I wanted to add a little bit of retinol to my routine because I have these really really really shallow acne scars/redness that really only I can notice, but still….it’s been years since I’ve gone through puberty and I’m tired of staring at its after effects even if it is small! It’s good to give retinol a shot for your skin any way so I thought why not? These were reasonably priced, easier than getting a prescription from a dermatologist, so I picked them up on a whim, not expecting a miracle or anything.
I’m very pleasantly surprised though. I started using the capsules once every other night to let my skin adjust to the retinol because you can never be too safe with this sort of thing….and no dryness, no breakouts, no irritation, no flakiness, no redness, and I’m already starting to see results. I don’t have super sensitive skin or anything, but I think it’s safe for someone to use these every night without experiencing any harsh side effects as your skin adjusts.
So I’m about halfway through the jar and as I stated, I can already tell a difference. My leftover redness from my teenage years is finally dissipating! The spot on my face where I have a tiny, shallow acne scar is already much smoother and literally un noticeable when I have makeup on. Halfway through the jar and I’m NOTICABLY more even toned and better textured? Yeah, that’s worth 5 lippies!
Plus the price is very reasonable for the quality of product you are getting. I read the ingredient list and am so pleased there are no harsh, idiotic additives that are absolutely terrible for your skin that so many cosmetic companies just LOVE sticking in their products for some reason—I’m looking at you, denatured alcohol and fragrance.
The capsules are kind of cool because they neatly store the product and protect the integrity of the ingredients. However, they are kind of hard for me to open—maybe I’m doing it wrong? I twist the end of it until it pops open but sometimes I accidentally squirt out some of the product all over the place and waste it, instead of having it neatly push out. There is also not a lot of product within the capsule. Maybe this is by design so people don’t overuse it and apply too much. It’s just enough to cover my small problem area, so I don’t need a lot, but still…if someone was using this for fine lines and wrinkles, they would have to extract the product carefully and apply it very carefully as well to make sure you can reach all of your problem areas without having to open another capsule. Retinol is by no means meant to cover one’s entire face, but I really feel like they could have made the capsules a little bigger.
All in all this is just nitpicking. It’s a solid product for a great price and with great ingredients. I’m glad
I found this little beauty!!! It’s helped me a ton. I can definitely see it working well for crows feet, fine lines, and shallow wrinkles in addition to hyperpigmentation and any kind of minimal texture issue, the latter being what I can attest to! It works!

The capsule packaging is cool, and the formula has a lovely silky feel, but it broke me out. 🙁
I am pretty sure the soybean oil is the culprit. It went back to CVS; good thing they have an excellent return policy.

I am young but I use this to help clear up my acne as well as get rid of my dark marks. I like the silky feel of it and it makes my skin matte. I use it every other night instead of everynight.

Love this affordable retinol product; retinol being the 13th of 25 ingredients. You get 28 ampoules for $21.99. I wish it came with 30 for the price. Once opened, the ampoule delivers an amount of product that covers my face and a tiny bit of neck if I apply sparingly. The lotion that comes out is like a primer in consistency and looks. The scent is light and does not linger. I give this product credit for softened lines around my eyes and smile lines.
