I hate to bring the ratings of this product down, but on, or the way my skin reacts to products, this was horrendously ineffective. It did nothing during the term I used it. Once a week, for a month. And my skin is very responsive to anything and this brought nothing. No glow, no diminished pigmentation or a balancing of it. Nada. The only thing it did was make my skin burn uncomfortably for a while, and I never left it more than 5 minutes. I do not recommend.

I did my first MUAC Radiance peel yesterday. I washed my face, applied witch hazel to prep and applied a nice layer (1-1.5 layers) of the acid to my face and neck using a cotton pad. I left on for 6 minutes.
I felt a tingling feeling for the first 3 minutes. I wouldn’t describe it as pain or burning, but more like an uncomfortable itching sensation – on a scale of 4 out of 10 – 10 being the worst.
I removed it in the shower by letting warm water run on my face for a few minutes. I used my fingers to massage my skin to remove the acid while the water was running and it made my face tingle even more so I stopped. I didn’t want to irritate my skin and wasn’t sure what to expect. I continued to let water run on my face for several more minutes and then washed with my Desert Essence (Tea Tree) face wash.
Once I got out of the shower, I let my skin dry for about 10 minutes before I applied any moisturizer. My skin felt dry, but not drier than normal. A few areas where I have flat, under the skin pimples no longer felt active. The corners of my nose and around the mouth felt dry, tingly, and tight.
I moisturized with a basic facial moisturizer avoiding any products with AHA or BHA for the next 24 hours. I didn’t notice an immediate glow after rinsing off the peel – although the state my skin is in right now, *glow* isn’t an option.
Day 2: The next morning…no peeling…no nothing. Despite how sh*tty my skin looks, it feels so soft. Still no glow.
I plan to use this mask once a week. I will continue to update.

This is a brilliant product!
I have used a few different MUAC peels now and I think this might be my favourite. I have oily, acne prone skin. I don’t break out too badly anymore, but I have tons of blackheads, some enlarged pores and acne scars. This peel leaves my skin smooth and glowing! I believe it is slowly but surely helping fade some acne scars, but I expect I’ll need to use it for a while longer to really see results on those. My pores look SO small after I used this, and what I like most, is that my skin continues to look glowy, fresh and pore less for days afterwards. I don’t peel from this which I like as there’s no down time. I just get better skin without the hassle!
I believe it is 80% organic, which I also like.
I use it for about 7-8 mins usually, however I have built up a tolerance to peels.
I would definitely recommend trying this peel! It’s awesome and I can’t wait to see what prolonged use will achieve! Ease your way into it and always remember to use a sunscreen when using peels as it can make your skin more sensitive to the sun which could undo all your hard work!
For reference, I have also used these peels from MUAC…
Mandelic: a great starter peel. No down time for this peel. Makes skin glowing and beautiful looking, however I find the results don’t last as long as the radiance peel. Still a fav of mine though!
Lactic acid (55%): definitely harsher, I don’t peel but for a couple days after, my skin looks a little leathery in places. Sometimes I get red patches after using in places where I’ve frosted (frosting is where peel goes whitish). I think this is a good peel for acne marks, mine usually look lighter after using this, however I don’t like the process of my skin looking a bit meh for a few days after and the red patches I sometimes get. I’m still going to use this though as my skin definitely looks nicer a few days after!
TCA (8%): this peel doesn’t have much downtime for me. My skin burns a little more with TCA on it. This didn’t make me peel, however my skin was a pretty red afterwards. I don’t think the results from TCA are worth the hassle for me personally, but then again, I’ve never consistently used it.
TCA (24%): not for the faint hearted! My skin frosted pretty quick with this on! I only left it on a couple minutes and afterwards my skin looked extremely red and irritated. I found I broke out a lot after using this. Perhaps that’s dirt being pushed out, but I still don’t think I’d used this peel again. It seems a little too harsh for me. It could probably yield fantastic results for those who are patient and willing to put up with the side effects for a while!

