For a facial mist this is slightly on the spendy side but it’s worth it! I don’t find that it makes my makeup last longer than usual although it does help it settle in and gets rid of any dry/cakey areas…and no surprise there, as it contains watermelon, hibisicus and most importantly: hyaluronic acid – a fantastic humectant, making this a great product for hydrating your skin – without leaving it shiny in any way, at least on me. The mist itself comes out very fine and smells delicious, like a light fruity watermelon (it’s not overpowering). In the bottle which is transparent you can see a darker layer on top which you have to shake first to ensure you get a unified color in there, before spritzing away. I have forgotten to do this a couple of times and it didn’t settle on my skin as well as normal. The packaging is simple, nothing fancy and it was surprisingly a bit smaller than I expected overall, however I do really like this, it’s refreshing, it’s hydrating and even doubles as a toner – something I do straight after cleansing on a night. Kept in the refrigerator this becomes even more soothing on my skin on warmer days…I can see this becoming a staple for me now that summer is approaching!

I love the smell of this spray, it has a nice fine mist and it feels very refreshing. However when I use this after makeup, and I am quite generous with it, it does not seem to melt the powder and everything together like MAC fix plus does. I find this to work best as refreshing spray on clean skin or just to feel cooling on your face during the day so I would re-purchase it for that.

For the most part I am really enjoying the new Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist. This refreshes skin and with the nice watermelon scent it gives me a boost of energy. The watermelon scent smells pretty natural and dissipates in about a minute. The first two ingredients in the Mist are watermelon extract and watermelon seed oil. This also contains fragrance, however, it is the very last ingredient so it won’t be an issue for most people unless you have very sensitive skin. The Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist is a fine mist, but I recommend priming the pump several times before spritzing it onto your face.
I prefer using the Watermelon Glow Mist after cleansing and toning. It gives skin an extra boost of hydration and hyaluronic acid. This doesn’t do much to extend makeup wear if you use it after applying makeup and foundation. If skin gets dry during the day applying a few spritzes of this seems to help hydrate skin a bit.
