How do I explain just how amazing this product is? I spray this about 3-4 times in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together and pat all over my face. It is full of antioxidants and hydrating ingredients and it is one of the best parts of my skincare routine. The texture, the scent, the ingredients, there are not enough praises I can give for this mist. I love this stuff so much. In fact, I have (and love) all the skin care products by this brand; so much so that I haven’t purchased any other skincare. I have been using up what was in my stash but I’m done trying new things. Except for my tarte maracuja c-brighter eye treatment and The Ordinary AHA/BHA peeling mask, this is it for me. Mad Hippie AM and PM.

I’m really surprised that this product has not gain much attention. I have sensitive skin and realized that whenever i incorporate oil into my routine my skin would end up clogging. That is why i am loving this mist,it has similar ingredients as the Mad Hippie vit c serum without the oil. So far i just noticed little cystic pimples on my forehead, however it makes my skin look awake. Will definitely repurchase once i ran out of it.

Over the last month or so, I’ve been on a bit of an beauty routine overhaul. So far I have had really good luck scoring amazing beauty products just based on reading ingredient labels and reviews from others. This has never been an easy thing with my oily, acne-prone skin. It has been great finally finding something that works.
Anyway, I had recently added Mad Hippie Vit C Serum & Exfoliating Serums to my daily rituals. Along with Roc products for the retinol content. MH Exfoliating Serum at night before Roc Deep Wrinkle Night Cream. MH Vit C Serum during the day mixed with a drop of organic Aloe Vera & a drop of Acure Seriously Glowing serum. Followed by Roc Daily Moisturizer with SPF.
This combination of products really tamed the chronic cystic acne I had on my chin and lower cheeks. It greatly faded the wrinkles I had, especially around my mouth.
Even though my new routine is working, I still wanted a couple more components with anti-aging properties. That’s where Mad Hippie Hydrating Nutrient Mist comes in. I see this product as a booster for their Vitamin C serum. MH Hydrating Nutrient Mist has some shared ingredients like: Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid. I was happy HNM has resveratrol and even alpha lipoic acid in it. It’s pretty potent stuff while still being pretty mild; and you realize that once you smell it and apply it. I don’t know how Mad Hippie does this with their products, but it’s awesome.
Now, I do not find this spray hydrating in the least. It’s actually a little drying. Which surprised me, being the oil vat that I am XD. Not to the point of peeling, or anything extreme. Just a little uncomfortable. However, it makes your skin look nearly flawless and glowy. Seems to fill in wrinkles. My skin looks smooth and healthy. Upon application, this Hydrating Mist might itch a little. That’s why I removed a lippie. It irritated my skin a bit the first time I used it. Those with sensitive skin, proceed with caution. I now add organic aloe vera and a couple drops of rosehip seed oil, to make up for the dryness that ensues. It smells a bit like glue mixed with beer, which is don’t mind. It’s better than added fragrance.
I like this product so far and I can tell that it is helping my skin, in that it looks clearer, brighter and even seems to have a tightening effect. (Hence the slight itchiness). Impressive. But I need to test it for a longer period of time to see if those effects remain. I’m happy to say that it doesn’t break me out.
For once, I’ve FINALLY found something that works. For me, that means helping control my oily skin, clearing up cystic, hormonal acne, helping with the wrinkles starting to form. All without drying out my skin or making it more oily. Tall order, I know. It also all needed to be affordable with a formidable ingredient list with some science backing their claims.
With that being said, I will buy this product again. It gives immediate results, which is rare. It’s earth friendly and cruelty free. Mad Hippie Hydrating Nutrient Mist is also relatively inexpensive. The ingredient list is awesome. It is loaded with skin-pampering, anti-aging goodness. This product is comparable to higher end face products.
Update:
I discovered that this is really nice to spray on over Roc Deep Wrinkle Night Cream. First, I let RDWNC sink into my skin for at least half an hour. Then, a few spritzes of MH Hydrating Nutrient Mist into my clean, freshly washed hand. Then, I press it into my skin with my finger tips, patting gently. I even put it on my eyelids and around my eyes. No irritation. Great to use both day and night for added anti-aging benefits. This mist is getting a lot of use. Love it! Will buy again.
