I was looking to add vitamin C to my routine and have always had good luck with Cosrx products. This has made the most dramatic change in the shortest time. I had a lot of postinflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) or brown spots after acne on my face. I also get redness around my nose and mouth. I started using this every night. Within a week most of my redness was gone and 3/4 if my PIH was gone. In 2 weeks I have one cluster of PIH left that very faint. So impressed.

One thing that has been a letdown with many, expensive vitamin c serums is how fast they oxidize. I’ve noticed this especially with Drunk Elephant, but also with SkinCeuticals, and Obaji. What I noticed with the COSRX Triple C Liquid Lightening is how fresh it was- very clear and slightly watery in consistency. So indeed their claims that they produce it in small batches appears to be true. This is a strong Vitamin C Serum, so if you have very sensitive skin, or haven’t used Vitamin C in the past I recommend beginning slowly and finding a good moisturizer or serum to mix this with before applying. I also recommend starting out using this every other or every third day until working your way up until your skin can tolerate daily usage of this alone.
This serum is also very pure, which I love, very few ingredients, but all beneficial ingredients and no fragrance or denatured alcohol. I found this to dry to a slightly tacky finish, and I’ve been using this mostly at night because of that. This has helped lighten some hyperpigmentation. The texture is very watery which makes applying it a little challenging without wasting some of the product. Overall this is an awesome and affordable vitamin C serum worth checking out. It’s watery with just the teeniest smidge of yellow tint against a white wall, so I believe very fresh. I usually use DE C-firma so I had to get the hang of application. I apply Vit C after p50 at night to help lighten sun spots and rebuild collagen. This stuff is strong at 20.5%, so probably not a great idea if your skin is sensitive. I follow with my Curology which has tret. My skin can handle all this. I have found it is lightening sun spots that have been persistent for almost a year now!! But I can’t use every day. When my skin is feeling a bit fed up with my actives, I’ll use the DE instead. But I’ve been using this about 5 times per week with great results. Hope that helps some.

I have quite a few acne scars – some are brown or red pigmented scars and others are ice pick scars. I specifically had an open wound acne scar on my chin that had been there for a couple of days. I’ve tried using other treatments on it which helped a little, but right after receiving the Triple C Lightning Liquid, I decided to switch to using this. I will say, putting it directly on the scar stung a little, but the next day, I saw that it was healing! After just one application and leaving it overnight, it was almost no longer an open scar and just a red mark. After 2-3 days of applying the liquid on my scar, it has fully healed. I noticed that some of the old acne scars on my skin are starting to fade, as well. My ice pick scars are still the same, and I’m not sure that it’s made a difference in my skin otherwise, but I know that this has helped even my skin tone and cleared up some of the blackheads on my nose, reducing the appearance of my pores.
Disclaimer: I am also using other products in my skin routine, but I can credit the Triple C Lightning Liquid to giving me the quickest results.
Other things to know: It has a very runny consistency, and after applying it to the skin, I felt that it left a matte finish on my face. I also keep it refrigerated as recommended in the in-depth review on the klog.

UPDATE 6/20/2017: I had to stop using this due to irritation breakouts. It also made my skin very dry and flaky. I think it’s possibly too high of a percentage for my sensitive skin or maybe something else in it annoyed my skin. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice any brightening effect while using it. Highly recommend keeping it refrigerated.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: These are just my initial impressions of this product after 2.5 weeks of use. I will update after I’ve given it more time.
My skin is oily/dehydrated, sensitive/reactive, very acne prone.
This is the new vitamin C serum from Cosrx that is currently exclusive to Soko Glam. The main ingredients are 20.5% ascorbic acid (vitamin c) and 72% black chokeberry extract, which is an antioxidant that supposedly helps to stabilize the vitamin c. This serum has a water-like consistency with a slight “glycol slip,” not nearly as oily/slippery feeling as the CSI vitamin serum. It sinks in faster but still has a tackiness to it (absorption time could also depend on skin type). I noticed a burning/tingling sensation the first few times I applied it. So far, I don’t notice any results… not that I expect immediate results. I know results take time, but for example, with the CSI and other vitamin C serums I’ve used, I notice my skin starts to look glowy after a few days of use. I don’t notice that with the Cosrx. I’ve only been using it two weeks, but it makes my skin skin dry/flaky rather than glowy and fresh. I use it in the morning, but they recommend that it be used at night so I’ll try it at night as well. It is also recommended that this serum be stored in the refrigerator and used within 2-3 months of opening. They also warn that a sediment could occur around the rim and bottom of the bottle. I’m assuming they mean crystallization of the vitamin c.
