Beautiful scent. Beautiful bottle. Feels refreshing on your face. However, I saw no results. For reference, my problems are acne, crows feet, oily skin, and a few wrinkles on my forehead. My face looks and feels the same. Try it out. If you see a difference, great. But don’t let the “CHANEL” fool you into thinking it will definitely work. It’s not for everyone.

I absolutely love this stuff! I received a sample a while back and tried it out, and thought it was amazing…so I purchased a smaller bottle off of e-bay before I totally committed to buying the full size, Chanel prices being what they are…but this stuff is great. It give a glow to my dull, winter skin…I think it’s definitely worth the investment!

I received the micro serum and creme’ moisturizer as samples and loved them both. I am close to 70 and live on Kauai. I’m out in the sun quite a bit and have not been as attentive to my skin as I should have been. I was developing wrinkles and looking haggard. After I used the sampl products for a few days, I was seeing results. I quickly ordered both and bit the bullet where price was concerned. I’m worth it, right? After almost a month, the improvement is quite visible. I use it only at night or also when I’m ready to go out. I’ve used nothing else. I will continue to use Hydra beauty products from now on and am delighted at my results. I love the scent of the serum. I don’t find either the serum or cream to be sticky, instead it absorbs rather quickly. I’m sold! Thank you, Chanel.

I tried a sample of this twice, and while I did enjoy the highly unnecessary scent, the serum caused slight burning upon application. The first time I used it I assumed it was just my dry skin, but there will be no third try. It also left a slight film and a bit of a tacky feeling on my skin, which I find is a common trait of hydration boost serums and masks.
This is ridiculously overpriced for what it is though- you would be better off buying either hyaluronic acid or a better formulated cream containing it. Normally I’d be a bit nicer in my reviews, but upon seeing the price of this and the ingredients, I would definitely recommend skipping it. Over a hundred dollars for water, glycerine, fragrance and a few drops of active ingredients! No, no, no.

This serum is quite rich. I only need 1 pump for my whole face it really hydrate my skin after use. It give a little sticky feel and shine but I top with moisturizer and loose powder.

I’m only half way through my 30ml bottle and I have already bought a 50ml. This serum is fantastic. It’s the only product that has truly addressed my dehydration concerns. I wouldn’t necessarily call it lightweight, but it definitely isn’t too heavy for my oily skin. If anything, I just give it a couple of minutes to sink in before the rest of my regime. It really helps plump up the skin and provides lasting hydration, so it does exactly what it says on the tin!

I’ve had this product for about six months, and I had a chance to test in the Winter, Spring and Summer. I have skin that was excessively oily and very acne-prone between the ages of 13 and 38. I’ve spent thousands of dollars throughout the years in topical and oral medications for this condition, and in religious visits to facialists and dermatologists. Last year, my skin finally began normalizing itself, though I still get acne and excess oiliness during certain days of the month (you know those). Overall, I am much happier with my skin now. With this being said, here are my thoughts on this product:
Pros:
1) Did not irritate my skin. I am not particularly sensitive, but several Chanel products irritate my skin, ranging from a mild burning sensation (Le Lift, Le Blanc, Sublimage, Le Beige foundation) to full-blown hives that required a visit to the ER (Base Ombre a Paupieres). This is surprisingly mild.
2) It works. While if feels light on the skin, it does some heavy-duty moisturizing, at least on my skin type. I have a stubborn patch of flaky skin on the side of my mouth that does not respond to moisturizers, even ones prescribed by my dermatologist. This, along with an oil by Fresh (Seaberry) are the only two products that control those flakes.
3) The packaging is pretty and hygienic. The pump feels sturdy and efficient, and I like how much product it dispenses.
4) The product has a mild, fresh and pleasant scent that dissipates quickly. While this is a plus for me, it may pose a problem for those who are sensitive to fragrances. The texture of the product feels smooth, elegant and spa-like as well.
Cons:
1) Overpriced. I paid around 100 dollars for the smaller bottle, and I suspect that the formula is mostly fragrant glycerin.
2) Can make foundation too shiny and sticky for my taste. I don’t get the whole obsession with greasy-looking skin (AKA “dewy”), and this product can definitely do that. If you like that finish, however, this should work well for you.
3) May not be moisturizing enough in the dead of Winter. At that point, I switch to the Hydra Beauty Crème.
4) Too moisturizing in the Summer. On those days, I just wash my face and skip moisturizer altogether. Really, what’s the point?
Would I buy this product again? Probably.
I think people with the following skin types may enjoy this product: slightly dry, normal, slightly oily.
Very oily types – unnecessary, unless you wish to highlight the shiny aspect of your skin.
Very dry types – this won’t be moisturizing enough for you, unless you layer it with a richer product.

I used a teeny sample size of this product over the course of three days. (Yes, three!) You really only need a small amount – perhaps not even a full pump of product should cover your entire face. This is super hydrating & a tiny bit packs a punch.
My only scruple is that it feels a bit heavy on my skin. Almost tacky. I haven’t had this experience with other serums, but perhaps I’m just unused to a heavier formula. I prefer lightweight serums that absorb right into my skin. However, it is super hydrating & leaves my skin feeling supple & soft. For those who aren’t a fan of scented skincare, you probably won’t like this as it has a slight floral scent.
With the high price point I wouldn’t purchase. It seems steep compared to the price of other serums I currently use that I like more. Not a bad product, just not for me. 🙂

Got a free sample (tiny – .75 mL) of Hydra Beauty Micro Serum – and it is mostly water, glycerin, and FRAGRANCE – a ton of strong fragrance. A teeny bit of Hyaluronic acid (last ingredient) and a load of chemicals in between.
For the super high (Chanel) price there is no way I would ever buy this.
Meanwhile, it is light (if you can get past the fragrance) and hydrating and just an OK serum.

I have a sample of this serum and it works really well. A little bit of product goes a long way and it makes my skin feel so hydrated. It’s hard to tell if I’ll buy this serum because I honestly haven’t tried a ton of serums and the price on this is a little steep compared to what I usually buy.
