I think this is what I have, but the packaging has changed a little or something. I bought these about a month ago (I haven’t been using it every day like you’re “supposed to” because my skin has been a little weird and I’ve had to simplify my skincare routine a few times), and I might repurchase if I don’t find something more promising. The price is a bit steep for something I found at the drugstore, though, so I’m on the fence.
These are weird, but not really in a bad way. The little drop things are not my favorite, but I kind of like them because they keep the product out of the light and from air exposure, which is pretty much always a good thing with serums I think. Just be careful because I had one squirt all over my sink one time when I wasn’t paying attention and got in a rush. For me, each capsule has enough product to completely cover my face (avoiding the eye area) and bring down my neck a little.
I like the texture, but it scared me the first time I used them because it feels very…it’s not quite greasy, but close. It’s hard to explain how they feel, but I guess it’s similar to silicone primers. Or maybe between a silicone primer and argan oil? Like I said, it’s difficult to explain the feeling. I have normal skin that can get a little dry or a little oily in some places, so I worried this was going to make my face greasy. But, it sinks in pretty fast and leaves my skin looking nicer, with a kind of subtle glow, I guess. But it doesn’t feel slick or anything like that to the touch, after it’s absorbed and dry.
I started using vitamin c containing serums in hopes of fading acne scars and hyperpigmentation. For that purpose, I think these are actually doing something. I still have a few of them left, but I’m actually pretty impressed by how my skin is looking. I’ve had a few pimples from hormones and a product that clogged my pores, and I think this (along with the retinol serum I use at night) helped the spots dry out faster, too. I wish I’d thought to take a before and after of the hyperpigmentation and scars, because there’s definitely a difference in just a month. I think I noticed the worst spots fading after just a week. My skin isn’t totally even, but spots I used to need concealer over are now faded enough for my foundation to easily cover (except the spots from my recent breakout).
I feel like this stuff can kind of work as a makeup primer, which is interesting and convenient, but I still use a different primer over it usually. (I think it works fine under a BB or CC cream, but for foundation, I like a real primer.) I think I’ve used them at night once or twice, but I’ve settled into using these in the morning, retinol at night, which I think is working out nicely for my skin.
The only thing I’m not a fan of is the smell. It’s not super strong, but I thought it might irritate my skin. So far it hasn’t, except one day when I used these without realizing my skin had a couple of already irritated spots (from a product I’d used the night before, I think), but for the couple of days it took those places to heal, everything was making my skin burn, so I won’t hold it against this stuff.
Bottom line: I might buy them again, I might not. It depends on what I find over the next week or so, but if I don’t find something I want to try more, I will most likely buy another jar.

I was worried about greasiness, but if you give it a few minutes, this stuff soaks in and is not at all greasy. You get a cool smooth feeling on your skin. I notice a small coloration difference as far as spots lightening. I’m hooked for now.

Maybe they could work for someone with bone dry skin, but anyone with even a hint of natural moisture needs to DROP these in the trash. Ugh. I have seen no improvement in my skin since I have begun using these, and they just seem to make my skin greasy. You absolutely should not attempt to use these if you plan on wearing makeup, that sh*t will slide all over the place. I tried using only at night but this stuff seems to make skin forever oily. I like the way the product feels initially going onto skin and besides some blackheads (which I never really get) I had no adverse skin reactions, those are the only good things I have to say about these things.

I used it 30 capsules and the result was really good.With BB serum it worked perfectly. One capsule before going to sleep and in the morning my skin was very smooth. Since there are silicones included, I cannot use it for a long time, because it affects my skin badly (breakouts, clogged pores). I also did not like the feeling after applying it. I was expecting moist result, but it was more like pure silicone. Smell was also not my favourite but tolearable. I think that after a couple of months i will buy this again, because the price and quality relationship is great.

I really like the packaging on this, I think the little opaque capsules are prefect for notoriously fickle Vitamin C. Wags had this and on other C serum, the other one had a lot of irritating ingredients and not a lot of C. Personally I don’t like how this feels when applied. It squeezes out of the capsule with a slightly thick gel like consistency. When rubbed on to the face it has a very powdery feel that dries very quickly. If you have ever used Benefit Porefessional, this has a very similar feel to that. After several days of continued use I developed a few bad pimples and a lot of clogged pores and stopped using it. This just isn’t the right product for my sensitive acne prone skin.

