Incredible stuff.
just to tell you, i had a surgery on my face, and the scar was fine , but at one side of the scar it looked like a bump of skin and it was very noticeable and ugly . i thought i would have to live that way forever .
but then i already had rosehip oil at home , and i knew what it could do to scars. so i put very small amount on the bump. and waited. then i felt the skin become all ‘peelable’, then in my instincts i started scratching the bump with my nail and it was bleeding somewhat and , magically , the skin was peeling off !!
then once i done that , i left my skin to heal and it took some days for the skin to heal properly , then once all healed , magically there was no bump anymore ! that thing can be fantastic for nasty scars !

I’ve gone through two different bottles of rosehip oil over a period of six months hoping that would be enough time to see some noticeable effects.
I found that it moisturized ok but did nothing for my hyperpigmention or wrinkles. I think my skin texture did get a bit better but taht was probably due to a bunch of other products I’ve been using. I’ve stopped using it and haven’t missed it in my routine.

Complete believer in this. It seems to do everything; normalises, refines, soothes after a day battling the elements, feels just beautiful, slick and soothing massaged into the skin after cleansing etc. I undertook a deliberate experiment rubbing this into my battered farming, gardening, horse riding, beach surfing old Australian hands and it categorically has refined and replenished as no other treatment. I have used Trilogy and Sukin available in Australian health shops. The Sukin I have at the moment is a really lovely dark coloured and richly oily dank smelling elixer. I smear it all over my face, neck, hands, eyes. I have indulged in everything over the years…well, don’t waste your hopes on snake oil in a jar; organic rosehip oil is unbeatable.

I received this as a gift. And since my beloved La Mer Soft Lotion is out, I thought why not give this a go. I am also on an all-natural kick and researched the rejuvenating properties of rosehip oil with a lot of excitement. I wear this at night or when at home as it does leave a slightly oily residue on the face it is after all an oil. I use 2 drops for my entire face, and a little bit more that I massage on and around my lip area (I am almost 40 and it’s pretty much time I start focusing on this part of my face). My eyes are slathered with another type of oil, which is pure frankincense. I have used this combo regimen consistently for almost a month and though I can’t say my eye area is much improved with the frankincense, the rest of my face is glowing and very soft in the morning. I dare say that it performs *almost* as well as La Mer and that is saying a lot. In fact, I am going to use this exclusively for a while. It smells somewhat like fish oil but not as pungent – this does not bother me at the least because I hate fragrance in products for the face. I am pretty sure there will be users triggered by this almost-fishy smell. But, I am seriously in love and looking forward to update this review with visible results on my old acne scars and overall pigmentation. EDIT: After 1+ month of solid daily use, I need to let this go. It is a pore-blocker for my forehead and my nose, usually smooth-pored, was filled with whiteheads (forehead) and blackhead gunk (nose). I had to treat it with chemical exfoliant.

I have extremely sensitive skin. Acne-prone with acne scars, rosacea and prone to breakouts. This is the first product I have ever used that didn’t break me out and ruin my skin for months. I had cleared most of my acne with a benzoyl peroxide cream (acnecide) and had tried absolutely everything to get rid of scars. Each product failed and broke me out and left me dejected. This product is amazing, Cleared up most of my scars AND acne within a month and leaves skin soft and glowing and healthy. I could not recommend this enough.

ohhhh how i wanted to like this! i’ve been using oils for quite some time, mostly argan…which works well for me. i have normal skin usually, that can be prone to oiliness in the summer and drier in the winter….also can be very acne prone if the wrong things are used. I’m 41, so my acne issues are a lot less than they were, but using this made me break out badly. one in fact was cystic. it was so huge and painful. i did start out with a different rosehip oil actually, then switched to this, thinking the breakouts would get better. unfortunately not. i gave it about a month. i’m back to argan, and my skin is healing.
it is way too bad, because this oil is really great. feels great, has awesome antioxidants etc….made my face feel and look really good, aside from the breakouts. i highly recommend if your skin likes it. but use caution if you’re acne prone, or have fussy skin.

