I have been painting my nails for years without a day’s break. As a result my nails acquired a yellow/orange ‘natural’ hue which wouldn’t shift. It never really bothered me too much, because the polish I wear is never sheer and so my nail cannon be seen.
However, when I came across this product I decided to try it out. I expected magical results after just one use, but having used it for the first time I have seen no difference whatsoever. I have made a point to use this paste every time I take my nail polish off (every couple of days) and having now used for over 10 times I can say that my nails look a little lighter.
I apply the paste, rub it in for a few minutes, then use a nail brush to increase the effect before washing it off.
I have a feeling that I might have achieved similar effect if I just used natural products.
I think this might work well if you use it on the nails that are not as discoloured as mine to begin with or perhaps if you use a particular nail polish that has stained your nails and this paste is used straight after.
However, if you have badly stained nails don’t expect a miracle from this one. I selected that I wouldn’t repurchase it, but if by the time I finish this tube my nails look miles better I might reconsider just so that I can keep them looking brighter.

This product worked great for me! I know some people have said it needs 4-5 uses to work but I achieved stain free nails first time round.
I applied it to each individual nail then let it sit for 2 minutes then scrubbed with a nail brush dipped in water. It worked first time around and considerably lifted the staining, which for me had been developing over several months due to nail polish. I also find that a good thorough scrub is required or it won’t lift as much staining as it possible could. If this isn’t done for at least 2 minutes it won’t lift all my staining.
Prior to this the only thing that would work was scrubbing my nails with bleach for 10 minutes, none of the other suggestions ie. Whitening toothpaste, baking powder etc. Worked for me.
I bought this for £4.50 from Nail Polish Direct and got free shipping so for me a bargain for a product that will last ages

It’s like toothpaste for the nails. Smells like it, looks like it… works like it. Kinda pricey for a small tube (SGD15). Doesn’t work immediately, but if you’re patient, it should show results after maybe 4 – 5 uses. Really depends on how stained your nails are I guess. Mine were pretty yellow thanks to China Glaze sunshine pop… I now see the whitening effect after about a week of almost daily scrubbing.

I picked this up at a beauty store by me, at the time- I was having awful nail staining. I paint my nails constantly, but sometimes I want to just wear a clear coat. Well, I tried this whitening paste out with a nail brush (I think that’s what it says to do on the package). I scrubbed one nail and repeated on the other.
It worked but it wasn’t that great. Well, I put it aside and the next time I had staining I tried it again- I noticed my nails became much whiter this time.
I think the more you use it, the less stained your nails become. At least, that’s my experience.
I use this product once a week and I love it.

I purchased this product based on the review of a nail blogger (she was not paid for the product review). My nails do not have horrible staining, but have some yellow staining towards the ends, and are not presentable for wear without polish because of this.
This product can be purchased at various places online, from amazon to the beauty clutch to the nail superstore. Prices and shipping vary; I paid $9.99 USD for a 1.75 oz. tube with free shipping, for reference.
The product itself is very very VERY thick, and difficult to dispense. I found that kneading the tube (with the cap still on) for a couple of minutes prior to use made it much easier to dispense. The primary ingredient in the product is calcium carbonate, which is the main component of things like eggshells and seashells, if that gives you any indication of how thick this paste is.
I used a miniature toothbrush to scrub my nails with this paste, and put a tiny dab of paste on each nail prior to scrubbing. I scrubbed well, but was not “wowed” by the results the first time around. I had to go ahead and scrub them all over again to really see an impact. The blogger whose review I read did not state how many times she had to scrub to get her nails white again, but I suspect it was much more than once. Another nail blogger stated she had to do it 3 times before she saw success.
The bottom line is that that product works, and it works much better than soaking in whitening mouth wash or other stain removal tricks that I have tried. Since I only use a small amount at a time, despite having to go through 3 scrub downs, the tube will last a good while because the product is so dense. For me, it is worth the money, as I only do stain removal about once a month or so on my nails. For others, YMMV, depending on how much you are wanting to whiten and how badly your nails are stained.
Overall, I think it is a decent product and worth checking out.
