This didn’t really do anything for me. I have curly, color-treated hair that is past my shoulders in length. My hair is in very good condition. This is supposed to be similar to a deep conditioner treatment. It was so inconvenient to have to wet and towel dry my hair before using this. I usually left it on a couple of hours before I shampooed it out. I honestly didn’t notice any difference. After using an entire bottle, I won’t repurchase.

I liked this as a mask, but I did not see anything extraordinary. I would leave it on overnight and wash off in the morning and the results were good: hydrating, smoothing. But I saw the same results from any other deep conditioning mask.

I find that leaving this product on my hair overnight and washing in the morning is really good for deep conditioning. However, I do not think that there are any ‘revolutionary’ results here, and I get the same results with this product as I would with any other deep conditioning mask.

My stylist gave me a sample of Olaplex No 3 and I used as instructed. My hair is thick, long, curly, course, and color treated (and I’m 56). I’m giving it 3 lipsticks because it was just okay, although I can see reading the other reviews where it’s a miracle for other hair types. It did detangle well but made my hair fluffy which is not desirable. After air-drying my damaged spots still felt dry and rough.

First you have to have wet hair, then apply and wait 20 min then rinse and shampoo. This is a very awkward way to condition my hair! I much prefer Living Proof Restore. I’m not a fan of the shampoo and conditioner either as it eventually made my hair feel greasy. Overall,I’ll pass on the Olaplex, although I did finish them up.

I used the number three for the first time this week. As instructed I used it on my hair for 10 minutes, since using my hair has been static and I have constant flyaways. I have washed my hair twice with my normal shampoo and conditioner since using and I am still not seeing any improvement. My hair did feel smoother but when I ran my fingers through it is felt clogged like there was a residue left. The biggest problem though is it’s so static and I desperately trying all sorts to manage it, hoping it will eventually subside after more washes.

I have thin wavy overprocessed porous hair, that wont hold color aynymore, and I have a ton of them. I want to make them feel healthier but look less fluffy and frizzy. Olaplex 3 makes my hair feel repaired but a bit too strong (not silky to the touch, but rough) and too voluminous, not sleek as I’d like. Maybe im leaving on too long, I can’t really understand why I’m not happy after using it 3 or 4 times the past years.

I eke out 6 or one and a half month’s treatments of #3 for my highly processed shoulder length hair that is desperate in need of moisture and tlc. I like to apply to damp hair and massage the scalp for good ten minutes or so and I absolutely love how it works almost immediately-brings cool relief to scalp and nourishes the hair like I just fed it superfood. After anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours, depending on conceived need, I rinse and condition in the shower and I swear my face and body too look and feel better somehow, with a slip that feels like a protective barrier. Albeit these effects are temporary but after years of abuse my hair finally is in relief. At three months in, my scalp is healthier, I shampoo less because dry itchy flakes are no more, there is less hair loss and quality is markedly improved. I’m optimistic that the effects will be cumulatively beneficial and continued use will further address or even negate my ever dependence on dyes and hot iron. Minus a star for price.

I am in my 60s. My grey hair was thinning & falling out. I have seborrheic dermatitis, meaning an oily scalp, dry flakey patches & dandruff. This cured all of that! My hair is long & with this product I only have to wash my hair once a week or less. It’s much fuller & shinier. I did not expect it to cure the skin condition of my scalp too. I’ve used the same bottle for 4 treatments so far and probably have enough left for 2 more.

I have been using Olaplex on and off for the last 2 years. I don’t have color processed hair but I have long natural hair that is hip length. I curl my hair several times a week so to help with my wear and tear damage I use Olaplex occasionally. I go through phases where I will use it routinely and then forget for several months before I start using it again.
I leave it on for 1-3 hours in the evening when I’m making dinner and watching TV and then shower it off. I am hopeful that it’s making my hair more manageable and will continue to use it.
