Yes, it’s outrageously expensive. Egregiously so. Sure, there are plenty of other hyaluronic serums out there that are far less expensive. I wanted so badly to dislike this. Sadly, I like it. What sets this serum apart are the other ingredients that comprise the base. I looked into more affordable options from Amazon to high end dept. stores only to realize how much junk is in the alternatives.
After a particularly bad week for my skin (dry), I cleansed and used my Chanel Gommage which helped my skin, but left it in desperate need of moisture. I actually had flakes on my face which is super unusual for me, but forced AC with no humidity is no bueno. I put 1 pipette of this serum in my palm and used my fingers to dab around my face before rubbing my hands together and gently sweeping the serum over my entire face and neck, including my eye area. My skin was instantly calmed and hydrated. The consistency is a very lightweight gel that isn’t too runny. I’ve taken to applying the drops directly to my face so I don’t waste any on my hands. It’s become the first step after cleansing and toning in my nightly regimen.
Sadly, it’s not a good value. I’ve taken to only cleansing my face at night and splashing it with water and sunscreen in the morning. Dr. Sturm advises to only cleanse once a day, at night. It’s only been 10 days and the bottle is 25% gone! This is not something I’m willing to purchase every month. But if I could afford to, I would…
