This cleanser worked somewhat better on dissolving the SkinMedica SPF 34 mineral sunscreen (great sunscreen, but difficult to remove) than the Facial Cleanser. It did not irritate my skin, but I had to slather my skin in it in order to get my sunscreen off.
It’s very expensive for 6 ounces and I always have to do a second cleanse because my skin has never felt actually clean after using it because it’s an oil cleanser.
It was not up to par compared to far less expensive cleansers on the market from Paula’s Choice, Cerave, Caroline Hirons’ Double Cleanse from Pixi, and I cannot recommend it.

Well this saved my damn face!
I have dry, hypersensitive, rosacean, dermatitis prone skin and this has been a life saver. I worked out that I was having a severe, prolonged, reaction to my QV Face Cleanser thanks to the Sodium Laureth Sulfate content. I then tried 6 cleansers in a fortnight trying to find something that didn’t burn and/or break me out.
Donna from Skin Resus in Floreat, Perth, put me on to this. It is designed for use on extremely fragile post procedure skin [Fraxel, IPL, Peels], and it has been incredible. So much so, my skin is so calm I can actually use a little bit of Retin A every few days which I haven’t been able to do in years.
Additionally, I had Fraxel on my neck/dec two days ago and I’ve been using it on my raw Fraxel skin and it’s very comfortable – no problems what so ever.
I also find I can now easily cleanse twice a day as it doesn’t strip my skin of moisture, I haven’t been able to do that for years. I was interested to read this comment from Paula Begoun on Beautypedia –
SkinMedica Sensitive Skin Cleanser is an interesting water- and oil-based cleanser that does not contain detergent cleansing agents. – I would agree with that review completely, this is for dry, sensitive, reactive skin. If your skin isn’t dry, sensitive or reactive, I’d imagine you wouldn’t feel sufficiently cleansed.
5 days after beginning this cleanser I have no rosacea, no dermatitis, and no dryness, just happy, even skin. It’s got to be a decade since that’s happened.

Ugh. This product did not work for me on any level. I feel it didn’t cleanse very well (with or without makeup & sunscreen on) and it dried out my jawline which resulted in irritated bumps. I relegated it to the shower to try it as a body wash – and even then it irritated my skin. I’m puzzled as this cleanser is specifically for sensitive skin?

This brand is heavily promoted in Derms and PS offices since its owned by Allergan, the Botox and fillers ppl. They just dont have skin care down! Some good ingredients but loaded with silicones which … folks I hate to break the news … but silicones do nothing for your skin. They fool you into thinking your skin is better but they are like junk food.

Please enlighten me: why do we need silicones in a cleanser??? This is essentially an overpriced oil cleanser with a ton of crap in it: lots of emulsifiers, silicones and cheap safflower oil.
My Derm gave me a tube of this along with some of the other SkinMedica products (none of which work for me) and my skin choked, puked and nearly died! I used this cleanser in his office then followed it with the Daily Physical Sunscreen by SkinMedica to try it out and by the time I got home my skin was telling me it was wrong wrong wrong.
This cleanser doesnt cleanse! It feels like a greasy film is still left on my skin. I had whiteheads and bumps on my face the next day and still dealing with that. Grrr…. 🙁 It doesnt remove anything!

I love the packaging! It is just like the honey bottles that stand on their tops’, no mess, feels hygienic. I use this after laser treatments or particularly sensitive times, and find it rather soothing. If I have makeup on I use DHC’s oil cleanser first. I did notice a mild sting a couple of times, if not this would’ve gotten 5 lippies.

Bought this based on recommendation of skincarerx.com with the 20% MUA discount. It is a creamy, non-foaming cleanser designed for senstive skin or post cosmetic procedure skin. It is very gentle but still removes my makeup (I don’t wear much) and the day’s dirt. It has no fragrance and did not bother my allergies. Loved it for the summer but now that the cold is coming to New England and my skin is getting dryer it is making my skin feel a little tight when I wash but if I put on more moisturizer it is OK. I will try to find another cleanser more moisturizing for the winter but I will come back to this for when the weather gets warmer. If you are looking for a foaming or liquidy cleanser this is not for you.

