   I got this product from a giftbag after attending a local busines women talk/gathering. The giftbag had other goodies but this product was the thing that made it worth the $90aud entry ticket. What it does to my face – I’m not too sure of but what I do know is that every single one of my female friends said I glow, and of course I notice that it’s only for the days I have this product on. My daily serum is Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and my moisturiser is Nivea Daily Essential Light Moisturising cream which is a combo that I’ve been using for YEARS. I’d usually put on Benefit Primer and then Giorgio Armani Luminious foundation with a beauty blender. All those time I’ve worn this combo without the EA Superstart Booster, nothing – nada – from anyone. Day one and until now, it’s “oh you’re glowing..!!” So it must be it. Bonus: recently I’ve also run out of my Benefit primer and with the booster, the foundation doesn’t seem to need it if I have the EA booster on.

   To be perfectly honest I don’t know what to make of this product. I received a few samples packets of this and according to the directions you are to apply it before your serum and moisturizer. The idea is that it is supposed to “boost” these products effectiveness on your skin. How exactly it would do this, I don’t know. It does contain some some really good ingredients but seems like an added, unnecessary step in a skin care routine that already includes a hydrating serum. As expected, this is expensive and I can’t say it’s worth the price – at least not to me – but if you do not currently use a serum and are in the market for one, an expensive one, this is an option.

   Did nothing to my skin. The only plus is that it is lightweight.

   I usually pick my skincare based on proven active ingredients so at the outset this seemed to be another additional product which was filled with empty promises. This does something and does indeed make everything else I use work better, it makes it more cosmetically elegant, if anything. I tend to use a lot of pared back, active ingredient only stuff so this was a welcome addition. Skin is smoother, more hydrated and it just looks better. I would never usually even try this but I got a free sample. I mix this with things that are a little too harsh on their own or too drying and it works great. I’m on the 3rd bottle now. Love the little on-off switch at the back so you can travel safely without it pumping product out. Try a sample, I’m sure you will be pleasantly supposed, as I was! A similar Shiesiedo product, Ultimune was no where as good as this.

   Really improves the skin or effect of the skincare I’m using. It is meant to be a primer (before serum and moisturiser) so it is an additional cost to incur in the skincare regime, so not very cost economical. I would probably ditch the serum and use this in place of it instead.

   So this is basically a product that you apply before your serum and moisturizer to boost their effect. I’ve been using it without a serum and it’s kind of hard to say exactly what it does but it does SOMETHING to my skin! It’s supermooth and feels very moisturizing without getting the least bit greasy or fat (it’s almost mattifying and moisturizing at the same time) and is supposedly also a protectant from enviromental stuff. It kind of feels like a primer on the face in the sense that it kind of smoothens out your face and pores before applying a moisturizer. I just feel more soft and my dry skin never feels tight or dry during the day which is a major plus for me. Smells nice and actually makes my skin look more radiant. The price though, what can I say… If you can afford it – go for it.
