I’ve been looking for a vitamin c serum that’s available in Europe (I used a korean brand serum back when I lived in Asia) and I think this will be my go-to night serum.
I’ve been using this for over two weeks and I’ve already noticed that my skin tone is less dull and more even. I use one pump of this serum only at night over my Clinique toner and under pure argan oil. That’s it! When it gets drier in winter i’ll just apply some Avene cold cream on the top.
I think there’s just a very fresh citrusy fragrance that fades really quickly, not too sure why the other reviewers had issues with the smell. My sensitive skin didn’t act up with this (compared to Kiehl’s old vitamin C serum).

I am in my mid-50’s with normal to dry skin. I have very little in the way of wrinkles, but have large pores, uneven skin tone and sun damage spots here and there. I have been using this serum for 8 At first, I used one pump’s worth in the morning and one pump at night on my face only, but then started applying to my neck and chest as well, using two pumps. In the morning, I use Desert Essence toner and when that is soaked in, I apply the serum wth my fingers followed by sunscreen and moisturizer. At night, I exfoliate with a gentle scrub, then the same application process minus the sunscreen.
At first, I noticed the texture of my skin improving little by little. This was noticeable enough that I bought another bottle. This happened over a couple of months. After about 4 or 5 months, I noticed that my dark spots were fading. Now, at
8 months, my dark spots are a lot lighter and my complexion brighter. The wrinkles I do have are much softer. I finally realized that I can use half the amount of foundation on my face!
John Masters Vit. C Serum is the BEST beauty product I have ever used. I have to buy a new bottle when the previous bottle is half used because Whole Foods is often sold out of it.
It is important to note that Vit. C in the bottlecan degrade with exposure to light. That is why it is in a dark bottle. One should keep it in a drawer and always with the lid on to keep it from exposure to the air.
This product takes TIME to to reverse skin damage. Your patience will be rewarded!

Nice feeling on the skin. Heal my dry skin on winter, when I like to apply the product twice a day and really notice an improvement. Smells acidic by the way, but nothing that I can´t deal with.

It has taken me a long time to find an organic vit.c serum that does not irritate my skin and is effective. No serum will correct skin issues that have developed over years in a month or two. Just look to cosmetic procedures for that. This serum has improved all my skin issues quite a bit. I expect that with continued use things will improve more. My skin no longer has red rashy spots, milia, bumps under skin or dullness. I have a glow that people have commented on. Sun spots are fading and skin looks more even. I need less coverage and no longer need under eye concealer….my skin looks more resilient. I have used and disposed more c serums than I want to admit to. This one is a clear winner imho. I have now started to replace all my skin care with John Masters.

I like the smell and texture of this product. It smells absolutely delicious and goes on silky smooth. I do not see any active ingredients that would have any long-term effects. Although I enjoy using this product, which layers well under oil, I do not think that this warrants its price because it does not have the ingredients necessary to label it an “anti-aging” product. Bonus points that the ingredients are produced in a conscientious way.

I’ve been using this product for over a year. One bottle will last me between 4 and 6 months, but I usually replace it once I notice the smell changing (meaning it’s losing its potency). That happens around month #3.
I use it after cleansing in the morning and at night. I definitely feel it enhances the efficacy of my other facial products (both RX and OTC). It’s probably not something that you’re going to buy and use on its own and notice any big diff, BUT if you have a solid skin care routine in place already then this will definitely take you to the next level! Increased radiance, additional sun protection.
I love it, and won’t be without it.

Smells good and feels great going on, but also absorbs quickly. Worked well for me under a variety of moisturizers, especially in the summer and when I was in more humid climates.

I really wanted and thought this serum would work for me but it did give me couple of breakouts on my cheeks. It smells good, skins in very quickly not greasy at all but the breakouts suck..

Like other reviewers, I also wanted this to be my HG serum. A couple women at Whole Foods were raving about it and I loved the ingredients list: organic aloe as the base instead of water, 3 different forms of vitamin C (ascorbic acid polypeptide, acerola fruit, and ascorbyl palmitate), etc. I bought it to heal and lighten red scars on my cheeks from two big stress zits I’d had for a week that I feared would permanently scar.
I used this every night after cleansing for a month an a half. Unfortunately, it neither lightened the red marks nor seemed to heal the area. I gave it three lippies because it calmed my skin tone, sank in well, and smelled amazing (like blood oranges). But the mediocre results just don’t merit $30 for 1oz. Onto trying Dr. Alkaitis’s Organic Night Crème.

To be honest, I can’t really say that I noticed much of a difference with this serum. I have never used any product that gave me noticeable positive results (many negatives, though). However, when I use this regularly, my skin seems to look even and good. And I had no negative reactions to it whatsoever, and my skin is pretty sensitive. It does not provide enough moisture, so a cream afterward is a must for me, except maybe in the muggiest summer. Smells good, practical packaging. Will probably buy again. Lasts a long time, I’ve used mine for 6 months and still have a couple of months to go. SO likes to use it a lot, too.
