   I love this oil, but once I discovered the recipe on Ana’s blog I’ve been making it myself since the shipping and duties to Canada are just too pricey. Recipe below:

   4 oz Jojoba Oil
   4 oz Grape Seed Oil
   4 oz Extra Virgin Olive Oil
   3 drops Tea Tree Oil
   2 mL Vitamin E Oil
   2 mL Vitamin A Oil

   I’ve been wanting to try this forever, but the price always put me off, especially including shipping to Canada. I ended up getting the 4 pen starter pack.

   I like what it does for my nails. They do seem to be a little more resilient and don’t break quite as often on days when I don’t have polish on. But as I have polish on nearly every day, this wouldn’t benefit me as much as someone who doesn’t wear polish as often.

   I don’t find it does anything for my dry cuticles, so if that’s what you’re purchasing for, you’d be better off with a more hydrating product.

   The amount you get is also pretty small for the price, Just using one of the pens 2-3 times a day for a few days, it’s already half gone. Factoring in shipping, these work out to about $10 a pen, so I think you should get more than a week of use out of one.

   The pen itself is good quality and sturdy, so I’ll probably refill them with a homemade mix next time. As I bought them more for hydration, I’ll be passing on repurchasing in the future unless the price is significantly lower.

   I’ve been using this for bout a month now and have noticed not a single hangnail, which I am notorious for. I’m currently leaving a job where I use my hand a lot so am hoping to see thicker growth, (Currently have to keep them short) but have definitely noticed them growing faster. The pen applicator makes it really convenient to remember and carry around. I bought a few on black friday but would definitely but the set again or refill for full price. Plus the creator of the website tries to stay informed about nail health in general.

   Very happy with this nail oil. I tried to save money and just use plain jojoba oil, but it was so heavy. This stuff is worth it. Love the Summer 2015 fragrance, and Crisp fragrance is very nice too. I learned a lot about proper nail care from Ana’s (product creator) website. Previously I was murdering my nails and cuticles. Gentle is better.

   Going to keep it short and sweet! Liquid gold for your nails and cuticles! It’s pricey but so worth it. Nails grow better, stops chipping, flaking, peeling, etc. How are there not more reviews?! Your nails will love it.

   I can’t stress how awesome this stuff is. It’s a jojoba based nail/cuticle oil that might actually be magic. I love having long nails, but I’ve always had a difficult time keeping them long without them breaking, and a broken nail feels like a nightmare when you have to chop off the other nine pretty long nails to match the broken one! It comes in many different volumes and packagings of the product, but the one that I got was a 2ml, refillable oil pen, and a 15ml refill dropper. I got them off of Amazon for about 20 dollars. I know that sounds pretty steep for a cuticle oil. Essie’s Apricot oil is about $9 for 15ml, and e.l.f. has a decent pen for about $2, but the results Simply Pure gives are so worth the money.

   The oil itself is a blend of jojoba, olive, grape seed, vitamins A and E, and tea tree. Something about the oil lets it absorb amazingly into your skin AND the nail plate itself! It even penetrates through four layers of polish. When I put it on my bare nails for the first time, I rubbed it in and the oil was absorbed in a matter of minutes. I got the scent called “Crisp” and it’d quite lovely. I apply it about three times a day, and after I wash dishes or do anything else involving my hands being in water for a long time.

   Now for the results themselves! One thing I noticed was the fact that my nail polish cracked less when I was using it consistently over my mani. i think the oil really keeps the polish flexible on the nail itself. Before starting use of the product, I cut my nails down super short. Like almost right down to the beds. I can’t say necessarily that my nails have grown faster, but in about four months, my nails have grown about half an inch! Almost a half inch of free edge on my nails, way longer that I have every gotten them! They are also very strong and flexible. I have banged my nails of countertops, chairs and all manner of things that ordinarily would have caused a terrible chip or break, but not anymore! I have stopped removing ridges with a buffer, but the actual nail bed feels smoother despite this. After removing my nail polish, leaving the nails a bit dry, I can feel the ridges more distinctly, but once more oil is on, that disappears! The free edge of my nails have always been fairly clear. I have noticed that the newer parts of my free edge, just emerging from my nail bed, are slowly getting significantly whiter and more opaque than the older parts closer to the tip. I have never had this happen before, so if it continues growing that way I think it would be fairly safe to guess that this oil has something to do with it.

   I will say because it is more expensive, unless you want really long nails, I would go for something cheaper. Because the biggest sell is the strength and flexibility it provides, if you’re not planning on having your free edge grow very far beyond your fingertips, it may be a bit of a waste. Nevertheless, as a long nail enthusiast, I have found my HG cuticle oil!
