I’ve already reviewed the moisturizer in this line and loved it; this treatment is basically a water based version of it that.
PROS: Same, really nice looking, really functional packaging. Definitely water based and thin, but not runny at all. And despite the negative qualities, my skin looks nicer ~in photos only~ when I use this. I know it sounds strange and dumb, but in real life, in the mirror it looks like it didn’t do anything.
CONS: This mildly irritates my skin. The first time I used it, I got a stye the next morning (and it was a painful one at that). Plus, my eyelid looked a little swollen. I’ve since confirmed that yes, this product makes my eye a tiny bit swollen. It’s weird because I can counteract it some by using a good eye cream, and it only affects my sensitive eye area. The rest of my face doesn’t get red or breakout or feel terrible. Even my eye doesn’t look particularly irritated, but I can tell by the size of it that it’s irritating. Also, this shit is just NOT hydrating. It absorbs SO quickly too, holy crap. I would be worried my hands would absorb all of this if I applied it I spread it out and tried to pat it in. I put on 3 pumps which looks like a lot of product – where does it even go!
OVERALL: I so wanted to love this! No idea why it acts strangely and doesn’t seem to perform like the moisturizer, but you might like it if you want a supremely light essence or serum.
