   Lovely moisturizer. Developed by an US dermatologist for Chanel. In wintertime this is borderline enough moisturizing for me. But in general I am very pleased with it. Sinks quickly into skin, no residue, no sticky feeling, no scent. Price is quite steep, but I buy in bulk with 30% discount offers. A keeper!

   This helped my skin tremendously when it freaked out from stress and perhaps prerosacea. My skin was angry and red and my normal cleanser and moisturizer weren’t working…so I switched to Kiehls Cucumber cleanser and this cream. That’s it…for two months so far and my skin is 75% better. I like that it dispenses one serving so you don’t worry if you’re putting too little or too much one. I have very dry skin and this is good but not great which is why I gave it four stars. My skin needs a little more moisture but for now I’m just happy that it is clearing up. It was the only cream I could put on my face and not have it turn redder. I really like that it has zero irritants and no alcohol.

   PS – I am on my fourth bottle of this! I get it off of eBay and I couldn’t be happier!

   My skin immediately breaks into a rash with most products. I was looking for something that would help with my MN dry skin as well as not cause a rash the second I used it. I can’t for the life of me figure out why most “sensitive skin” product contain a fragrance, and was thrilled this didn’t. I use this at night mixed with my Rx acne & rosacea creams, and even as a hand lotion since my hands are as reactive as my face. Due to cost, I’m not positive I’ll consistently purchase, but it turned out to be a great buy for me.

   I had two sample tubes of this, which surprisingly is lasting me a while! I find a small amount of the product goes a long way. My skin can be so sensitive to new products and after a really awful few months with my skin last year, I spent the following 6 months really going back to basics with my skin care.
   The product is quite a thick, white crème which spreads easily over the face. I apply to clean, exfoliated skin before bed and my face felt beautifully smooth and hydrated. I woke up to a radiant, plump skin with definite improvement on some fine lines.
   That being said, I started using Nivea Creme 2 weeks ago and have had the exact same effect… along with giving me over 6 times the amount of product with a saving of £60.00! If you have the money? Go for it.

   Sorry but you really are just paying for the brand name with this one. I love the effort to keep it basic, I think thats truly amazing for a high-end brand. However for some reason this always caused my skin to feel slightly burny… mind you I don’t have sensitive skin at all, so this was odd for me. Im thinking there may be too much phenoxyethanol in it but not sure. Would not re-purchase. Also did not find it very moisturizing.

   I didnt care for this at first but now my skin cleared up and since my skin is changing ive been really enjoying it. it feels silky and absorbs really fast. I love how simple it is. yes its expensive but it is comfortable on and feels like nothing but calms and balances my skin, i love how this makes my skin feel like my skin and nothing else, it isnt greasy or give that weird film overtop. It also isnt tight and uncomfortable. it is a goldylock of a cream. I just repurchased the big bottle off ebay for cheaper. the only downside to this is the price. Id say wait for a Macys sales to grab this!!

   I’m writing this review because I think this moisturizer is overpriced for what it is. I was suckered into buying this for my dry and sensitive skin by the charming Chanel SA lady who mentioned this was made specifically for people suffering from sensitive skin. She assured me that it would not aggravate my rosacea and that I would like it better than my current Avene tolerance cream. Well, after trying this Chanel version, my response is: I don’t. Here’s why:

   First a bit about the Chanel cream:
   Chanel’s claim: “Why 10? Out of thousands ingredients tested, it took just 10, no more, no less to compose the most pure yet effective solution for calming and soothing sensitive skin.”
   They list these 10 as: Water, vegetal squalane, soft powder, glycerin, silver needle tea extract, shea butter extract, emollient, emulsifier, humectant preservative.

   What it really contains: Phenoxyethanol,Steareth-21, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Shea Butter Extract, Glycerin, White Tea Extract, Lauroyl Lysine, Vegetal Squalane.
   So what we are basically getting are: skin conditioning agents, preservatives, emulsifiers, an antioxidant and binding humectants.

   Price: $106 Canadian for 30 mL ($$$).

