I absolutely adore this scent, it is much more than just Frankincense and Myrrh though. Must have a vanilla note and caramel too.
As for the formula, PASS. Hard pass. Drying. Leaves a horrible ashy, tacky film on the skin, towels and tub. Not much cleaning power either. Way too expensive for the quality. I will take it to a friend that is also a perfumer, and have the scent replicated.

Woodsy, clean, and powerful. Lasting power is great and settles on the skin beautifully. Can read as regal, can be earthy, but it is quite distinct and enchanting. Peppery stimulating frankincense the perfect counterpart to the sweet, warm myrrh. There also seems to be a brightness coming here that almost smells like a bergamot or maybe even a soft, non-tart or sour lemon. But really that could just be another element to or the way this particular frankincense (I’m assuming maybe incorrectly that it is coming from the frankincense) was rendered. I like this is a lot, and it is great on its own, but also pairs beautifully with other woodsy/spicy fragrancs or dark florals.
Would recommend and buy again! Great price too! I have the body spray of this. Want to get the new roll-on perfume next time.

Being a lover of the Frank and Myrrh Zum Bar soap I assumed I’d love the rest of the things scented with this oil. But no. It really is too too sweet as an oil. It’s not useable for me as a personal fragrance. It also doesn’t really smell like frankincense or like myrrh. Mostly it smells like fir and pine and vanilla to me. I’ll keep using the soap though. Somehow the scent emerges from soap in a far better way.

Zum Oil is so yummy smelling! It is warm and sweet smelling and doesn’t give me a headache. It will also be good for layering.

Eau de Zum is incredible. At first sniff it may seem a bit too strong and masculine, but it quickly dries down to a more wearable fragrance. I find it to be a very calming scent. In fact, I like to spray my sheets with the matching mist before bed in the winter. I agree with the previous poster that eau de zum is more suitable for cold weather than hot weather. I recommend trying the frankincense & myrrh soap from indigo wild first to determine if you like the smell enough to want to invest in eau de zum.

This is a scent I have been wanting for several years, but put off buying, worrying that it was too masculine. I finally gave in this past week and purchased it, and am SO GLAD. Scents are always an iffy proposition for me, most either turn sour or are strong/sweet enough to trigger a migraine. Usually my best luck comes from either single-note fragrances, or “unisex” ones. This one is wonderful. While it is a little too “incense-y” for me upon application (although no patchouli, thank goodness – not my fav), it becomes softer, sweeter, lighter, and, dare I say it, more feminine upon drydown (at least, to me :0). It’s a very warm and calming scent – possibly more suited to the winter, but I apply all perfume sparingly because of my issues, so hopefully it will turn out to be wearable year-round. Haven’t tested it with DH yet, though – so the jury is still out! I purchased both the oil and the mist, and see myself wearing this A LOT after taking so long to purchase it.

Just picked this up today – I tried a tester several days ago and was thinking about it ever since. I paid $17 at a natural food store, and feel like it was a great price. I tend to go for patchouli scents, and this is a nice departure with the notes being frankincense and myrrh but I still get the warm and smoky incense notes that I love so much. I noticed this also comes in a “mist” for around $8 which might be nice for summer since it’s lighter. Two thumbs up!

After my skin has warmed it up, pretty! It doesn’t smell like traditionally feminine fragrances, but it’s not masculine either, and is a beautiful scent…makes me think of being in an enchanted forest. The soap smells very, very beautiful, too. A very nice warm yet refreshing scent.

What an excellent and affordable little find! Eau de Zum is created by the makers of Zum Bars, those great little wavy-cut natural soaps you find at Whole Foods and other holistic products stores. Zum describes Eau de Zum’s frankincense and myrrh scent (which, incidentally, is featured in multiple products beyond the perfume and is supposedly the company’s best-selling scent in all products) as “a deep, sweet, woodsy aroma that hits the citrus notes and fills everything out with vanilla undertones.” It has that great headshop aroma of classic frankincense and myrrh preparations, but cleaner; a bit incensy but not too smoky — a fresh incense, if you will. Like many scents containing myrrh, there’s a perfumey accord upon application that I’m not too fond of, but this fades down into a spicy, citrusy incense within 10 minutes. Good sillage and staying power, and a steal at $20 for 1.3 ounces of perfume OIL. The oil itself is thin and slippery, like sesame oil is compared to mineral oil, and sinks right into the skin. It comes in a fat little bottle with a roller ball the size of a jawbreaker. You can order it at indigowild.com.

This is my signature scent. It is cheap – only $20 for more than an ounce and is an oil so the scent lasts forever. My husband absolutely goes WILD for this one. I am horrible at picking out notes, etc, but it smells just like you’d think it should. There is the F&M and there’s a little citrus to it in the background. I love to layer it with POTL.
