I sure wish this was around before I was in my 50s! There would have been many blemishes that went unsqueezed. My 11 year old (almost 12) daughter is using this in conjunction with Glossier Solution, and the combo is truly keeping her acne at bay. My middle son had to go on Accutane, and it was absolutely miserable for him. I want to try to keep my daughter from getting to that point. So far, you can barely tell she’s fighting acne, because she’s keeping on top of it. The Glossier products allow her skin to look beautiful, and help keep the redness down. If she gets too red, I have her discreetly apply Mario Badescu Healing Powder, (which my son still uses). I use Zit Stick every now and then, because even at almost 54 years old my skin doesn’t know it’s not supposed to break ou anymore. If I catch them right away, Zit Stick keeps cysts from enlarging, and makes them go away much faster than if they erupted fully. Zit Stick is a fast-working antimicrobial, and its gel-like texture and roll-on application makes it easy to target the eruptions without harming the healthy skin around them. My daughter, so far, is getting the pustules and whiteheads, and not cysts, so the Zit Stick is especially good for killing that bacteria on the outer layers of her skin. Hopefully the acids in Solution are getting to the lower layers to prevent deep cysts. I read a review of Zit Stick on Beautypedia that praised it, but also claimed Zit Stick leaves behind white marks on skin. While Benzoyl Peroxide is known to do that, in Zit Stick, it simply does not. I am medium-olive skinned, my daughter is light olive-skinned, and Zit Stick is completely invisible on us. In addition to not being white, it’s not crusty like most other Benzoyl Peroxide products; it’s a lightweight, smooth gel. The stainless steel roller ball is extra sanitary, because it keeps the bacteria from spreaking around during application. Ingenius, and effective. The little tube is a cute thing to carry around, making mid-day zit battling something fashionable, rather than embarassing. Another extremely well-thought -out, expertly formulated, above-and-beyond product from Glossier, for sure.
