Expensive and not worth it. The mist is not that good and even the product itself. It’s refreshing but does not make your makeup last nor fixes it.

I bought a trial sized version of this and will be returning. The product itself might be okay but the spray (it’s certainly not a mist) is so strong it just soaks your skin with a stream of liquid and wrecks your makeup. Would not repurchase, the bottle should be better at this price point.

This setting spray is wonderful,I use it everyday and it works amazingly. The only problem is the price,it is a little pricey it is 41 dollars but to me it’s worth it.

I decant this into an Urban Decay Spray Bottle because it gives it a better mist. Upon the advice of several staff at Sephora at different locations, I sprayed a ton til I could feel my face was wet. Gave it a few seconds to dry then I use a fixing spray like UD All Nighter or Ben Nye Final Seal. After that I use Cover FX Illuminating Setting Spray as a finishing spray.
I find All Nighter too drying as a setting spray, it’s much better as a Fixing/Lock it in spray.
Cover FX is too shiny and gets too splotchy with droplets if I use it as a setting spray (ie several pumps), so I use it lightly and sparingly as a finishing mist (2 pumps).
But as a setting spray, I really liked the MUFE Mist and Fix. Comparable to the UD Quick Fix but slightly cheaper. However, unlike Quick Fix, I won’t use MUFE as a priming spray–it doesn’t help makeup application.

Because of Make Up For Ever’s general high quality, I was expecting more from this, I guess, than it delivered. I got the travel size because I’ve just amassed way too much stuff and have come to realize that even with good products, I tend to tire of them or want to try “the next new thing”. I’d recently purchased Sephora’s makeup setting spray – which is AWESOME – because this was sold out but did purchase it as soon as it was restocked. For starters, the mist that this delivers is not very fine at all – I get uneven droplets, with some of them being quite large. This does an okay job of setting my makeup and making it look more moist and natural and seems to help somewhat, especially in summer, with extending wear time and keeping it from sort of “breaking down” as the day wears on. It’s a nice product but not nearly as good as others I’ve got – Clarins Fix Makeup, MAC Fix+ and the aforementioned Sephora Set and Refresh. The MUFE spray really isn’t worth the extra cost.

I bought this just because my skin, despite being on the oily/acne prone side, has some dry patches now, due to acne treatments and the weather. Well, my first impression was actually good… a few minutes after I sprayed the product on my face, my skin was kinda glowy in a good way, and the makeup looked more beautiful overall.
Two problems: first, I started to notice that my makeup didn’t seem to last longer, and the impression at the end ofthe day was that I looked kinda melted… So I decided to make a little test, sprayed the mist only on the left side of my face and went to work like everyday. My surprise? The makeup on the left side not only didn’t last longer but looked worse than the side without the product…
Second, I started to have more pimples than normal, but I blamed on my crazy hormones and moved on. The problem? I repeated the test above a few days and now only the left side of my face broke out, with some big red acne bumps spreaded all over it… The bottom line? Try this shit before buying it, because it may work for some people, but at least for me was the worst thing I did to my skin this year…

I like how this spray makes my make up look well-blended and fresh all day. Most days I just use Bare Minerals matte foundation powder (over moisturizer and Becca pore less priming perfector) and then a little bit of blush and this spray sets everything beautifully. Like other reviewers have written, it is not easy to control the amount with the spray nozzle. It will take some practice to figure out how far you need to have it away from your face so you don’t end up with big droplets. Some days when my face ends up a bit too wet, I just stand in front of a fan and it dries in no time and my makeup still looks great. A sales person at Sephora did say this works well with powder products (so perfect for Bare Minerals) but I have tried this on Tarte Rainforest of the Sea foundation and it worked well too. As for how it affects my makeup’s staying power, it does a good job BUT I have learned that there is a big difference between a setting spray and a finishing spray. Setting sprays make your base and blush and eye shadow sort of “weave” together like a veil while finishing sprays are meant to help your make up stay put. This product is more a setting spray rather than a finishing spray. If I need my make up to hold up through a long day, I find that it works best to spritz UD all-nighter spray on top of MUFE mist and fix. I will likely re-purchase this spray.

Doesn’t do the job. My makeup still slides after I literally douse my face in this setting spray. I hate the nasty hairspray/saliva smell that it has. Save your money!

Does the job. I have oily skin and after a long day my makeup looks pretty decent. Only downside is that when you spray it it smells like rotten eggs or something. Scent goes away after a few seconds. So I just hold my breath when I spray. And the spray does not spray evenly like a mist should. Otherwise good product.

I am actually using this because my mom got it from her friend and she doesn’t use it (so why waste it!?) – So I am not sure about the price because I haven’t checked it yet.
This is my first ever finishing mist so I don’t have much knowledge about this particular product. But here’s some of my pros and cons about this product:
pros:
– Makes my face dewy & glowy
– Makes my face make up looks well blended
– Helps my make up stays fresh longer
– It doesn’t break me out (I have insensitive skin, though 🙂 )
cons :
– Smells chemically
– The packaging is not very good.
– The spray makes more of a big water droplets rather than a mist.
Will buy again until I found a better finishing mist !
