I just bought my second bottle of Alba Botanica’s Acnedote Face & Body Scrub. This stuff is fantastic! The ingredients are all natural. The scrub is strong enough to remove make up and help with blemishes without being too harsh. The bottle is pretty big and you don’t need to use much each day even if you use it on areas besides your face. In other words, the bottle lasts for several months generally. I took off one lippie because it seems like this scrub should be put in a different bottle because in the current container it is stored in, it comes out too quickly and for those of us who aren’t used to it, you waste a lot of product.
Other than that, I love this scrub and will continue to buy!

Love this. Hope they never stop making it. Bought it to replace St. Ives Apricot Scrub, which was too harsh and stripping my skin. I use it on my face and chest, back, and shoulders, where I’m also prone to clogs and minor breakouts. It has also replaced Neutrogena’s Body Clear Body Scrub for me.
This one’s still got scrubbing power, so you don’t want to rub too hard, but it’s not anywhere near as abrasive or stripping as the SI Apricot Scrub. It also lathers and has a tingly, minty feeling. So refreshing!
I love love love the natural ingredients in the Alba Botanica line. Great quality products and no scary chemicals.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! I use this scrub as a daily facial cleanser. It gets all the makeup and dirt out of my face. When I’m done cleansing with this scrub my face feels sooo soft and clean!!
Oh, it also helps with blackheads! I think I’ve had maybe two (2) since using this over the past 6 months. Plus, my pores have significantly shrunk.
I would recommend to everyone.

I use this scrub on my back, where I tend to get breakouts. It works great during the cooler/drier seasons, where I don’t want to use anything too drying. It doesn’t strip my skin of too much moisture and it does a pretty good job of keeping my skin clear. I use it with a loofah with a long wooden handle, which makes it easier to reach my back.

I am on my third tube of this awesome scrub. I use it on my oily t-zone three times a week. After scrubbing for a minute I leave it on for a few more minutes as a treatment and it really does the job of cleaning out those whiteheads. I have noticed that it is too much for the drier areas of my face however. I love the smell and like that it is not made of the plastic beads that are noted to be bad for the environment because they do not break down. I recommend.

I’m on my 2nd purchase. The smell is nice, the texture for me is even better. Feels like rubbing sugar on your face. The particulars are just the right size& amount in each squeeze. My face felt clean after 🙂 and its cruelty free, can’t get any better

I love the Alba Botanica line and was super excited to find out they offer acne products. I purchased this scrub to exfoliate my back and reduce breakouts. Unfortunately, the consistency of this is scratchy and not gentle. I realize this is an exfoliator and it is not meant to be smooth in consistency, but this is extremely harsh and irritating.
Also, I realize that everyone has differences in how their skin reacts to products, however after two uses I had huge hives all over my back and neck. I am typically not allergic to the ingredients in this scrub, but for some reason this irritated my skin.

I am reviewing this as a body scrub — I’ve never tried it on my face, to be honest — but can wholeheartedly recommend it for that.
This is a 2% SA scrub that also has walnut shell as a physical exfoliant. I lather about two teaspoons over most of my body, leave it on for a minute or so, and then rinse it off. It definitely helps keep my skin smooth, but I do find I have to use it at least every other day in order to maintain this result. I wish it were a bit more potent, but for now it’s the best I’ve found.