Unfortunately this cleanser didn’t work for me (like so many others). It was nice and creamy but no foaming at all which is good. But it stung my cheeks while washing and didn’t rinse very well. I much prefer Cerave Cleanser to this.

Love this cleanser! I have oily acne prone skin and this cleanser is so gentle. I do not notice an oily residue or anything afterwards. There’s little foam, but it does clean! I do believe it has helped balance my natural oil production. I use this cleanser, calmitude spray, & absolute moisture and my skin has NEVER looked better! Acne scars are healing & I’m so close to being able to leave the house without foundation! 😀

I love this cleanser! I have sensitive, combination dry acne prone skin. This is the only cleanser I use. It doesn’t break me out and it is gentle. It has a pleasant light aromatherapy smell. Nothing too fragrant. I love the glass packaging as it is environmentaly friendly. I have tried every cleanser under the sun. Trust me, stick with this. It is number 1.

Sensitive Skin Cleanser saved my ravaged skin. I have sensitive, allergic skin prone to redness and numerous reactions. Being oil based, this doesn’t alter your skin’s natural pH, allowing over-cleansed, over-treated skin to recover. Also, for those oilier people who may not want to slather more oil all over their faces- like cleans like, so oil will suck up other oil. In my experience, my oily skin has returned to a normal balance using this cleanser. Give it a try!
EDIT: I came back to note that I no longer use this. I found this didn’t remove makeup which made me start to break out. It’s also very expensive for what it is. Still a nice gentle way to clean bare skin but I don’t keep separate makeup/no makeup cleansers.

This cleanser is great for me in winter, as the Decongestant cleanser was very drying for me. So in summer/ humid day I use the Decongestant cleanser and in winter/dry days I use this sensitive cleanser, love it! Very gentle and very clean after wash. I have less cyst acne after I start using it.
The only problem as I said in my Decongestant cleanser review, it is the pump packaging!!! Hate it because the cleansing oil keep leaking through the junction below the white cap. I found it leak more when the room temperature is higher. I really don’t know why, the lid suppose to be closed when you twist it to the end. Also one time I carry it in my bag while traveling to USA, and it leak 1/3 of the bottle, Err!!! So make sure it is upright, even you are sure you have close it.

I love all oil based products such as this bioelements cleanser. I wish it did foam a little bit more, it just foams a little bit. I wet my face then pump 4 times in the palm of my hand and then massage the product over my face. It feels good but did not remove eyeliner (gel or pencil) and I used a different product to remove all makeup from my face. I love the scent and will buy it again.

I tried this after using Dermalogica Precleanse. This made more sense to me as it’s a cleanser that contains oil. The glass pump dispenses the right amount of product, which only takes 1-2 pumps. I think this is best for use during Winter as the oils where non-drying. I recommend using lukewarm water to rinse it off completely.

Totally removes my makeup (mascara and liner included). I use on dry skin and leave on to get the benefit of the polyphenols, then activate with water to cleanse, per esthetician’s advice. Leaves skin soft but I haven’t broken out in the areas I worry about. My new favorite skin care product.

This was just plain awful. There’s no other word for it. It smelt bad (really chemically), it made my skin feel bad (dirtier after use than it felt with a full face of day old makeup), it was bad as a face wash and bad as a shower gel (no lather and the chemical smell got worse). There truly was nothing good about this product whatsoever. As a result, I used less than a 1/4 of the bottle before throwing it in the trash. Avoid like the plague!!

This product smelt weird – it sort of smells like sneezes which sounds gross but thats immediately what I thought and I didn’t even know sneezes had a smell. It boasts a tonne of natural sounding, comedogenic free ingredients and I’m so fussy when it comes to ingredients I thought this was a safe (emergency) buy – straying from my normal Sukin cleanser which I couldn’t get at the time. Firstly I have always had physically clear but quite clogged skin (ie blackheads). However my early twenties or maybe a poor diet (too acidic maybe-?) brought about an annoying pattern of hormonal spots on my jawline once and month. However since using Korres watermelon foundation my cheeks have (long after stopping) been bumpy and clogged. This Korres cleanser really did nothing for skin but dry it out and I just felt uncomfortable with the fragrance – I don’t want my cleanser to smell nice I want it to gently cleanse. In addition my jawline spots were soo much worse – they were actually coming up into proper spots with white heads (not just red dots). I dunno why I keep buying Korres! Something in their products antagonizes my poor skin. I just felt my skin sigh in relief when I went back to my Sukin. One plus side is a bottle would last absolutely aages.

