I was initially not attracted to this product. When it comes to serums, I tend to gravitate toward medspa type brands, Paula’s Choice, even some mom and pop shops who have great ingredients in measurable strengths. Basically – companies that know skin, and make it their primary business. I’ve picked up a couple of sephora store brand items that I liked, but was wary of a facial serum. I started using it nightly just to use it up. I wasn’t expecting much (other than milia, which I get from everything). After a couple of weeks, I realized I had been having a lot of good skin days. It was glowy, lines were plumped, and my skin felt young and fresh. I was sold! Except I couldn’t buy it because they stopped making it!? By previous reviews, it looks like Sephora has pulled this with this product before – get you hooked then take it away. Shame – I could see this becoming HG. I’d like to snap it up when it becomes available again, but if they put this out only every few years, I’ll most likely I’ll be onto something else.

This product deserves more reviews REALLY…which is why I signed up to give my first review. It started out with a sample bottle from Sephora, and then I’m sold!
I mixed 3 drops of this into my daily cream moisturizer, which is enough to cover my entire face and neck. The serum absorbs well into my skin, doesn’t cause breakouts (I have dry skin) and it gives that nice glowing result on my skin. My BB cream tends to stay longer too. I’m still in my mid-20s, and I’ve yet to see new fine lines forming and I’m hoping it’ll help to slow down my aging process in the long run.
I’m almost done with my first bottle (lasted me around 6 months), and already stocked up my second. I’m hoping Sephora will never ever discontinue this (since they have a habit of doing that to less well-received products)
I love the press-pump-bottle design but it does gets a little difficult to get the serum out when it’s almost finishing. Nonetheless, it’s affordable and I will definitely repurchase.

I bought this on a whim, based on another MUA’er raving about it on the m/u board (I think her review is one of the one’s below mine). I’ve had it 2+ weeks now and have been using it religiously every day as my first moisturizing step in my skincare. I was really afraid it might break me out (I have dry/combo skin and have horrible pores AS WELL as having to start worrying about lines and aging and all that jazz).
Well, it hasn’t broken me out at all, it absorbs into the skin really quickly and a little goes a long way, so it’s a great value (it already is fairly inexpensive for a great skincare item). I love the purple glass bottle and the eyedropper-style dispenser inside–you get just the right amount of product. Don’t let the term ‘oil’ scare you…this is a serum/oil and is non-comedogenic–you do feel like it’s nourishing your skin rather than smothering it. It leaves my face looking smooth and glowy—whether I am applying makeup that day, or not. And my face feels so velvety smooth. This is so good, I want a backup bottle! I really hope they don’t discontinue this!
**Will repurchase!

Let me start off my saying I have combination skin which is prone to acne so I’ve always been hesitant on trying face oils. I finally decided to try this because it fit my budget and I was looking for a new skin care routine. The first time I tried it, my skin felt super hydrated (which was very much needed because of the cold weather) and the oil was super light weight, and absorbed nice and quick.
The next day I put the oil on before my moisturizer and followed with my make up routine and WOW! My face had such a nice GLOW to it! I couldn’t stop staring in the mirror! lol
It’s been 2 weeks now and my skin looks and feels great, has NOT broke me out! and my laugh lines have diminished.
Without a doubt it will my HG!