I’m a bit surprised by the reviews here, but maybe I received a bad batch?
I bought it based partially on the reviews here and because it sounded great (a nice mix of acids and simple ingredients.)
My main issue is that the product is very weak. I have sensitive skin and could easily use this twice a week if not doing any other exfoliation. In fairness, I do not “prep” my skin before hand with alcohol/acetone, but stil. To give you an idea, I put it on for 10 minutes tonight (twice as long as they recommend), immediately after washing, and I have just a slight hint of pinkishness to my skin 45 minutes later.
It’s not bad per se, but I was hoping for something a bit stronger.

WOW! Pretty much blown away by this peel. Why? It gives you results of a higher-grade chemical peel but with NO downtime. No actual “peeling” here. Just renewed, softer, smoother skin.
I’m a skincare junkie and have done/used/bought pretty much every treatment, serum or product out there. I LOVE this radiance peel!
It’s so gentle, I sometime use it daily. My skin is incredibly smooth after using it. The bottle is pretty tiny, but a little bit goes a long way. Less is more, no need to waste product.
TIP – Make sure your skin is 100% DRY before putting this on your face. Wash your face and then wait 20 minutes or so before applying the peel. Otherwise you’ll get unnecessary irritation.

WOW. I’ve used the 8% BHA serum and the 25% Mandelic Acid peel from MUAC, but this peel rocks my socks off! I left this on for 5 minutes, washed it off, and that was the last I saw of the giant, stretched-out pores on my nose. I did this peel 2 days ago, and since then I’ve had quite a bit of flakies on my nose and chin. I’ve still got almost poreless skin on my nose and the PIH marks have faded a LOT.
I only ordered a sample size, but this should last a good long time since so little of the product is needed. So inexpensive and effective! I’ve had bad skin since the moment I hit puberty – can’t imagine how much mental anguish and physical pain and money something like this would have saved me over the past 30 years! At least I know about this now and if my son starts having skin issues when he hits his teens, we’ll definitely get him started early with these products. Again, I have to thank all of the beauty gurus here at MUA for introducing me to this company’s products. I never would have heard about this stuff, and would have probably been too skeptical or scared to try it.
This was only my first Radiance peel, so I’ll be updating with my further experiences.
UPDATE 7/23/14: Second Radiance Peel, no peeling or flaking, gaw-geous skin, further decreased PIH, totally flattened a painful larger blemish that was just beginning. Very happy!
UPDATE 1/3/15: Just wanted to say that I’m still using this regularly and I love it! I alternate between using this or the glycolic peel once a week and they do a stellar job of keeping my pores clear and tighter. I’ve almost used up my first trial size bottle and will be buying more soon – cannot be without this stuff!
UPDATE 2/23/16: Still using weekly. This has changed my skin and my life. Breakouts are so much less frequent, and they’re usually only the hormonal kind. LOVE.

This product kinda sorta rules my face. I am in my early 30’s, and this is one of the best skincare products I own. My skin is oily, therefore my skin is aging very well. However, I have slight hyperpigmentation from breakouts, period-related breakouts and occasional funky texture issues. I don’t really have much for lines yet (remember I am oily), but I do have a small smile/laugh line creeping up slightly.
EACH AND EVERY TIME I use this peel, my skin is as smooth as freaking GLASS. Everything looks smoother and just perfected. I almost look like I have botox or something. It gets rid of any congestion and breakouts right away and, yes, it gives my skin a beautiful radiance.
This peel is so affordable, I will be buying it until I find something I like more (I haven’t yet, obviously).
If you are in your late 20’s- 30’s and have minor issues that bug you, TRY THIS!

I believe this my first review? I’m 56 years old and bought this peel on the advice of a friend who looks twenty years younger than she is. I got the sample bottle and use it on my face, neck, chest and hands. I expect it to last 6 months, and for 14.00 – WOW! I started off at 5 minutes (I’ve been using AHAs and Retin A for years) and have worked up to 10 minutes. It DOES sting/burn on my skin, but it’s worth it.
This stuff is the best! I don’t peel from it, but it leaves my facial skin glowing and smooth, the texture has improved quite a bit over the last few months (and it wasn’t bad to begin with). The BIG difference though, is on my hands! It has faded some spots, but the major improvement is on the texture of my skin. Before, my hands looked rough and dry with little wrinkles all over. After several months of weekly use, my hands look like someone else’s hands…someone a lot younger! Smooth, hydrated and not wrinkly or crepe-y! I use it all over the backs of my hands, wrist and fingers. HG status!

