I love lano products. The cleanser, the hand creams, that Aussie flyer face mask, the lip balm, and the multipurpose cream, those are all fantastic. This is good, too, but the scent is too intense. I kind of like it, as it’s kind of retro, but it’s too strong on my face, and a bit too thick for my tastes (it feels like a coating). I tried it on my hands but find the scent still too strong, as I find it lingers and is distracting. It also seems to irritate dry skin. The hand cream is a holy grail item for me, but this just doesn’t deliver. It’s not bad. It’s just not for me.

I like using the everywhere multi-cream as a face moisturizer so I had high hopes for the face base vitamin e day cream. It’s a nice cream for the face as it does provide hydration, behaves if I layer it under or over other moisturizers and foundations glide over it with no issues. But the ingredient listing is similar to the everywhere multi-cream with the first 8 ingredients being exactly the same. They smell the same too. The 9th ingredient in the listing is colloidal oatmeal, which Lano claims is “calming”, but I question this claim as it is typically used by itself and not as one of two dozen other ingredients. Both creams have vitamin e in them so emphasizing this is a moot point.
I recommend anyone willing to splurge or looking to see if this formulation of cream works for them to go for it and give this face cream a try. If you’re wanting to be conservative and try out a nice moisturizer with a good dose of lanolin in it, then get the everywhere multi-cream because the face base costs about $12 per ounce and the multi-cream is half that. I have other cosmetic items I would rather splurge on so I won’t be repurchasing the face base vitamin e day cream. I have, however, repurchased the everywhere multi-cream and also reviewed it on MUA. I apologize it is listed as a “unlisted brand” as Lano was not a brand option at the time.