Today is the second day in my 28 day use of this product. I really enjoy the silky way my skin feels after using this. I’m not too big on the fact that so little comes in each drop. I’m going to continue using this product for the rest of the 28 day use, but after I’ll probably move on to something different.

I read some reviews on the Lumene beauty drops of vitamin C. I read how women are feeling obsessed about wrinkled skin. Some comments were too funny. Bottom line, aging is great. The opposite of aging is being dead, and really suffering from wrinkled skin, as in becoming totally dried up and turned into worms meat. Aside from that, I love my Lumene Vitamin C beauty drops. I’ve been using this straight for one month and just bought another round of the product tonight. My skin needs this product now. The lines I had from scowling and stressing even in my sleep, have softened so I don’t look so pissed off all the time. I don’t mid aging. I do mind the cracks in my face caused by stress, pain, and all the crap I’m exposed to in the environment. I also up my intake of vitamin C and power through daily snacks of tangerines, oranges, etc. I’m obsessed with these tangerines from Costco that come in an orange bag, and are tiny little tangerines. They’re called Caras. Soooo good! So delicious and so good for you. Anyway, I figure my face can use the extra help. I don’t mind looking older, but I do mind looking like a crone, so this product really helps with those thin annoying lines that are just not flattering to me. To heck what other people think. I do this for myself and leave it at that. Feeling good inside out is what I am striving for. I want my outside to look good, just as I want my insides to be healthy and look good.
Tis product is not that expensive and it’s lovely to put on, and has a wonderful soothing effect on me and my old soon to be FIFTY face. 😉

I can count on two fingers the number of products that soothe my irritated, sensitive skin, and this is one of them. For that reason alone it gets 4 stars. I cannot, however, testify to long-term results. I’ve used it multiple times but not consistently because, in spite of my ever-intensifying aging phobia, something seems to be missing on my x chromosomes that makes normal wrinkle-fearing women develop an actual skincare routine.
I generally use this like a finger down my throat after a day of skincare binging, and boy did I have a buffet of Sephora samples to feast on today! Unfortunately at the end of it, my face looked like that of a vodka-swilling crack ho. But just one of these little babies made all of the ugly go away. Instantly–and usually up until I have to reluctantly wash it off with some other irritation-inducing toxin peddled by the skin”care” industry. (Yes, I just put 3 kinds of “acid” on my face today. I am SUCH a self-loathing sheep 🙁
So, long story short(er)–if you too wantonly abuse yourself in the name of beauty because The Man wants you to buy more stuff in order to make yourself pretty enough to be loved, then these little gold nuggets are one of the better ways to spend the money that should be going into your Roth IRA. If you can get past the yellow ooze factor, they feel and smell pleasant–like a primer that just ran through a meadow of wildflowers in a white cotton sundress. They make my skin say “ahhhhh… Now go away and leave me alone, you stupid b!tch”. For a person with normal-ish skin, they’ll make you wonder, for a moment, why you bother with all those lotions and potions and concealers, cause YOUR skin looks GREAT! And then you’ll remember, and slink off to CVS for more little nuggets of pretty…

i was looking for a product that would give my skin that brilliant radiance i wanted. I was going to try Obagi vit. C products until i found out how expensive they were. I went to CVS and found Lumene Vit C drops and figured i would give it a shot. I really like the packaging (cute little drops) i love the texture of the product on my skin. It feels light and silky. I have been using it for about a week now and the only change i have noticed, as of yet is the tone of my skin seems a LITTLE more even. As for the brilliant glistening radiance i want, Not so much!!! i will finish out the jar, hope for the best and probably spend a small fortune for Obagi vitamin C which i have heard from my dermatologist, works wonders.

I’m trying this product as a replacement to Mary Kay’s C Serum (because it’s $30 cheaper). It’s a test run…tonight will be day 1. I’ll write back as days progress to let you know how things are going. My skin is typically a combo of dry/normal. I’m 38 and seeing fine line and wrinkles (dreaded!) so I’m hoping to see what improvements can occur so that I don’t run off for Botox!