Edit 8/1/2015:
I have been informed by Sephora that this product has been discontinued and it seriously makes me want to scream! I finally find a product of this type that I love, and it gets the axe…I just don’t get it…reviews were very positive…maybe it’s an ingredient or production problem?
I was told they would sell the remaining stock in stores but that’s it…I just wanted to add this in case you recently purchased this and fell in love with it like I did, or in case you are contemplating a purchase (if you are fortunate enough to find one). I am beyond bummed about this. What the heck, Sephora????
This oil-serum is proof positive that price has nothing to do with the effectiveness of a product. A self proclaimed queen of expensive skincare fails, I’m so used to things not delivering that I always start using products with ZERO expectations…this little gem blew me away!
I chose it as a Sephora reward one day on impulse because I was in the market for a new face oil. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized it was an oil-serum but I decided I had nothing to lose and gave it a try. It isn’t quite moisturizing enough for me when used alone, but I immediately noticed that I needed less moisturizing cream when i used the oil-serum underneath. I also noticed an immediate improvement in the softness of my skin which is a tall order during the winter months. With steady twice daily usage (morning and night), I began to see an improvement in my skin’s luminosity and overall texture, it also looked healthier and more “plump”…but it was when I looked closely in the mirror one day after about 3 weeks of use that I was totally floored. The fine lines and crepe-yness that had begun to show around my cheeks/nasolabial folds, were gone. NOTHING I had previously tried skincare-wise had worked for those trouble areas. Even the exorbitantly priced concoctions that promised miracles never made the slightest improvement in those areas. I couldn’t believe it…I began inspecting my face daily to make sure it wasn’t just good lighting or a fluke! It was true…my skin actually looks better all around, and I couldn’t happier or more grateful!!
Just a little abridged backstory…I’m no spring chicken, and years of tanning, no sunscreen, and smoking, have taken their toll. Although I’ve been off the cigs and sun for a looong time now, the damage was ready done and when I hit 35, time marched right across my face with combat boots and some recent health issues aggravated things even further. I’ve spent years trying to counter these signs of aging without going the “procedure” route, and I can honestly say I’m feeling better about my skin than I have in a long long time because of this product. Does it banish deep creases or sagging? No. Nothing will short of more drastic measures…but it’s definitely helping fine lines, crepe-y areas, moisture retention, luminosity, and the overall appearance and softness of my skin.
After toning, I mist my face very very lightly with water, pat this oil-serum all over my face and let it absorb, top with regular serum, then my day or night cream (mixed with a few drops of face oil in winter).
2 drops is plenty, even for my super dry winter skin, but I do have some difficulty getting it to absorb completely if I accidentally use too much. It smells lovely, sinks in quickly, and saves me tons of $$ on my face creams because I don’t need nearly as much now.
I just wish it came in a pump…I’m so clumsy! Although I do understand the dropper delivery as it allows one to customize the amount they need without wasting product.
Kudos Sephora…you’ve made me take a look at a line of skincare I probably never would have otherwise! I’ve since begun using the Super Loaded Age Defy Serum and the Age Defy Night Cream from the same line (purple packaging), I’m saving a ton of money AND getting results…suffice it to say I am thrilled!! Thumbs way up!!

This is the first anti-aging serum I have tried. I recently turned 29 and am starting to become concerned about my forehead lines so I wanted to start some sort of preventative treatment. I bought this one because it has very good reviews, no retinol (which I think will be too severe for my skin type) and was pretty much the cheapest of this type of product from Sephora (I had a store credit) at $28 for an ounce.
The bottle is nice. Glass, good looking branding on it, with an eye dropper that is super functional and well chosen to dispense the product.
The serum is a bit oily, which, duh, it’s an oil serum. I would use it in between face wash and moisturizer at night on my forehead. I used about half an eye-droppers worth and just rubbed it in. It took a fair bit of time to absorb. No odd smells to this or immediate irritation (burning, stinging, etc.).
I can’t attest to it’s anti-aging powers, sadly, because I only used it for three days before my skin reacted to it. I can’t tell if my forehead broke out or just has a little rash, but this made a bunch of little red bumps pop up and also made my forehead turn pink. It didn’t itch or feel irritated but it definitely didn’t look right. I can’t tell if it did anything as far as improving my skin in some other way, but it would be nuts to think it could have a positive impact that quickly. My skin is sensitive and acne-prone, however (lucky me!), so others may not have the same reaction. I discontinued use.

Love love love! I got just a sample from Sephora with my bonus rewards but I must say I will go back and buy this fully!!! I’ve been using for about a month and I loved the results from the very beginning. I have oily skin but this moisturizes my skin fully and actually keeps my skin from over oiling. I noticed how smooth my skin felt and still feels. Just a natural glow! I love it!!!