This is the first peel that actually made me really peel. In all the area’s I needed my smile lines. This one line or scar it’s very thin but it’s between my eyebrows and I dislike it. Well that peeled. My chin and cheeks which is where I concentrate most because my cheeks have the acne damage. Oh it peeled it really good. Not disgusting like a snake or as advanced as the TCA but so far I think it worked a little better than the Mandelic 25% and my AHA 40% peels. I had no idea I was peeling till my boy friend said babe your peel worked. I look in the mirror and I was like wow all the bad places are peeling yay! I don’t mind some down time and with this peel the down time if you can call it that is a day if you peel really bad.
For me I just used MUAC’s Lactic C Cleansing Scrub(amazing btw) using a gentle cleanser 1st then the Lactic Scrub there wasn’t a flake in sight after! My skin was glowing my lines fading and I’m 33 so I have light smile lines and genetic forehead lines which are diminishing as well. This peel has lactic, mandelic, aha, and bha, exfoliants in it I believe which made it so good for my skin. I’m combo with acne that is gone except one spot here or there and the ones that are healing. No more sun damage thanks to Retin A and these peels eliminated any sun spots that were left.
I am so happy with MUAC products they ship super fast, no frills just an excellent product and actual results in my own home. You can’t beat it! This is definitely a peel to try if you have been using other ones and want to keep your skin extra radiant. Surprisingly it’s recommended only once a week, so I will do my Mandelic 25% in between to keep my skin looking good. I also find if I have a pimple after one of these peels they are gone or flattened. Or with barely any pressure and I mean no pressure and the pimple pops and by the next day it was like what zit!?!? No scarring or red marks either on my pale skin which, is wonderful because my skin gets so red no matter what usually.
Really for someone like me who has had acne forever this is HG for me. These peels are HG so you really can’t go wrong but this is a definite good one to try. Give it patience and time but you will get awesome results and there customer service is top notch! I really couldn’t be happier with a company and am happy to support it. Thank you MUA or I would never know half this stuff was available to use at home. It’s affordable and after a few peels you’ll never want to go back because your skin is just that soft and smooth it’s addicting because having good skin is something I always wanted and now almost have.
Definitely Recommended!

Many people recommended this product to me to help diminish old acne scars. I hadn’t been breaking out for about 6 months, and figured I’d give it a try. I hate to be the Debbie Downer of this product’s reviews, but I feel as if my experience with it is equally as important as the positive reviews.
I cleansed my face with a gentle, non-medicated cleanser, had stopped using retinol and acne products a few nights before, and applied this peel to my face. It tingled at first, then felt like I was being stabbed in the face with needles over and over again. The sharp pains shot around my face, and an intense itching began after the first minute. After removing the peel, my face felt much better, was a tiny bit red, but looked overall alright. I thought that the pain would be worth the results.
I waited for the peeling phase that I was told to expect, and that never happened. Instead, two weeks after applying the mask, I began to break out all over my face in pimples, mostly on my forehead where I never usually break out. The pimple attack would not go away no matter what I tried doing to help soothe the skin and combat the acne. I continued getting constant pimples for about two months after the initial breakout two weeks after application. While the pimples were mostly small, there were just so many and so spread over my entire face that I couldn’t hide them well.
After the pimples started to subside (though I should note that I still get a couple a week now), I noticed that they were leaving indented scars that I had never experienced before. So currently, my face looks like the surface of the moon, plus some pimples on top of that. I couldn’t be more disappointed in a product than I was with this one.
The moral of the story is that strong peels like this one affect everyone differently. I had done the patch test with no negative results as the product suggested. My skin looks worse now than I think it ever has, and I feel like hiding in a hole and not coming out until this nightmare ends.