I started using this because my skin was in an awful state with dryness, redness and texture issues, within a couple of days of using it y skin was sorted out. I then stopped using it for a couple months for no reason other than I was trying out different products and forgot about it, it had done such a good job of making my skin normal for such a long time, I forgot how much it was helping me.
Ive recently noticed big changes in my skin due to aging and moderate roscea getting worse, I decided to buy some very expensive products from a skin clinic after a consultation, the products that I was recommended and bought – although very good at clearing my skin, were drying it out to the point were my cheeks had wrinkles, every time I smiled my skin would wrinkle up like an old lady and my skin is so sensitive it was left bright red. I had been trying different moisturizers to no avail until browsing in the chemist the other day I picked up a bottle of trilogy rose hip oil. My skin is finally back to normal again, the redness is gone, the rosacea is cleared up and my fine lines are not as noticeable as my skins hydrated after using this product.
Ive heard horror stories about this oil giving people acne but luckily that isnt the case for me, ive very sensitive skin and have had nothing but positive results from using this oil.

I’m giving this oil a 5 star review for a different reason. My 9 months old drank almost half of it and he was fine! I didn’t know how dangerous drinking oil could be until came across a news of a toddler almost dying because of drinking baby oil. It did not do anything noticeable to my skin so later I moved on to another oil, but I realised this oil 100% pure and safe with no nasties. Basically Trilogy did not lie to us and the oil is pure, but it didn’t work on me because everyone’s skin is different. But this is a good oil because now I know it doesn’t contain any skin ruining chemical.

Warning: Not all Rosehip Oils are equal! Having tried perhaps from a dozen brands in the past, I’ve noticed a recurring theme…the darker the color and richer the aroma, the better the efficacy of the Rosehip oil (hereafter referred to as RHO). This directly translates into results. Example: the lightest ones I used would take over a month to clear a blemish left by acne whereas the darkest I used could achieve the same within half the time! Trilogy’s falls somewhere in the middle. It’s a light yellow to orange and comes in a protective brown glass bottle with a handy dropper. One or two drops of this each night as the last part of my routine and I’m all set. Simple and easy.
BUT there are a couple of things I really need to point out as it seems many folks are not aware:
Firstly, you need to use sun protection during the day if you use RHO on a night. This is because it contains a high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids which can easily oxidize, although that doesn’t mean the oil is phototoxic (it isn’t). More importantly it is naturally very high in Vitamin A (which is what Retinol is derived from) and you wouldn’t skip SPF if using Retinol right? Same thing applies here.
Secondly, I don’t really believe RHO should be used during the daytime at all, the same way you wouldn’t use a retinol product during the day. Sure the directions state you should use twice a day (and forget to mention following with SPF) but it’s fairly easy to understand why a business would want you to use their product twice a day instead of just once! Imo it’s just not required. For daytime simply stick to a good SPF, preferably over a moisturizer or serum rich in antioxidants – Vitamin C, E, Ferulic Acid, Green Tea, Lycopene, Niacinamide etc, all of which serve an actual function – to help counteract UV and environmental damage throughout the day. RHO just won’t do that!
Rosehip Oil is definitely one of the most effective natural carrier oils one could apply to their skin, but as with everything, there are things to be aware of and to take into consideration before you do.

This made me breakout with tiny little bumps near my nose on my cheeks (I don’t normally breakout anywhere near my cheeks). It seems to sit on my skin without really absorbing, but the bottle lasts ages and it’s pretty cheap on sale.

Either one, Rosehip oil or the Argan oil are perfect for my face. Nice base for makeup. Probably best for older faces and/or night product too before bed.

I have recently started using this at night in place of a regular moisturizer and I’ll never go back. This has been amazing at keeping my skin hydrated yet still allowing it to breathe. Rosehip oil is said to be a balancing oil I believe that to be true. With my oily/combination skin I find when I’ve used this that my skin appears to be producing far less oil than before. Another benefit of Rosehip oil is that overtime and can help even out skin tone. I have noticed that my overall tone appears to be more even now as well. For the money, this has been one of the best products I’ve put in my face in a very long time.

