This has worked wonders on my skin.!!! I have super sensitive combination acne prone skin…in the middle of this summer my skin got so dry and dull and nothing u tried was helping until this baby comes along…. i use right after i wash my face but i mix it up with my normal la roche posay toner…i feel like my skin takes it in better when its diluted..when its still damp then i put on the hydrating serum theb cream…
Ever since u incorporate this into my routine my cream absorb so much better into my skin..there is no oily film on top liked my skin wont eat it in…
My skin is so suble and smooth and calm..it hasnt been behaving this well for a long time!! I m actually suprised by so many negative reviews and i highly recommend this product!!!!
***update: took off some lippies because i have developed alot of bumps on my chin and around my jaw line and i thought those are hormonal. I always take item out of my routine one in a while to see if it’s really doing anything to my skin…..turns out after i stop using this essense those bumps all disappeared within 1 month. No more non-stop chin break outs.

One word to describe it: GARBAGE!!!

Not a fan! Felt more oily than watery on me. I’ve used this for a month and didn’t notice a difference. More oily than the Lancôme one but not in love with that one either.

I bought Estee Lauder Micro Essence when EL was having a gift with purchase promotion, and I was already flush with other Estee Lauder products. Let me say right off the bat that I really regret this purchase. The essence is basically a viscuous liquid with ferments, which I can’t deny are gaining popularity with some niche skin care. I’m not sure I would call it a toner. Texture-wise it is between a toner and a serum. Only a few drops are needed to cover the entire face and neck, and this can be done with clean, bare hands to preserve product. I suppose that is acceptable, considering the exorbitant price per ml. Its humectant properties are also quite good at prepping the skin for serum, but it is not something that can’t be achieved with a less expensive and equally good product. The main reason I’m so unimpressed about this essence is that I find it to be somewhat irritating, and it does not really improve my skin when used over time. I find it optional for those who want that extra 0.1% of boost in their skin care routine, but ultimately unnecessary and a waste of money. Pass!

I got 3 travel size of this product and hopefully it wouldn’t break me out after using it for awhile. I like the effect of this essence/toner on my skin. I thought it was just a regular toner but it’s not. It says it helps with making the serums and moisturizers get fully absorbed into the skin. This is a $90 toner and I said I wouldn’t spend that much money on a toner, but I think I just might..

I received a generous amount of this product as a GWP when I bought another Estee Lauder product. I honestly don’t even understand what this product is suppose to do. I found no change in my skin for the good. When I get pimples on my forehead (a region I usually don’t get pimples) then I know this product is not for me. I have oily/combination skin and I just don’t think this product works for that skin type. I have noticed that other posters have said that this is similar to SKII, well that is disappointing because that is a product I really wanted to try.

This product came in a set. It doesn’t do anything other than making any products which are applied after sink in better. After a couple of weeks started to break me out, I was actually developing cystic acne. I stopped using it. A few months later used it again. After four uses my skin started to break out and it looked like I was going to develop more cystic acne, so I stopped it. I don’t think this is a coincidence, I believe the product caused this. The essence is an interesting concept but it did nothing good for me and it (potentially) gave me skin problems. Threw it away in the end.

This Essence has some nice ingredients but I wouldn’t buy it again. It helps the ANR and other serums absorb a little better, and it has an initial effect of feeling like you have sandwiched moisture if you have used it with a serum (could just be placebo though lol) but overall I didn’t notice any changes. These ingredients could also be found in a mist and/or serum at a much better price. The price of this Essence is quite ridiculous to be honest at $125 AUD.

I’ve been using Missha’s Essence for a few months but noticed my skin started to burn after applying it. I had a sample of the EL Micro Essence that I’ve been meaning to try, but never got around too. I do know that Estee Lauder has been pouring a lot of researching into new products and this is one of them. It’s nice to see the big mall brands branching out into the Korean skincare. After researching I found a great review on the Beautemia beauty blog.
I found this was a nice gentle essence in my skincare routine and I returned back to the Missha essence for a bit. When my husband went on a business trip, I convinced him to take this with him. He has pretty bad rosacea and it’s almost impossible to get him to try anything as it stings his skin. He returns saying that using the EL Micro Essence really helped calm his skin down in addition to using a La Roche Possay gel.
I ran through my sample and went on to buy a full sized product when Estee Lauder had an online 15% discount. Bonus – it’s a product my husband is willing to use as part of his skin care routine and an essence I can interchange with the Missha’s essence. I believe (but don’t quote me on it) the yeast ferments in the Estee Lauder product are of a lesser concentration than the Missha’s one.