I use Olay Gentle makeup wipes and this cleanser and toner. I use Retin-A nightly and also Pevonia’s sensitive skin cream. This keeps my skin looking calm and healthy. Love this line!

I just started using the complete Pevonia Sensitive Skin Care Line. I have used the Toner and Cream before and really liked those products so I decided to add the cleanser. I have combination skin and get quite oily in my T-zone. This product really helps keep the oil at bay.
I stuggle with clogged pores on my forehead. I was using a wash with salicylic acid and that made my skin break out terribly. After just a few days of the using the cleanser, my skin is beginning to calm down.
The cleanser feels a bit like lotion when putting it on. I usually remove my makeup with wipes first. When I used the cleanser witout removing my makeup, I don’t think it got all my makeup off. So, I will continue to remove my makeup before cleansing.
The cleanser is a bit expenses. However, it is very high quality and will last a long time. I bought mine at a local salon where I get facials.

This is a fragrance-free, non-detergent, mild cleanser in lotion form that doesn’t dry out or irritate my dry skin. I smooth it on gently, massage in, and rinse off. (I use a separate makeup remover.)

Wow, wow, wow!!! This product is so great. I have tried everything under the sun this winter for my sensitive, dry (normally combo) acne prone skin-Baumann type DSNT. I bought this on a whim after trying the following: Aveeno Positively Radiant, Cetaphil, Aquanil, Mary Kay Timewise, Ren Rose Centifolia, and everything was so drying and irritating, especially the Aquanil and Ren. I decided to buy this from skincarerx.com with the mua20% discount and I am super impressed. The creamy non-oily texture was beautiful and all the ingredients are not irritating (carefully analyzed them after reading Paula’s books and Dr. Baumann’s). This type of cleanser is just the type that Dr. Baumann prescribed for DSNT types…I am so thrilled. It’s non-foaming and no frarance added, except for a faint scent from the Chamomile. Will update again if anything changes. I use the Fancl Mild Cleansing Oil to remove makeup beforehand and they too work synergistically very well.

Very gentle cleanser for my combo skin. It’s a white milky cleanser that didn’t irritate my skin at all. Great flip-top tube that should be great for travel. I love all of SkinMedica’s latest packaging (grey tubes and bottles).

I got this 6 oz. bottle for free, along with my Revitalize peel that is by the same company. The cleaser is very cream like, doesn’t produce suds, but is very good for after peel treatments and for super sensitive skin. There is absolutely no scent and rinses makeup off pretty well. I wouldn’t buy this simply because I get it free of charge, but it is a good everyday cleanser and perfect for my three days of peeling with no irritation.

I love Bioelements sensitive skin cleanser. It is gentle on my sensitive skin and has reduced the redness in my skin dramatically. I love that is removes my makeup completely since it is oil based. Even if you have acneic/combo skin this product is good to remove the makeup from your pores. Then follow up with a cleanser formulated for your skin type.

I was looking for a cleanser that would be gentle enough for my super sensitive skin (oily AND prone to acne, blemish, and clogged pores). This cleanser was on my skin, powerfully effective yet gentle enough for my morning cleansing ritual, and my night one, which includes MU (concealer and powder foundation) removal. BUT. After a few days of using this cleanser, I started having a MAJOR breakout. Like I’m talking about those hard CYSTIC acne, all over my face. The Horror! I was, thank goodness, able to stop the acne just in time. Bioglycolic treatment all around.. I also immediately stopped using the cleanser, and my breakout practically came to a halt. Really, I thought this was supposed to be a cleanser for sensitive skin! And after all of those excellent reviews on MUA! Alas, I could only give this cleanser one lippie for its wonderful scent, and nothing more.

This is a fantastic gentle cleanser that I would recommend to all skin types. I have oily skin and this was amazing as a pre-cleanser as it just melted all the dirt from the pores and really improved the effects of the gel cleanser I would use afterwards. My only gripe is the glass bottle which is very difficult to travel with.
