I don’t “get” this fragrance at all. I bought it blind with Ulta points. When I got it, the first time I spritzed it it was STRAIGHT lavender on me with nothing else, and that was not what I had hoped for or heard that it would be. Since I had a FB, I tried it again – and upon second spritz it was sweet and long lasting (read: more than one day) and really, really appealing, with a sweet-tart (the candy) vibe that I really liked and no lavender. The unpredictability has continued with further attempts.
I’m not gonna say I regret buying it (although I might, a little, since I don’t like Ariana and her donut-lickin’ ways). But when Cloud works, it works and it’s amazing. When it doesn’t work, it’s a one-note wonder which, if one is into straight lavender, one might really like. If I’m gonna wear lavender, it’s gonna be in another form (read: “Badger sleep balm”), which I know will be consistent. I don’t like Ariana Grande anywhere near enough to help her make money on something as inconsistent as this.

This perfume is so weird but so good. It smells a bit chemical but sexy at the same time.. I can’t explain it, I just love it.

To me the strongest notes of bergamot, coconut and praline are very reminiscent of those deluxe Sicilian-citrus-cream-filled-chocolates you get from Thorntons. These long scent notes are accompanied by whipped cream and clean florals – I get the vanilla-drenched orchid and a hint of lavender to tone down the sweetness – plus, maybe a touch of neroli? I don’t pick up on any major changes between the heart and base of the perfume, except something that seems like sea salt as the fragrance begins to dry down.
The only big downside for me scent-wise is the longevity; Cloud only wears for between 4 to 5 hours on me and has a weak throw, which is disappointing. To be nit-picky; the fruit-creme chocolates, romantic flowers, touch of clean sharpness, and the whipped cream scent notes don’t really inspire Cloud to live up to it’s name and inspiration [I’m thinking of a Valentines chocolates/flowers/Italian restaurant/walk along the beach & hint of date’s cologne on a cozy night out, rather than a artful display of uplifting optimization and hope]. I also can’t help commenting on the ugly bottle set-up; it doesn’t effect the juice at all, but the horrible presentation of this fragrance cheapens it a bit and makes it seem like children’s makeup in my head. Fortunately the cloud base is removable, and the glass bottle can stand alone – the base is going in the recycle box, for sure…
Official scent notes; bergamot, pear, lavender, coconut, whipped cream, praline, vanilla orchid, ‘woody’ notes and musk.
The downsides to this fragrance haven’t put me off recommending Cloud, since it is very easy to wear, won’t offend others if you work in a close environment and it is the most original of all of the fragrances in this brand as it doesn’t have marshmallow and/or sugared notes in it, like everything else that the brand has done so far – in my opinion Cloud is more unisex than her actual unisex fragrance [Frankie]. However the not-very-bad-but-not-very-good-either longevity and poor sillage does lessen my enjoyment of Cloud a bit overall – none of the Ariana Grande perfumes have great longevity, so that is something that the brand really need’s to work on improving.

The bergamont is so overwhelming and ultimately dominates the sweetness. I will not purchased.

On the right body chemistry, this stuff is wonderful. On me, however, it turns into the scent of drugstore lime aftershave. No coconut, praline, and only the faintest lavender. I recommend against blind buying this scent. Make sure it plays well with you before you commit.

Of course I totally agree with Lipglossjunkie below. I love this scent and was so pleasantly surprised by it! To me it smells like a girl’s night out with your best friend. Sitting at a table sharing a decadent dessert; a caramel pear tart topped with fresh whipped cream while sipping sugar rimmed lemon drop martinis. This scent lasts all day long, especially on my clothes. It’s perfect for the brisk fall weather but I’ll be wearing it all year!

Notes from Fragrantica:
Top notes are bergamot, pear and lavender; middle notes are coconut, whipped cream, praline and vanilla orchid; base notes are woody notes and musk.
This is lovely. I can see this suiting a wide age range of fragrance fans, it’s got a bit more mature feel than some of her other sweet fragrances, but still fun and vibrant. Some have compared it to Bath and Body works Boardwalk Marshmallow, but that one was just sweet musk and not much else on me. I also do not see the comparisons to Baccarat Rouge 540 other than the sweetness–they are both sweet fragrances.
This one is whipped cream and praline with a hint of lavender over a woody musky base. 2 sprays is about 5 hours on me, and the sillage is never loud or very strong. Coworker says it smells like spicy vanilla.
The bottle is clear blue glass with an acrylic cloud shaped lid…and it sits in a plastic ‘cloud’ base (but is removable from that base). Very kitschy, reminds me of Rainbow Brite and smurfs and childhood. I like it.
