but I cover over everything with a tinted sunscreen so the cast is no problem for me. It dries pretty quickly to a slightly tacky finish. Supposedly peptides are just humectants, so they will keep the area moisturized and therefore make any wrinkles or crepiness less noticeable. I haven’t had any allergic reactions or irritation. It doesn’t sting my eyes. It doesn’t make my eye makeup run or make it fade more quickly. But, sadly, I don’t look any younger. Anti aging claims are not necessarily a con, I mean, wearing sunscreen in any form will have an anti aging benefit because it protects your skin from the sun. So it’s all good.
Too soon to say if I will purchase this again. For now I will say no. I will use it up, and if I see any real benefits, will report back.

Just a heads-up that this contains Methylisothiazolinone. This seemed like something my eyes could deal with but Methylisothiazolinone gives me hives and burns my skin! It is banned in leave-on products in Europe (even in hair products), and many people are highly allergic to it.

This product came as a sample in my latest Birchbox. I love the idea of an SPF eye cream, but this one didn’t work for me at all. It peeled off my skin almost immediately and it was difficult to blend it in without it leaving a white cast under my eyes. I ended up wiping it off and throwing it away.

This is a lightweight cream with good sun protection. It goes well under eyeshadow and other makeup. The biggest deterrent with this eye cream is the price. I do not think that this has enough anti-aging benefits to warrant the price.
