I’m not an affiliate nor do I know anyone who works for this mlm personally. I usually don’t try any makeup from mlm’s but I tried this one before it became one and each year I purchase during the summertime. I’d say this makeup system is comparable to Eve Cosmetics Cream Palette but half the price and I go through the Eve Pearl one much faster. I use this for the gym or by the pool. It’s not heavy looking and it gives gorgeous glow (both the foundation and highlight). I blend with a beauty blender sponge, I haven’t tried their brushes as I see that they are pricey and my blender works for me. I have combo skin and I set before primer and after makeup application lightly with powder and setting spray.

I look for something that doesn’t look mask-like, wears all day long without help from setting sprays and doesn’t transfer. This foundation did not tick any of those boxes. The price for this foundation is cheap, but in the end, it isn’t worth the price for the headaches I had with it transferring all over my mobile phone, under my fingernails, and even on my shirts. I didn’t know foundations could transfer this badly with the technology available in manufacturing and ingredients today. I even found it on the steering wheel of my car where it got on my fingers from touching my face and then on the steering wheel. That is enough to warrant never repeating a purchase, but there’s more.
This sits on the skin. If you want people to know you are wearing foundation, you may be okay with the overall look. I do not like seeing the product on my face and prefer it to look like it is my skin. It also does not wear all day. It’s been years and years since I’ve looked in the mirror at 12 p.m. to find the foundation is completely gone from my chin and forehead. I don’t even have oily skin. Now, if you like buying additional products like primers and setting sprays, you may be able to make this product work. I prefer to use skin care and a foundation that performs without help from additional products. I forgot how frustrating foundations used to be before advancements were made. Maskara was a reminder of how far we’ve come.
Also, I received this in January in the low 60’s temperature-wise. The foundation had melted and run outside of the little pan it’s packaged in. I’m not a Maskara consultant and am not affiliated with them or any other brand. I purchased directly from the website and not through a consultant. Do your research. There are a lot of great reviews of this foundation, but it is also a multi level marketing brand, like Mary Kay, that is sold through independent sales consultants in addition to online. You do the math on all those 5-star reviews ; )

After 4 contours and 4 highlight colors, I STILL can’t get this makeup to stay on my skin. I’ve never been oily in my life (Retin-A user for the past 3 years) and this stuff just melts off my skin. I look like a grease pot after just two hours of wear time. I’ve tried the mix/matching combo of setting spray, powder, primer/no primer. It just doesn’t matter. My first thin layer is on and I already have polka-dot pores and it will not stay on my nose no matter what I do. My skin takes on this orange peel texture. I’ve tried a super thin base of my highlight, then contour and blush…..once I begin any type of blending, be it with a beauty blender or one of their brushes..I’m down to bare skin. Light-handed, too. I’ve tried one highlight and contour at a time and then only blending one time..same results. I’m so frustrated. Was told a different color will help. How can a “color” affect the application, blending ability and wearing properties of this cream foundation? That doesn’t even make sense to me!
Any tips before I pack up $300 worth of Maskcara back to the company? I sooooo wanted this to work (insert super sad face).
THANKS!

I love this foundation. The whole system is fast and the results are really glowy and pretty. The shades are a little strange so you def have to get matched but once you are the foundation looks like skin. I would say this is buildable to medium coverage. You can spot conceal but it’s not the greatest at that. It does a nice job of leaving a dewy finish, evening tone, correcting tone, and blending. I love it,easy to get out the door in the morning.

This is the best foundation I have ever tried! It blends really easy and a little goes a long way. I like that I can just replace the colors I use more of and not the whole palette. And at $12 each, it’s comparable to drugstore prices but way better quality. I use their skincare too and it is amazing.

Maskcara Beauty is GORGEOUS. It’s easy to use, quick, and affordable! Some of the best products I have ever used. My skin is the best it’s ever been. Cream foundation is the way to go! The compacts and double ended brushes make the days of digging through your makeup bag long gone!

Not good for dry or oily skin. Your skin has to be in perfect condition for this to apply and look nice. Way too subtle to look good without using my old makeup. I had to use concealer underneath and then i went over top with powdered bronzers to create more dimension and set the cream makeup. Disappointed since there was such a huge hype about this product.

Let me say the packaging is beautiful! Loved it! The price is okay. I wasn’t satisfied with the product in the end so I am of course unhappy with spending any money on Maskcara. But despite that is was pretty expensive considering you HAVE to buy their brushes for the makeup to apply properly ($30+ each), it is also highly recommended you use their cream because you need a heavy moisturizer (this makeup looks awful on dry skin), etc etc.
I did a lot of research before buying Maskcara and wasn’t expecting a miracle product since I repeatedly read and was told by my artist this makeup has a learning curve. I decided to give it a try and gave it 5 and a half months. Yeah 5 and a half months of being unhappy with my face. First time applying I was happy with the look but with a cream foundation it never sets like powders. The cream is thick and after 3 hours my face looked oily. My artist recommended I put on a really thin layer and that helped. It took me several tries before I got it right and maybe it also gave my skin time to get used to the makeup but at that point the makeup barely made a difference. It barely evened out my skin tone anymore and it didn’t look like I had any makeup on my face. Completely defeating the purpose. I was just plain disappointed in the end and have gone back to liquid and powder foundations that provide great coverage, lasts all day on my face and looks great. Plus with other makeups I can do so many more looks not just the plain jane everyday look.

I’ve been using this product for a couple of months. After I realized that the trick is less product, I fell in love with this makeup. It did take a couple of times to get the hang of it. Now it takes less time to get ready for work and the results are amazing. The brushes make everything a snap! The coverage is great, it goes on smooth, feels great and I have not had any adverse reactions.
The price of these products fit into any budget and the packaging is genius and adorable.
In short, Maskcara IIID foundation is a game changer.
