I am – quite possibly – the only person on planet earth that doesn’t like Soap & Glory products, but that doesn’t stop me from trying their stuff on the off-chance that one day I might find a product that will change my mind. Sadly however, this isn’t going to be the one to do it.
It’s a decent enough body butter – thick, moisturising and easy to apply – but the scent is just awful! It’s so artificial and cloying, and smells nothing like coconut and limes. It also lingered on my skin in a very unwelcome way, interfering with the scent of my perfume and making it smell ‘off’ all day.
So, the search continues for that one Soap & Glory product that doesn’t make me want to hurl it into the trash after the second use…

After finding the lotion version of this not nearly moisturizing enough and also really lacking in the zingy lime scent I’d come to expect because I’ve used both the shower gel and the scrub, I’m happy that I finally picked up this richer cream formula and have given it a try. It is much more moisturizing than the lotion and the scent is far more evident. I have the lighter, lotion formula of The Righteous Butter and find that very hydrating and soothing to my winter-parched skin (I’ve been using it for years) so was surprised that the lotion in this particular scent/line was not nearly moisturizing enough, even in the less drying weather of late summer/early autumn. But this cream/butter version is much better. I can see the scent being a bit “much” – I tend to use it after a night-time shower or bath. I find the scent pleasant as I climb into bed and by morning, it has toned down considerably. I will probably purchase this again although I do rather prefer the scent of the original Righteous Butter (and its lotion counterpart).

I hate to the the outlier here, but blech. I absolutely love Soap & Glory’s body care products in the Original Pink scent, and the other scent that’s kind of gourmand is nice too, but the fragrance in this body cream made me feel a little sick. It is just straight-up super strong very synthetic smelling lime with no sweetness at all. Having loved S&G’s other body butters, I just slapped this stuff on when I got out of the shower and I immediately considered taking another shower just to wash it off. The formula seems the same as the Righteous Body Butter, which comes in the Original Pink scent, so it is moisturizing and absorbs fairly quickly for being so heavy, but my god the smell. It seriously lingered for a couple of hours, and I was mad at myself every time I caught a whiff of it. I will stick with the other two scents since they work just fine for me, but beware, unless you’re a hardcore lover of fake lime scents this one may not be for you–sample it before you use it on your entire body.

It’s a good body cream. Good price, plenty of product, absorbs quick. My favorite thing about it is the scent. Sweet, creamy, lime.

First off, this body butter is incredibly rich and moisturizing, yet it melts right into your skin so you’re not left with a greasy slick, just baby softness. I shower and moisturize in the morning and usually by early evening my legs are super dry and itchy. With this product my skin still feels soft, smooth and comfortable at bedtime.
And the scent! Who wouldn’t want to smell like a lime popsicle (and have your bathroom smell like one) during the dog days of summer? I loved the scent so much I got the body wash and spray as well. The scent dries down to a faint sweetness within minutes which is fine – it’s done it’s job which is to make you feel sunny and happy.

Very nice body cream, hefty jar, reasonable price. Sugar Crush fragrance is just sweet, like candy or a neutral sugar. Would repurchase.

This comes in a 300 ml jar. This is a very rich, very moisturizing cream that sinks in, is not greasy, and does not dry tacky. It has a strong but not overpowering aroma of lime and vanilla. So rich, my almost-60 year old skin can skip a day. Contains shea butter, coconut oil, almond oil, and propylene glycol. This product is made in the UK.
