ive only recently switched to this serum after using the original buffet for a few years now and ive been enjoying it so far. it makes my face more radiant and feel healthier and doesnt dry out the skin at all. the product itself has a very thin liquid-y texture like the original and sinks right in after you apply it to your face. it’s effective yet very cheap compared to most skincare products out there so i’m definitely repurchasing.

I was using this at night followed by TO retinol and kept breaking out. After a quick look at product conflicts I moved it to my morning regimen and it’s been great!
According to TO site you shouldn’t use this with a retinol product at the same time but either end of the day is fine. I would highly recommend seeking out the table showing product conflicts if you use a lot of TO products like me.
I have skin which is very prone to blocked pores but now it’s fine. My skin texture is noticeably improved and glowy, I’ll carry on and see what happens!

My skin: 41, normal/combo/dry with some redness and large pores. Prone to acne and dehydration, but mostly clear and well-behaved now, bar the occasional hormonal pimple. No wrinkles to speak of, yet.
Sadly, this breaks me out and I’m passing it on to a friend, who loves it. I was very intrigued by the copper peptides, I did feel like the Buffet may have helped to calm irritation somewhat. But it also gave my the typical kind of small, scattered whiteheads I get when a product breaks me out, so it’s not for me. I may try the Niod product with copper peptides at some point.
Clearly, this works very well for a lot of people, though, and the ingredients are solid. It just doesn’t agree with my skin.
It is worth noting that I have used up a bottle of their Matrixyl 10% serum and liked it, though, so if this breaks you out, but you still want an affordable peptide serum, that one is worth a shot. It did not break me out. I also did not see dramatic results with it, but I have pretty good skin, so I’m mostly interested in prevention and general firming. I don’t even know what dramatic results would look like on my skin, realistically, and I may repurchase it.
In general, The Ordinary have been a bit hit and miss for me, but I really like the brand.
One of their products is the one that effectively cleared my acne – the 10% Azelaic Acid, which I stockpile, because it works so well for my skin that I’m afraid of running out. It’s not perfect, but I love what it does for me. I depend on it.
A few others are nice products that I enjoy and repurchase, like the Natural Moisturizing Factors, their granactive retinoid 5% and the squalane.
Quite a few have caused breakouts: this one, the niacinamide and the ascorbyl glucoside serum, so far. I think there’s something in some of their serum bases that my skin doesn’t like, but I can’t pinpoint what it is. It may be some of the active ingredients too, those three products don’t share a lot of ingredients.

I bought this serum to use on days/nights when I’m not using retinol or vitamin C. My skin can get dry when I only use retinol/vitamin C so I like to give it a rest every other day. On those days, I like to use some type of hydrating serum to nourish and soothe my skin. I saw a review that said that this was a great accompaniment to retinol to prevent irritation, and this is also marketed as an anti-aging type of serum so I thought it would be perfect, and it is.
This is exactly what my skin needs on those off days. It gives me the extra hydration and soothing properties I am looking for, and has anti-aging ingredients to supplement the retinol. It is a viscose blue liquid, and it spreads and absorbs easily. It smells kind of like glue, which is not very pleasant, but the scent goes away. It does not clog my pores or irritate my skin. I don’t think anything we put on our skin can really turn back time, but I think it can help it look its best at the current moment. I think that retinol renews my cells, the vitamin C helps to brighten, and this one helps to hydrate and plump. The combination makes my skin look fresh, bright, and full.
The packaging is a simple dropper bottle, which I find appropriate for this serum. The price of this is significantly higher than most other products from this brand, but it is still significantly less than a serum from any other brand. I think it is well worth the price, and will definitely repurchase.

I have almost used up this entire bottle! This is saying a lot for me because I am constantly flitting around trying new skincare stuff. I am not sure what is so great about this, but I just think I look so much “better” when I am using it. I think this is TO’s most expensive product, but it seems well worth it to me. I use after essence and mixed with Tosowoong green tea brightening treatment before my sunscreen. Will buy again when this runs out.

I got this to heal my skin, in case I overdo it with TO’s direct acids/vitamin C. I have not experienced redness or flaking from using all the exfoliants, so I think it is working. Update: My skin hates this. I wake up to redness, clogged pores. & little pimples on occasion when I use this. I don’t think I noticed what it was doing when I used it after direct acids because my skin was already irritated from the exfoliation. Not for me.

I have purchased the original Buffet several times, and now using this version with Copper. I have combo skin that easily breaks out from most topical moisturizers and treatments, but this one doesn’t. Helps hydrate my skin, no breakouts, great price. It’s a holy grail product.

I adore this! It’s my best preferred product from the line and even if it the most expensive they sell (retails for Eur 36, which is on the higher end for this line, known for their very affordable prices) I will buy this forever.
This serum is like a drink of water for my skin and it has a profound effect immediately, my overall skin tone is much more even and bright.
That’s my skin’s morning staple diet. Goes on like silk and very hydrating.
It has a strange blue /violet strange colour to it and the consistency is gel like, however it is easy to apply and control, you just need one drop for your whole face. Not olily, it sinks in and can be layered with other serums or moisturizers.
This serum is absolutely amazing!
