I love this product so much. After reading about it, I wanted to try it to brighten my skin up and after ordering it, was half hoping that it wouldn’t work so I wouldn’t have to add yet another staple to my regime (had been trying to pare it down). However, it is awesome. I love the texture, how it is like a super thin oil that makes my skin soft and hydrated and absorbs quickly. It is light enough to wear during the day and has markedly improved the radiance of my skin – I got many compliments after finishing the first bottle and felt the brightening effects within the first few days of using it. One of my very favourite The Ordinary products.

I like using this product. I always want to incorporate a vitamin c product into my skincare routine but many serums feel sticky and tacky to me. This one is a dry oil that absorbs pretty quickly and doens’t interfere with my makeup or other skincare. I can leave it out when I feel like I don’t need it and I feel like since I”ve started using it, my skin is a bit brighter and smoother.

I like this product. Using this, I got similar results to Sunday Rilay CEO serum which also has tetra C. I find that pure ascorbic acid solutions give an instant glow, while tetra C improves sagging skin more quickly. Everytime I use something that has high percentage of tetra C, my pores look less apparent. Coming back to this serum, it is oily and deposits a sheen on the face but it is not really very moisturizing. I think it is suitable to use sandwiched between a watery serum and sunscreen/light moisturizer.

This is one of the most effective products of The Ordinary line.
I am always on the hunt for a good vitamin C based serum, and this one proves to be very stable.
It is oily, so you will control it very well (generally Vitamin C serums are runny and you end up using too much) but is does take forever to get absorbed. I use it in the evenings only (no way to have this thing working under foundation) and I layer it with the B5 hyaluronic serum, they work well together.
So far so good: I have been using it on and off (=not every night) for month now and the results are promising: my hyperpigmentation spots are doing better!
A good, very reasonably priced prodcut that performs and will not deceive.

It was highly effective for me – brightening my skin and reducing hyperpigmentation the first time out. I liked how it applied so easily as well. Holy grail, I thought. And then came the acne – huge, cystic zits (which I haven’t had in years thanks to BHA), in areas I’ve never broken out. I think the problem is the coconut alkanes, which, turns out, can be highly acnegenic.
In short, if you don’t break out, this could be a 5-lippie product. For me, I tossed it.

This is my favorite Vit C from The Ordinary. (The 23% suspension + HA spheres actually gives the most powerful brightening effect, but it’s better to use at night. This one is easy to use day or night.) It has a light consistency, no burning for me, and it goes well with all my other products. I top this off with The Ordinary Resveratrol + Ferulic Acid and I get something even better than Skinceuticals CE+Ferulic for a mere fraction of the cost. Love this stuff!

I’ve tried many of The Ordinary’s Vitamin C Products and many of them work well but are unpleasing aesthetically- some leave a grainy feeling on the skin and others leave skin feeling tacky after applying them. The Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate Solution 20% in Vitamin F is probably the most aesthetically pleasing of all their Vitamin C products, although it does leave skin feeling very slightly tacky, but not nearly as much as other c serums. If you have very dry skin this is a good option, although the form of Vitamin C isn’t as immediately effective for brightening or helping with hyperpigmentation, but this does help in the long run. This did cause a breakout the first time I used this, but no issues after that. I’m guessing its the coconut alkanes and the squalane. I would recommend starting out slow if you have sensitive skin or acne prone skin. I love that this is fragrance free and does not contain denatured alcohol. Nice and hydrating option. I’m going to go against the grain and state that I’m not a fan of this product. I have aging dry skin, i have sun damage and wrinkles and i rarely get breakouts. This product really just did nothing for me. It leaves a greasy residue that takes a little while to soak into my skin and I didn’t notice any difference before and after using it. I use other serums from The Ordinary, them i like, this I’m just ‘meh’ about. I used it as a serum between cleansing and before moisturiser, it didn’t upset the moisturiser but it did prevent some moisturisers from drying down which annoyed me. I used up the entire bottle but because i really didn’t see any visible difference in my skin from using it i will not repurchase.

I really really like this product. I am usually very sensitive to Vitamin C but this formulation worked perfectly on my combination skin. I was scared that it would break me out because it is an oil but it absorbs really well into the skin leaving no greasy residue afterwards.
How I use it:
After I have used the hyaluronic acid from the same brand and waites a few minutes for it to sink I then use around 4 to 5 drops of this and pat it on my face and neck. After 15 min I place spf in the am and moisturizer in the pm. Done!
After only two weeks of use I do notice that my skin tone is more even and glowing!. Definetly would repurchase!

This is one of my favorite vit c products ever.
It sinks right in, it doesn’t break out my oily skin, it does a good job at brightening and evening the skin tone, the price is awesome, you only need up to 3 drops per use, what’s not to like?
It is also very moisturising, so in the summer I use this at night and nothing else after that.
I pair it with the Resveratrol serum of the same brand.
