I bought Succumb years ago when I was on a matte eyeshadow craze. I hear Illamasqua made great matte eyeshadows, so I bought two: one matte and one shimmery. I got rid of the shimmery one years ago because I didn’t like the way it looked on my lids- it was a white shimmery shade, which was a really BAD choice. I guess it would make for a great brow highlight or an inner eye corner highlight; but I don’t do either, so this shadow was not for me. As for Succumb, I was probably only mildly impressed when I bought it, because I rarely used it. It sat in the back of my makeup drawer unloved- until yesterday. I have been discarding old things that I no longer use, but I test them one last time before throwing them away. I am glad I gave this shadow another try, because it is EXCELLENT! The formula is creamy and highly pigmented, and it goes amazing with my skin tone. (MAC SFF NW20) I feel like it makes my eyelids look younger, which is a definite plus once you reach my age. I am wearing it again today, and it makes me wish I had more of these Illamasqua matte eyeshadows. I guess I would describe it as a pale peachy shade, or maybe even a nude. I know they still sell this online, so I am going to purchase more in other nude colors.

I would say that this is very similar to MAC Orb eyeshadow. However, it is more sheer and I don’t get much coverage on my purplish eyelids. It is a matte neutral pale peachy pink. It is expensive too and not worth the money in my opinion.
