This just didnt work for me. I’ve used three bottles and gave it a good go. I was really hoping it would replace my more expensive serums (SkinMedica). While this Collagen Serum didn’t cause me any problems, I also didn’t notice any positive impacts.
I’ve tried a number of Skin Actives products over the past year. I know they have a cult following – supposedly great products for a low price (i.e., straight to consumer, no huge marketing budgets, good ingredients without filler, etc). I’ve had the same experience with all their products I’ve tried. They are okay, but I just don’t see the impact I do with other brands. The packaging also isnt great as it tends to leak, especially when traveling.
While the Serum didn’t work for me, it seems to work for others. It’s inexpensive and they run sales/specials, so it’s worth trying, if you are interested.

Huge disappointment! Probably this is the last product I buy online without testing.
I can’t say anything about it’s performance, because it smells like an animal farm or a zoo on hot day. You know what I’m talking about…
I put it on my face and had to rinse right after. Smell was unbearable. Tried it again on my hand, let it dry. Smell din’t go away after couple of hours, and my skin surface stayed sticky.
One of the worst products I ever tried! To the trash it goes!
P.S. There is no way I can write review on company’s website. Doesn’t look honest to me…

For skin that is:
– abused by acids/overexfoliated
– sensitive
– thin/dry/crepey
I love this stuff! My skin drinks it and it looks thicker, though I don’t think it does a lot for wrinkles. I didn’t realize what a difference it was making till I ran out 🙁
The active ingredients are pretty amazing. Don’t know how they’ve managed to stay under the radar.
This should be a part of anyone’s routine.

My first review here. As a long term beauty addict who has always looked after my skin I am now changing my routine/products to find products which plump the skin, help fight aging and give me that smooth creamy glow. My skin has NEVER been smooth or uniform in colour/texture. Adult acne has left scars on my chin and my nose has black heads even with daily sacilic acid wash/gel. I have been using this for 2 weeks in combination with cleansing with my (new) clarasonic and retinol night cream. Not noticed any scent to it at all. There is a 100% improvement in the clarity of my skin, less redness, no- not even one breakout. The skin is plumper looking and the crepey lines I hate ( on my chin) are softened. Store cold in the fridge and only using at night. Time to add it to mornings on the days I don’t wear make up. The consistency is too sticky to wear under make up IMO.

I have stubborn sensitive skin that does not respond to many anti-aging cream out there. But within using this serum in one week, I started to notice my skin feeling smoother and even plumping out somewhat. I only apply this at night right now but I might consider applying it in the morning as well. It consistently gives me smooth skin when I wash it off in the morning. The wrinkles on my nose between my eyes have become less visible as well. I’ve been using this for 2 months now. Excited to update this review in 6 months or so.

I’ve been using this serum for three years now and it’s incredible. The whole brand is amazing. My routine:
Morning:
Cleanse with Salicylic Wash
Tone with Ascorbic Acid crystals mixed with tap water
Moisturize with UV Repair Cream
Night:
Cleanse with DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (not Skin Actives product, although they do have an oil cleanser)
Collagen Serum
Moisturize with Vitamin A Cream (Twilight Awakening)
My skin is fair, sensitive and prone to redness. I used have several scaly, flaky patches of dry skin and the occasional blemish. I have used many mid-high end products with no consistent luck and no changes to the core issues. After switching to Skin Actives my skin is soft, healthy, less red, NO scaly/flaky patches (I cannot emphasize that enough), and fewer blemishes. This is pure magic for me.
The science behind their ingredients is well supported and the proof is in my pudding soft skin. I’m almost forty and I sometimes get carded buying alcohol.
Make the switch. You will not regret it.

This is one of the HG products that transformed my skin (so much so that when my family saw me in for the first time ~10 months, all of them commented on how my skin looked great).
Packaging, application, texture, smell, product:
-Packed with an amazing combination of actives, vitamin c, l-carnosine, hyaluronic acid, EGF, sea kelp and more.
-The new version is clear and doesn’t oxidize(?) as the previous version did. Another upgrade is the texture , it used to be pretty gritty but the new version resolved that.
-It absorbs well but feels a little sticky after application if you happen to use more than a few drops covering the whole face.
-The smell is ok, I actually like that the majority of skin actives products doesn’t have fragrance.
-LMC along with the other products in the line is formulated by scientist with legit credentials (outside of cosmetics), Prof. Hanna Sivak.
-One lippie off since packaging could be better.

I have been using this product for over two years now and my husband has been using it for about one year. We have seen good results. We are both 71 and we are holding the wrinkles and collapsed facial features at bay. I just wish we had discovered this serum earlier. We are not turning back the clock, but we are holding on to where we are. We do not look our age, I believe, and this serum has definitely played a part in keeping our skin looking good.
It comes in a plain bottle and is reasonably priced. It must be refrigerated. I even use it on my eyelids with good results and no irritation. It does not promise miracles, it just provides results.
If you are really serious about preventive anti-aging skin care, check out this little indie company. They are the real deal.

I’m on my second bottle of this. I have definitely seen marked improvement in my skin using LMC serum. The first bottle I got was there new formulation, but it was still oxidizing to a darker & darker brown as I used it. The new batch I just opened is crystal clear. they assured us that it’s still the same formula, it’s just been stabilized. Let’s hope! I also love the lip collagen serum. My lips are smooth & hydrated & the pigmentation in them looks very youthful (like in my twenties) after just 3 days of use.

I have used this product for several years. I use it twice a day right after washing my face. It is extremely soothing and leaves my face feeling silky; not greasy in any way and not tight — just incredibly smooth. It is very reasonably priced. I recommend it for any age, but it is especially great for the over 40 crowd or anyone trying to reduce the signs of aging. Try it!