I feel conflicted about this oil. It is tremendous at moisturing and treating dry, dehydrated skin.I typically get very dry during the winter but my skin felt moist the entire winter and I didn’t have a single flake on my face HOWEVER the oil sits on top of your skin, doesn’t absorb very well and makes you look very shiny. I mean grease ball shiny and I’ve used my fair share of facial oils. You’ll need a lot of powder after your foundation if you’re going to use this in the morning.
There’s one other downside that bothers me more than the disco ball action I’ve got going on with my face; doesn’t smell so great- kind of like fish oil. I’m usually okay with scents as they typically go away but this one lingers for a bit and because it doesn’t absorb onto your skin, it’ll get onto your pillows, stay on your pillows and make your room smell not so pleasant. I remember thinking one day, hmmm..why doesn’t my room smell fresh anymore (I’m a bit of a clean freak and wipe everything almost every day) and I realized it was my pillow case. I change my pillow cases twice a week but even one day with this oil was too much.
So if you’re okay with a facial oil that is tremendously effective but will leave you smelling a bit like fish oil along with anything your face rests on, then you’ve got yourself a great product here for a phenomenal price.
For all others, steer clear.

This stuff is brilliant and cost-effective. It’s this lovely, slippery golden oil that is the answer to your sensitive, dry skin nightmares. I put 3 or 4 drops in my moisturizer both AM and PM and it boosts the staying power of your creams without sitting on your skin. It won’t make your skin super slick and shiny–it’s still perfectly good under makeup (I use it in conjunction with Avene’s Skin Recovery Cream underneath my foundation) and it has not broken me out–and I have unbearably sensitive skin. I even daub a bit on during the day if I’m feeling like my skin’s dried out. You can pat a bit on over your foundation without ruining it. I really don’t ever plan on giving this glorious stuff up.

The rosehip is thick and it does not have a very strong smell. I tried applying it directly to my face then the night cream. However, it is too thick and rich as I get 1 or 2 pimples the next morning even though the skin looks more radiant and hydrated. So, I have to use the rosehip oil with my night cream instead.
I simply hate the bottle of the rosehip oil. It comes with a pump rather than a dipper. Each time when I pump the bottle, so much oil is dispensed which is so wasteful. In the end, I have to open the bottle and drop the oil from the end of the pump instead.
Overall, I will not buy this product again. It is simply too rich for my skin.

Holy grail. I use a lot of serums and oils and always come back to this one. I recommend this oil to my friends as i know it is 100% pure rosehip. It is so gentle and calms my angry dry eczema-prone skin. I find it heals any blemishes faster as well. You can mix this with other moisturisers, serums and oils as i think it is a carrier oil? I like to mix it with my sea buckthorn oil.

I use facial oils daily and have been doing so for at least 15 years. There are many I love and that work for my sensitive, combo, break out prone skin. This oil did not work for me at all. I was very surprised as I had hear even Princess Kate uses it! ???? I found it did not apply nicely/smoothly, didn’t absorb into my skin it rather mostly sat atop my skin, felt like it left an almost gritty film on the skin surface, and didn’t hydrate as well as I was hoping it would. Worst of all, it causes me tiny bumps and some tiny pimples on my cheeks (my tupically non problematic area of my face). I also noticed seriously dry skin on my cheeks – even to the point of peeling/flaking. I suspect the peeling is from this oil though i’m not entirely certain. The bottle and dropper are super and I love the price and that it’s organic. It just did not work for me. This is the first Rosehip Oil I have tried, so I may try others yet.

Excellent product. I apply this at night, and I wake up with soft skin. Does not clog pores or cause acne, I actually find it helps to reduce the size of pimples. Also helps to prevent scarring and get rid of recent scars. Unfortunately it doesn’t get rid of my old scars but I wouldn’t expect it to