   Packaging: An opaque white bottle with a pump. The pump aspect is nice and sanitary.

   Texture: Light and absorbs quickly.

   My reaction: This was moisturizing but it felt like it did the job of a basic moisturizer. For me personally, it’s definitely not worth the high price tag for the minimal ingredients. In addition, interestingly, some studies have shown that as a preservative, Phenoxyethanol may cause skin irritation.

   Would I repurchase? No.

   Alternate product: I have found that my current moisturizer: Eau thermale Avene Tolerance Extreme emulsion works amazingly well for my sensitive and reactive skin. It was recommended to me by my dermatologist but because it has no antioxidant properties, I always seem to think I could always find a better cream. To date, I haven’t and have resolved to using an anti-oxidant serum along with this Avene cream.
   For those wondering about Avene, similar to Chanel le 10 solution, the Avene also has minimal ingredients (8 only) but has the advantage of having no preservatives. It’s also recommended by the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients Association.
   The Avene’s ingredients are (light version listed below- the rich version has Shea butter added).
   Aqua, Squalane, Behenyl Alcohol (vegetal source), Capriylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Sodium Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer.

   The price is also much cheaper: $35 for 50 mL (it also goes on sale often at 20% off at Shoppers Drug Mart).

   So in conclusion, I think it’s great that Chanel is gearing to sensitive skin types and I think when it comes down to basics (which I think the Chanel cream really is), it’s a matter of personal preference. I thought I’d spoil myself with the Chanel version but in reality, I found that it performed no better than my beloved Avene Tolerance Extreme cream. Personally, I think the minimal ingredients for both Chanel and Avene are what really helps calm and soothe reactive skin, so there’s nothing overly special about one over the other.

   Anyways, as helpful as it is reading other people’s reviews, I do hope my review provided some helpful feedback and thank you for reading 🙂

   It is just ok… maybe just perfect for sensitive skin dealing with intolerance problems. I bought it as an alternative to Le Jour and La Nuit that were unfortunately discontinued so SA suggested this to me which I can see has little to do and is a far cry compared to the others… Le Jour and La Nuit were much more interesting and cheaper even!!! I am still a sucker for Chanel even if I want to quit!

   I used Differin gel over the summer without any problems. As soon as the weather turned cold, I began to experience discomfort and dryness. I stopped Differin, but made the mistake of trying an AHA to exfoliate the dry patches — which compounded the problem with flushing and redness. So, I’m not a Chanel person at all, but I went and got a sample of La Solution 10. It fixed a major dry patch and calmed the redness within a few days.

   I’m pretty scared of moisturizers, but this worked so well that I got brave and started using it all over. It’s really good. It feels breathable. It doesn’t aggravate breakouts at all, and it doesn’t seem to clog my pores. That’s amazing to me. Now that everything seems to be full of silicones, I react to most moisturizers, sunscreens, and liquid foundations with major breakouts (at 64). I’m grateful that this doesn’t have silicones.

   Of course the price tag is painful, but after scoring one more sample, I bought it. It feels ironic to be paying $80 for ten ingredients, but my skin certainly appreciates the simplicity of this formula. Now, if anyone finds a dupe…

    La Solution 10 is a thick scent free moisturizer in a beautiful sleek pump packaging.
    I find it quite difficult to spread over my face (several pumps are needed). It absorbs fast and it doesn’t leave any residue on face or on hands. Very pleasant experience, except the fact that it stings for couple of minutes.
    I have combination (normal to dry) sensitive dehydrated skin, yet my forehead becomes shiny greasy mess in about an hour when I use this.
    But the worst is that La Solution 10 contains high dose of Lauroyl lysine (amino acid made from coconut taffy acid that prevents skin from ‘breathing’) and it clogged all my pores. I do not have large pores, but it looks like every tiny little one is clogged. My skin was clear before I start using this, I haven’t changed anything else in my skincare, makeup or diet, but now it’s as bumpy as sandpaper.
    I passionately hate this product!
